This study aims to investigate the challenges literature teachers in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) face and the factors underlying the challenges while teaching literature. This paper is based on a questionnaire which consists of twenty items; 17 items are statements that require the participants’ responses on a five-point scale and the other three items are open-answer questions about literature in general. The study implemented a mixed approach: a quantitative approach to analyse the responses of the participants to the 17 on a five-point scale and a qualitative approach to analyse the responses to the remaining three open-answer questions. The results of the study showed that method of teaching is the most challenging component of literature teaching. The material taught is the second highest contributing factor to literature teaching challenges in KRI. Then, the external factors and the students are medium challenges respectively. Teachers are the least contributing factors in this regard. Analysis of the open-answer questions revealed that teaching literature is rewarding intellectually, philosophically, aesthetically and socially. It also exposed the concerns of a few respondents on how a literature class should be if they are given a choice to be in one.
A B S T R A C TAlthough the benefits of blended learning have been well documented in educational research, relatively few studies have examined blended mobilities in education in Kurdistan region government and in Iraq. This study discusses a blended mobility approach for a teacher training program designed for in-service English language teachers (ELT) and investigates its effectiveness by comparing the latest participation of the University of Human Development for computer science and proposing the same program for training English for lecturers and students. The research involved proposes new mobility program for teaching and learning English language and using their language skills in an ongoing business project using several software for communication and management of their projects. Results will show the framework for new blended learning and blended mobilities of many different English language teaching (ELT) aspects.
Islamic thought, through the writings of its thinkers, or the references that have contained in psychological opinions and views, including hints about the treatment of psychological diseases. The study shed light on the features of its approach and gives students follow-up perceptions of the soul and its health, including advice and instructions, so that one enjoys health and psychological comfort. But the lack of interest in extracting psychological treasures from the heart of those who wrote them down and made them remain in the space of neglect and covered by the dust of indifference, which needed to raise the foundation from them again, and dress them in the suit of tracking and investigation, their pain boasts the most beautiful pomp of study, explanation and comparison with other educational opinions and psychology in the present tense. Therefore, taking care of these treasures, and presenting them to those who work in this field, as a package of advice and diagnosing medication for psychological problems, takes great importance, because it serves the heritage and preserves its servants, by guiding them and giving them doses of hope and longing in their souls, so that they can benefit from it in their life and learning. In all this, the researcher used the methodological analysis and description, in his extrapolation of what was mentioned in this field, an analysis to benefit from those treasures, and to confirm the strategies contained within them that can be referred to if needed. Nevertheless, Islamic thought has acknowledged psychological problems and their diseases, talked about them, and described the treatment for their afflicted, and indicating their danger to the soul and body, and warned against their consequences that lead to pessimism, laziness and discouragement, which hinders his life, and he cannot perform the God’s rights over him, and make his days hard, melancholy, full of heaviness, despair and confusion.
