This research aimed at developing ICT-based learning media for independent learning. The subjects of the research were Mechanical Engineering students of Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. By adopting Borg & Gall’s research and development model, this research was done in four stages, namely: (1) identification stage; (2) design and development stage; (3) production stage; and (4) evaluation stage. Questionnaires were the instrument used for data collection techniques, and the descriptive quantitative method was the data analysis technique. The results of the development of ICT-based learning media earned positive appraisals on the ease of use aspect with a percentage of 50%, and the display aspect with a percentage of 62.50%. In conclusion, ICT-based learning media that was developed on several vocational materials can be used as a learning media for independent learning.
The era of the Industrial revolution 4.0 collaborates on cyber technology and automation technology. Rapid changes due to the 4.0 industrial revolution, require anticipatory steps by the government through increasing the quality of education. Preparing a great generation who has competencies as capital to anticipate the 4.0 industrial revolution, the 21st-century learning education. One of the competencies expected for 21st-century learning is digital literacy skills. Therefore, this study aims to determine the ability of prospective teachers prepared by the Mechanical Engineering Vocational Study Program, Sarjanawiyata University. The population of prospective teachers is students who have implemented teaching practices in schools in the 2019/2020 school year. Quantitative research with descriptive method approach. Data analysis with the percentage of students who use and integrate Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in learning during practical field experience (PPL). The results obtained conclude that digital literacy skills need to be improved, because students in their learning rarely (50%) use and integrate ICT in learning. Because with digital literacy skills students can design learning that facilitates students to think critically, creatively, and innovatively.
The era of industry 4.0 requires Indonesia's quality human resources superior, but there are a big problem that many students have low of scientific literacy. Efforts to instill scientific literacy can help students develop an informed conception of the nature of science (NOS) by using a progressive and authentic learning inquiry environment. This research investigate about how is the blog with NOS within inquiry laboratory model that is eligible to develop scientific literacy in science learning of junior high school and the effectiveness of blog with NOS within inquiry laboratory model for developing scientific inquiry. This research is done by 4D Model in Research and Development. The Subject is expert in media and science content, and 68 students of SMP N 9 Yogyakarta. The design of playing field testing is quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-postest control group design. The research instruments are the questionnaire of product validation and the scientific literacy test. The data analyze with descriptive qualitative for the validation result and t-test for the scientific literacy test results. The results show that the blogs that produced in this research is eligible as learning media in NOS within inquiry laboratory model. There is a significant difference scientific literacy between before and after learning with and without using blog in NOS within inquiry laboratory model
Gadgets or smartphones have become primary needs for everyone, especially students and teachers during online learning. These devices provide helps in searching for unlimited learning resources. However, there are only few which provide vocational learning resources. As a solution to this problem, it is important to study and develop mobile application-based media to improve students’ competence. The product was developed using the ADDIE model and was tested on students and teachers at a vocational school in Yogyakarta. The results indicate that Android-based mobile media is very feasible. The empirical testing result also shows that the developed product can promote 21st century’s competence.
