There will be no more debates around the dinner table about the importance of effective communication in all aspects of life. As a result of this, English, as one of the languages used globally as a means of communication, has become critical to master. The purpose of this study was to discover the impact of a genre-based approach and learning motivation on the eighth-grade students' recount text writing achievement at State Junior High School 3 Air Kumbang. The research data were gathered through the distribution of questionnaires and the administration of writing tests, which were then quantitatively analyzed using SPSS. The study's findings demonstrated that (1 There was a substantial difference in creative accomplishment among students who were taught using a genre-based approach and those who were taught using a traditional approach; (2) There was a substantial difference in writing achievement between students with high learning enthusiasm and those who were taught using traditional approaches;(3) There was a substantial gap in writing achievement between students with high and low learning motivation who were taught using genre-based techniques and traditional methods.
The purpose of this study was to identify the values of character education in Disney's animated film "The Good Dinosaur." The study was a descriptive qualitative study in which data from the film's story, plot, and setting were gathered through close reading. The research procedure was watching, identifying, analyzing, and concluding, which can be repeated many times to ensure the data. The film served as the research's data source, and the study's object was character education values. In this study, eighteen-character education values were used, as stated in the Minister of National Education's decision (2010) and to be reinforced by Perpres number 87 in 2017. This study discovered thirteen-character education values: discipline, honesty, Tolerance, discipline, hard work, creativity, independence, curiosity, love homeland, appreciating achievement, friendly/communicative, love peace, sociality, and responsibility. It can be concluded that media such as movies can be used to teach children character values.
The goal of the research ( 1) is to identify the kinds of translation techniques that the translator applies in the translation of song lyrics; (2) how the consistency and accuracy of the quality are represented the details were song lyrics of the Aladdin film 2019 : www.subscene.com' s "A Whole New World." The other information was collected from the two raters evaluated questionnaires. In the film, there were 189 data for the total song lyrics. The translation techniques' outcome indicates that the translator implemented six techniques in song lyrics in the Aladdin film 2019: "A Whole New World" from www.Subscane.com, technical literal124numbers. "The whole new world." 33-number modulation, 17-number reduction, 9-number equivalent development, 3-number borrowing, general 3-number generalization Translation precision with 162 has been shown to lease precise translation with 23-number inaccurate 4number. The outcome was 146 acceptable numbers, less acceptable with 34 numbers and 9 inadmissible numbers. Seen from www.subscane.com translation quality it was valid, 162 numbers and 146 numbers were appropriate. One could infer that www.subscane.com had a high quality subtitle.
This study aims to determine: 1) the role of teachers in the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, 2) the determinants of the 2013 curriculum implementation, 3) the optimization of the role of teachers in the curriculum 2013. The results showed that the role of teachers at SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang in implementing the 2013 curriculum, namely teachers as implementers, adapters, curriculum developers, and curriculum researchers. The teacher is not only the implementer of the curriculum but also the alignment of the curriculum with the characteristics and needs of students and regional needs. The supporting factors in the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum at SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang include the availability of facilities and infrastructure such as syllabus, lesson plans, teacher handbooks, and student textbooks. Inhibiting factor, namely the unpreparedness of the 2013 Curriculum. This is because there are still many obstacles and obstacles. However, SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang itself is ready or not ready to implement the 2013 Curriculum in compliance with the orders of the Ministry of Education and Culture. Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum can optimize the role of teachers in SD Negeri 1 Rantau Sialang. This must be adapted to the material to be taught and the conditions of the students themselves when participating in the teaching and learning process.
This study aims to identify the principal's strategy to improve the teaching performance of teachers at Public Elementary School SDN (SDN 3) Makarti Jaya. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection tools used were documentation, interviews, observation and literature study. The data analysis technique was descriptive qualitative analysis technique which consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results of the research stated that 1) the teaching performance of SDN 3 Makarti Jaya teachers was in good condition based on the indicators of the ability to manage learning; positive attitude towards their professional duties; skillful in making props; skillful in using various models and methods; skillful in interacting with students; and competence; 2) The principal's strategy in improving the performance of SDN 3 Makarti Jaya teachers was carried out by 1) establishing a program to improve the quality of learning through the school's vision and mission; 2) improving the quality of teaching among all teachers by encouraging teachers to improve their teaching competences and abilities; and 3) Creating a conducive school climate among others foster commitment in implementing learning activities that is by fostering the willingness of all school members to improve quality in a sustainable manner.
