Educational leadership is measured through leadership styles, including authoritarian, democratic, and transformational. The authoritarian leadership style emphasizes obedience, is democratic, involves participation, and is transformational to create positive change. Another important factor influencing teacher effectiveness is the work environment. This study aims to see the influence of leadership styles, specifically autocratic leadership, democratic leadership, and transformational leadership, on teachers’ performance through the work environment as an intermediate variable. The research method used is a quantitative descriptive method with a sampling technique using the Slovin formula available on the site (https: //www.statology.org/slovins-formula-calcator/,nd), and a sample of 400 teachers from public and private colleges in Batam city. The data collection technique used in this study is a questionnaire via Google Form and a data analysis technique using the SEM method. Analyze the relationship between leadership (authoritarian, democratic, and transformational), work environment, and teacher performance in public and private high schools in Batam City. The results show that democratic and transformational leadership have a positive and significant influence on the work environment and teacher performance. Meanwhile, authoritarian leaders do not have significant influence. The results of this research reflect the importance of a democratic and transformational leadership approach in improving the work environment and Enhancing teachers’ effectiveness during the Education 4.0 era. Adaptation is needed in education and school leadership to be relevant to the demands of an era characterized by high technology and rapid changes in the world of work.

This study aims to explore the role of female madrasah principals in education management, especially in the Ibtidaiyah madrasah environment. Qualitative research methods were conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation analysis in 13 districts of South Kalimantan province. The research focused on women's leadership roles in leveraging resources, building collaboration with the community, planning the curriculum, and utilizing technology in learning management. The results show that female madrasah principals play a key role in leveraging madrasah resources, building collaboration with the community, planning a responsive curriculum, and utilizing technology to improve learning. They are also active in developing an inclusive work culture, implementing effective supervision strategies, and creating open communication and active engagement within the madrasah environment. The findings provide an overview of the importance of women's leadership roles in managing education, confirming their contribution to creating an inclusive, innovative, and sustainable learning environment.

This study investigated the level of effective ethical leadership practices of primary school heads from the perspective of teachers serving in Karachi schools. It also compared the effective ethical leadership practiced by primary school head from the perspective of teachers serving in Karachi schools in terms of their various demographics including gender, academic qualification, professional qualification, and locality of their schools. Using a quantitative exploratory method, it targeted the primary schools in each district of Karachi to approach the teachers currently serving in the respective primary schools. The findings of the study revealed that teachers perceive the effective ethical leadership practiced by primary school heads. However, this perception of teachers changed frequently based on their different demographic characteristics that led the study to infer a potential biasness displayed by the primary school heads while practicing their leadership. The study recommends awareness sessions and training programs for primary school heads to avoid their potential biasness.
