The anatomical and histological features of the genital tract of a six-year-old Haryana heifer, which had failed to show oestrus, are described. The heifer had a 60 XY karyotype in the leucocyte culture. The external genital organs were absent and a small opening at the ventral perineal border acted as the external urogenital opening. The ovaries were completely hypoplastic and a uterus didelphys opened into a single cervix. No male sex organs or their rudiment were observed.
Background: Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA) through radial route is known to have a steep learning curve. The impact of this results in hesitation of performing PTCA through radial route by conventional femoral access operators.
Introduction: It has been found in various studies that ABO blood groups are associated with various diseases such as duodenal ulcer, gastric cancer, diabetes mellitus, urinary tract infection, Hypertension and venous thrombosis. Since hypertension is multifactorial, the ABO antigens may indirectly influence arterial pressure. Objectives were to know the distribution of blood groups among the subjects and to assess the association between ABO blood groups and Hypertension Material and Methods: A cross sectional study was conducted among the 1st year medical students in the department of Physiology of Rohilkhand Medical College And Hospital, Bareilly for the period of November 2016 to January 2017. A total of 150 undergraduate students were included in the study by using convenient sampling technique and after taking informed consent. Blood grouping was carried out with the standard antisera. The blood pressure was recorded using mercury sphygmo-manometer both by palpatory and auscultatory methods.
Results:The frequency of various blood groups are O-39%, B-37%, A-17%, AB-7%. There was no significant difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure of different blood groups.
Conclusion:Blood group O is the most common blood group in our study. There was no statistically significant association between ABO Blood groups and Hypertension.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
