Objectives: to validate an educational video aimed at the adhesion of human papillomavirus vaccination. Methods: a methodological study, where the knowledge about the theme and the technology to be constructed in six focal groups was identified; a theoretical framework was set up and the existing videos were uploaded. After that, pre-production, production and post-production were followed. In validation of content, 22 specialists participated, and in appearance, ten adolescents, ten mothers, ten teachers and ten audiovisual professionals. Absolute frequency, Binomial Test, and Content Validity Index were used. Results: agreement was satisfactory in most items. Regarding relevance, 20 items had indices above 0.80 among judges. Assessment was positive among girls and mothers. Only three items had indices less than 0.80 among teachers and video professionals. Conclusions: the educational video was validated, conferring credibility to contribute to educational actions and improve vaccination indexes.
Objective: Toanalyze the scientific literature related to the way in which occupational stress is present in the life of a nurse who works in an emergency care setting. Methods: Weperformed an integrative review of the literature using the Bdenf, Lilacs, Medline, and Pubmed databases, and the Scielo repository. The inclusion criteria for sample selection were: articles published in Portuguese and English which reflected the theme of the study, published and indexed in these databases within the last 10 years. Results:We selected eight articles. The results indicated that the occupational stress of nurses in emergency care is related to the scarcity of human resources and number of hours worked, the physical plant and inadequate material resources, as well as night shifts, the work-home interface, interpersonal relationships, competitive work climate, and the gap between theory and practice. Conclusion:The meaning of work for professionals contributes to their protection against suffering and occupational stress. Objective To identify self-care actions for the maintenance of arteriovenous fistula of renal patients. Method An integrative review study was conducted and literature were searched in Medline/PubMed, Scopus, CINAHL, LILACS, BDENF and SciELO Library databases using the descriptors chronic renal insufficiency, arteriovenous fistula, self-care, and knowledge. The inclusion criteria were that the documents be written in Portuguese, English, and Spanish, full text available, published in the last five years, and that they address the research question. Reflection articles, theses, dissertations, editorials of non-scientific journals, and research studies that did not follow the necessary methodological rigor were excluded. Data were analyzed with the IRAMUTEQ software. Results Fifteen articles were selected and comprised the final sample. Seven classes of self-care actions emerged from the text segments analysis and grouped into three categories: 1) Self-care actions that maintain the arteriovenous fistula; 2) Self-care actions for the prevention and the monitoring of complications with arteriovenous fistula; 3) Self-care actions directed at the perioperative period of arteriovenous fistula preparation. Conclusion The results allowed us to identify important care for the maintenance of arteriovenous fistula functionality. The self-care actions identified in this study can guide a nursing care policy for implementation with protocols that help identify problems related to self-care actions and, thus, subsidize the development of actions aimed at the renal patient. However, more studies with high levels of evidence that identify self-care actions with arteriovenous fistula and the factors involved in its implementation are needed.
Objective: To identify the prevalence of diabetes and its relation to associated factors in elderly persons receiving care at a specialist gerontology-geriatric outpatient service. A descriptive cross-sectional study of 301 elderly persons of both genders was performed. Method: The bivariate analysis was performed using the Pearson's Chi-square test for Independence and Fisher's exact test, considering 5% of significance and 95% confidence. A multivariate logistic regression model was adjusted to identify factors that may influence the occurrence of diabetes. Result: There was no statistically significant association between the prevalence of diabetes and socioeconomic and demographic variables, behavioral factors and health conditions. Only the Body Mass Index variable was close to being statistically significant ( p=0.059). Conclusion: The result confirms the need to develop new studies on the subject to consider the particularities and specificities of the elderly population to enable the creation of educational intervention strategies aimed at this group.
Objective: to analyze the social network of young female transsexuals who live with HIV/AIDS. Method: descriptive and exploratory study of qualitative approach, based on the Social Network Theory, developed in a Brazilian reference hospital for HIV/AIDS, with six transsexual women. Individual interviews were recorded and transcribed, and the data were subjected to analysis of similarities through the software program IRaMuTeQ. Results: the categories observed were: 1) dynamics of primary social network and social challenges; 2) dynamics of secondary social network and the institutional prejudice. Final considerations: the dynamics of the social network is based on the lack of support of primary and secondary networks, and the containment process limits the reach of quality of life and social emancipation. To deal with this theme will provide the visibility of young female transsexuals in confronting vulnerabilities and guaranteeing human rights.

Objectives: identify the social representations of transsexual women living with HIV/AIDS. Methods: this is a qualitative descriptive exploratory study, based on the theory of social representations, conducted with six HIV/AIDS seropositive transsexual women from a hospital for patients with HIV/AIDS. For data collection, semi-structured interviews were conducted and later transcribed and analyzed with the help of Iramuteq (version 0.7) to produce a dendrogram of the descending hierarchical classification. Results: data were grouped into three classes: social thought and health/disease process; subjectivity and identity coping; and social determination and the context of vulnerability. Final Considerations: the elements of social representations were identified, based on commonsense knowledge, resulting from the way of thinking and acting and associated with the syndrome and social actors and sectors of the daily life of transsexual women. This study highlights the relevance of representational processes for humanized health care.
