Agricultural prices variation analysis is essential for the formulation of public policies and business decisions. Considering the strategic importance of olive oil for producers and consumers alike, as well as its potential economic and social benefits, this study aims to quantify the volatility of olive oil prices. The models are estimated using monthly data of olive oil prices (from January 1980 to February 2017) that was collected from IMF statistics. ARCH and GARCH models were used to estimate price volatility. Our results for olive oil show that volatility clashes of prices does not last for a long period of time, and thus olive oil is an interesting culture for new producer markets, as it is not a product that suffers from a huge volatility in price in the international market, mitigating the risk to rural producers and encouraging new local businesses. This study is limited by the data analysed and the methodology used. Further research should include more data and other statistical approaches (e.g., econometric panel data that considers different countries and several explanatory variables for price volatility).
ABSTRACTThe understanding of global problems and challenges has become increasingly important when we associate the technological evolution that we have had in recent decades with the need to guarantee the sustainability and / or sustainable development of this process. In this context, we will explore one of the ten areas of production engineering, Sustainability Engineering, which aims to plan the efficient use of natural resources in various production systems, the disposal and treatment of waste and effluent from these systems, as well as the implementation of a environmental management system and social responsibility. In this way, the article addresses the theme sustainable management (sustainable management) through a bibliometric study, with a metadata analysis of 63008 documents indexed to the Web of Science, between 1980 and 2018. mangam, understand the patterns of behavior. Through the proposed mapping, a scenario of evolution of the time theme is obtained over time, and it is expected that the gaps can be used as new tools for the sustainable management of sustainable management, both in the academy and in the way practice by the market.
Scientific production on Triple Bottom Line, although recent, has attracted the attention of literature. In this context, a series of factors are related to this interest, among them: (i) the scarcity of productive resources and; (ii) the need to optimize processes not only in economic terms, but especially in environmental and social aspects, has fostered the study of sustainability models. Given that, this research aims to conduct a bibliometric research on Triple Bottom Line Theory. To this end, an analysis of 1386 publications, published between 1999 and 2020, which are indexed with Web of Science database was developed. Additionally, this article presented the main contributors in the academic debate on this topic, as well as highlighted the areas of research in evidence at the present. It was found that the search for models for assessing environmental, economic and social performance is an object of great relevance today and that, among the main models used for this purpose, the class of Data Envelopment Analysis models stands out.

It was found that the search for models to assess environmental, economic and social performance is highly relevant today. It was also found that, among the main models used for this purpose, the class of Data Envelopment Analysis models stands out.
