INTRODUCCIÓNEn este trabajo se estudió la efectividad de un modelo didáctico analógico para el aprendizaje de los conceptos de masa, peso y gravedad. Numerosos autores presentan las investigaciones que han realizado sobre las dificultades de los estudiantes respecto de la conceptualización de éstos (Gunstone y White, 1981;Clement, 1982;Watts, 1982;Noce, Toro Santucci y Vicentini, 1986;Mayer, 1987;Berg y Brouwer, 1991;Palmer, 2001;Camino y Martínez, 2005). La instrucción tradicional que se brinda en mecánica al abordar dichos conceptos no los toma con toda la consideración que se debería tener. Esta falta de una integración entre ellos, fundamentalmente debida a la naturaleza de la gravedad, dificulta que los cursos Ciencia-Eureka.

El estudio de la energía y sus transformaciones en el nivel educativo medio se circunscribe en general a aspectos relacionados con su conservación y transferencia. La degradación de la energía recibe escasa atención y el concepto de entropía es considerado misterioso y difícil de comprender. Realizamos una investigación descriptiva, con la hipótesis de que se facilitará la compresión de los conceptos si complementamos la instrucción con figuras del lenguaje de ciencia ficción, que son básicamente analógicas. Encontramos en dos cuentos de "buena" ciencia ficción la posibilidad de abordar el estudio de la termodinámica en dos niveles explicativos, el fenomenológico y el de los aspectos microscópicos y estadísticos de la materia. Comprobamos su función como modelo didáctico analógico ya que abstrae los conceptos y relaciones mediante una situación inteligible para el estudiante y comparte un isomorfismo estructural con el modelo teórico.

INTRODUCCIÓNLas ciencias naturales se constituyen en sistemas formales interpretados. Esto significa que dentro de un cuerpo de enunciados, que conforman los denominados términos teóricos, éstos adquieren un contenido al ser asociados indirectamente a observables de la realidad externa, o en otras palabras son interpretados mediante operadores en un modelo que pretende ser la representación mental (teórica) de esa misma realidad (De la Torre, 1992; Adúriz Bravo y Galagosky, 1997). Se puede decir, entonces, que cada teoría posee modelos conexos, que articulan las representaciones que están asociadas con ella.De esta manera, se puede interpretar que un modelo científico es la mediación entre el sistema formal teórico y su interpretación (Adúriz Bravo, 1999). De esta forma, los modelos al igual que los operadores lógicos y matemáticos de una teoría, obran como operadores representacionales mentales de la realidad que encierra la teoría.
El abordar temas de termodinámica en el nivel medio de enseñanza trae aparejado una problemática, que es el análisis del comportamiento estadístico que debe otorgársele a la agitación térmica de la materia.En el movimiento Browniano es un error el pensar que a causa de la aparente irregularidad el análisis debe quedar fuera de una descripción física posible. En contrapartida, este hecho debe permitir acceder a la introducción del alumno en la necesidad de un estudio estadístico, es decir en el estudio de una mecánica estadística.En este trabajo, presentamos la utilización del modelo didáctico analógico que George Gamow tituló “el paseo del borrachín” para abordar el estudio del movimiento Browniano. Esta analogía nos permitió elaborar una propuesta de actividad experimental a ser desarrollada por alumnos de segundo año Polimodal, con el objetivo de acceder a la problemática estadística planteada.
