This study looks into the impact of the principal's democratic leadership style on teacher performance in junior high schools in Palopo City's Bara District. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research is ex-post facto. The population is all junior high school teachers in the Bara sub-district of Palopo city, totaling 134 people. Sampling was done by simple random sampling technique. The sample used was 39 teachers—data obtained through questionnaires and documentation. Furthermore, the research data were analyzed statistically using data processing, namely: Descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistical analysis. This study found that the democratic leadership style displayed by the principal has a strong influence and significance on the performance of teachers in SMP/MTs in Bara District, Palopo City. This is because the leadership style displayed by the principal through several indicators can provide a significant enough stimulant to the teacher so that teachers' work motivation can increase adequately, which impacts the achievement of educational and learning goals in schools. This study implies the importance of the leadership style displayed by the principal in building teacher motivation and commitment in schools to generate optimal teacher performance in schools.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Datuk Sulaiman Palopo Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020 melalui efektifitas model pembelajaran brainstorming. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Datuk Sulaiman Palopo Tahun Ajaran 2019/2020. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling, sehingga diperoleh kelas VIIID sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIIIE sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes berupa pre-test dan posttest. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen sebelum perlakuan yaitu 60,74; (2) rata-rata hasil belajar kelas kontrol sebelum perlakuan yaitu 64,73; (3) berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis sebelum perlakuan diperoleh ℎ ≤ atau (-2,09 ≤ 1,96); (4) rata-rata hasil belajar matematika kelas eksperimen setelah perlakuan yaitu 81,73; (5) rata-rata hasil belajar matematika kelas kontrol setelah perlakuan yaitu 58, (6) berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh ℎ > atau (7,39>1,96) artinya rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model brainstorming pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear dua variabel, lebih baik daripada rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa yang tidak diajar dengan model brainstorming pada pokok bahasan sistem persamaan linear dua variabel. Dengan demikian, dapat dinyatakan bahwa model Brainstorming efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMP Datok Sulaiman Palopo.
This research is a descriptive study that aimed to describe the quality of learning mathematics teacher at SMK Technology Tri Tunggal "45" based on the Model EKOP Makassar. Model EKOP is one Evaluation Model Learning Program, which not only assess the results (outputs) of learning, but also assesses the learning process carried out by the teacher. The instrument used in this study was a questionnaire given to teachers and students in mathematics teaching by the math teacher. The subjects were all teachers of mathematics in Technological Trinity "45". Analysis of the data used is the average of each component looks for good learning process and learning output, then compares to the quality standards that have been set. The results showed that (1) the quality of the learning process of mathematics teachers in the name of AMRN measured using Model EKOP is Good. (2) The quality of the learning process of mathematics teachers in the name JMT measured using Model EKOP is Good. (3) The output quality of learning mathematics teacher on behalf AMRN measured using Model EKOP is Good. (4) The output quality of learning mathematics teacher on behalf of JMT measured using Model EKOP is Moderate. (5) The quality of mathematics teacher learning program on behalf AMRN measured using Model EKOP are Good. (6) The quality of the learning program for mathematics teachers in the name JMT measured using Model EKOP is Moderate
Penelitian ini membahas tentang pengembangan buku saku digital berbasis STEM pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan buku saku digital berbasis STEM pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar kelas VIII yang memenuhi kriteria valid. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan berupa research and development (R&D). Adapun model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE yang terdiri dari 5 tahap pengembangan, yaitu : (1) Tahap analisis (analyze), (2) Tahap perencanaan (design), (3) Tahap pengembangan (development), (4) Tahap implementasi (implementation), (5) Tahap evaluasi (evaluation). Namun dalam penelitian pengembangan ini hanya menggunakan tiga tahapan yaitu : (1) Tahap analisis (analyze), (2) Tahap perencanaan (design), (3) Tahap pengembangan (development). Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Palopo dengan subjek penelitian adalah 3 ahli matematika khususnya ahli bidang materi matematika dan ahli bidang media matematika. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik angket dengan instrument berupa angket validasi ahli isi/materi, dan ahli media. Berdasarkan hasil analisis angket, diperoleh hasil bahwa buku saku digital berbasis STEM pada materi bangun ruang sisi datar memenuhi kriteria valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika, dilihat dari hasil penilaian tiga validator ahli isi/ materi (90%) dengan kategori sangat valid dan ahli media dan design (91%) dengan kategori sangat valid.Kata Kunci : Bangun ruang sisi datar; buku saku digital; STEM.
Calculus is a branch of mathematics that is applied to solve various problems in various fields of science such as engineering, physics, medicine, chemistry, economics, and various other sciences. However, most students assume that calculus is an elusive material. Therefore, it is necessary to have a study of the difficulties of students in solving calculus questions, given the very importance of this concept in taking the next course. This study is qualitative descriptive research that involved forty-two second semester students of the Mathematics Education Program of IAIN Palopo, and six of them are the interview subjects. In data collection, it used written tests and interviews. Furthermore, the data obtained are then analyzed through reduction, data presentation, and conclusions withdrawal. The findings show that the students get learning difficulties in reading by 52.38%, in writing by 66.67%, and in accounting by 57.14%. The factors causing these difficulties, namely students are not able to identify questions, difficulties in using integral symbols, difficulties in using proper techniques and formulas, difficulties in understanding the steps to solve partial integral problems, difficulties in calculations, difficulties in solving until the final stage of the integral process.
This study discusses the development of electronic mathematics student worksheets assisted by Adobe Flash CS6 at SMAN 2 Palopo. Electronic student worksheets in mathematics were developed with the help of Adobe Flash CS6 in the form of applications that can be accessed via Android or computers. The development of this learning application was carried out using research and development (R&D) research with the ADDIE model. The data used was based on data from the validation results from media expert validators and material expert validators obtained from the questionnaire instrument; data from the practical test obtained from the results of questionnaires distributed to students; and data obtained from the effectiveness test through the results of questionnaires and material test tests given to students. Based on the results of the data analysis, this learning application has met the requirements for being valid, practical, and effective so that it can be used in the learning process.
This study aims to determine the validity of procedures for developing game-based math students’ worksheets that are integrated with local wisdom. The type of research is called Research and Development (R&D) with reference to the ADDIE model with five development steps, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Burau with the research subjects of the seventh grade students. To find out the product validity, the researchers distributed a questionnaire to the material experts, media experts, and teachers. The results showed that the worksheet category was valid for use in learning, including the assessment of material experts (80.4%) in the valid category, media experts (91.3%) in the very valid category, and subject teachers (82.6%) in the valid category. The game-based worksheets can be implemented by utilizing them as supporting media for integer material and supporting the creation of a conducive atmosphere. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prosedur validitas pengembangan LKS matematika berbasis games method diintegrasikan dengan kearifan lokal. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengacu pada model ADDIE dengan lima langkah pengembangan yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 2 Burau dengan subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas VIII. Untuk mengetahui kelayakan produk, peneliti menyebar angket kepada ahli materi, ahli media, dan guru mata pelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKS termasuk kategori valid untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran dilihat dari penilaian ahli materi (80.4%) dengan kategori valid, ahli media (91.3%) kategori sangat valid, guru mata pelajaran (82.6%) kategori valid. LKS berbasis games method dapat diimplementasikan dengan dimanfaatkan sebagai media pendukung pada materi bilangan bulat dan mendukung terciptanya suasana kondusif.
Sejumlah permasalahan dalam Sistem Persamaan Linear Dua Variabel (SPLDV), mendorong para peneliti melakukan kajian yang beragam. Namun, masih sedikit peneliti yang mengintegrasikan antara model pembelajaran dengan materi tersebut. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana peningkatan pengetahuan SPLDV siswa melalaui pembelajaran kooperatif. Kami melakukan Penelitian tindakan kelas bersama dengan guru di kelas atau dilokasi penelitian dengan melibatkan siswa di tingkat menengah. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Kami menggunakan analisa kuantitatif dan kualitatif untuk mendeskripsikan temuan. Dari hasil tersebut, kami menemukan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan siswa tentang SPLDV melalui model kooperatif. Lebih lanjut, peningkatan ini berdampak pada peningkatan aktivitas guru dan siswa dalam kelas serta meminimalkan kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah SPLD
