Trauma is one of the biggest causes of death in the world. Thousands of people died from trauma each years. Many trauma occur in developing countries or countries with low incomes. The survey carried out showed 90% of trauma occur in developing countries. Outcome head injury patients determined from the initial condition when the patient entered in the ER (Emergency Room). Analysis of the patient's condition will determine the appropriate nursing actions that affect patient outcome. The purpose of this study was to analyze factors associated with outcome head injury patients in ER Prof. Dr. Margono Soekardjo Purwokerto Hospital. This study is a prospective with observational analytic design. The sample in this study amounted to 56 people. The results of Spearman and coefficient contingency indicates that there is a relationship between initial GCS score (p = 0.000) and systolic blood pressure (p = 0.000)with a outcomes of head injury patient. There is no correlation between age (p = 0.478)respiratory rate (p = 0.956) and pulse (.318) with a outcomes of head injury patient. Analysis of logistic regression shows that systolic blood pressure (RR = 6.768) is the dominant factor associated with outcomes of head injury patient. Therefore, the need to improve the management hemodynamic of the patient's, especially blood pressure to prevent bad outcomes. Keywords: outcome, head injury, Emergency Room
Kata kunci: faktor risiko, aktifitas fisik, tekanan darah, stres, stroke THE RISK FACTORS THAT INFLUENCE THE INCIDENCE OF STROKE ABSTRACT Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease in which the occurrence of brain function disorders associated with vascular disease that supplies blood to the brain. A quarter of all stroke events are strokes. Factors affecting stroke include coffee drinking habits, smoking behavior, lack of physical activity, not exercising routine blood pressure control, and stress. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors that influence the incidence of stroke in PKU Muhammadiyah Sruweng Hospital. This study uses a correlational method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in this study was 38 patients taken by simple random sampling. The instrument was in the form of a questionnaire sheet. Data were analyzed using descriptive and correlative analysis using chi square test. The results showed there was no effect of the habit of drinking coffee and smoking with the incidence of stroke. There is an influence of physical activity, routine blood pressure control, and stress with the incidence of stroke. Further research can be developed by conducting intervention studies such as providing counseling related to how to increase physical activity, and reduce stress and regular medication.
The incidence of disability as outcomes in head injury patients reaches 5.3 million people per year. Disability occurring is 1 year after injury. Glasgow Outcome Scale or GOS is a scoring or instrument used to assess patients ranging from 1 to 12 months after head injury. GOS was first created in 1975 by Bryan Jennett and Michael Bond, who have over 40,000 citations and is the most widely cited article in research on head injuries. GOS is also further developed into GOS-E or Glasgow Outcome Scale - Extended and GODS or Glasgow Outcome Discharge Scale. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of validity and reliability of GOS in assessing the condition of head injury patients. This study was a descriptive observation of 112 head injury patients measured using GOS for 6 months post injury. The result of the research showed that the characteristics of respondents with the average age of 18-40 years were 58.9% productive), male was 75.8%, the last level of senior high school was 35.7%, farmers, traders and laborers were 39.2% of 65.1% and GCS 3-8 value of 49.1%. The level of validity with the value of count> 0.195 with 95% CI and reliability is very high with correlation coefficient value> 0.8. Therefore, GOS is a scoring that can be used to assess the outcome of head injury patients by maintaining good clinical and nursing care at home or rehabilitation phase well.Key word : Glasgow Outcome Scale, Head Injury, Reliability, Validity
The learning process is very important to distribute or transfer the knowledge of the teachers or lecturers to students. The application requires a sample or samples of nursing actions, for example the theory that describes the treatment of wounds it will be understood when it is accompanied by a video that is directly applicable wound care performed by nurses to patients (real and the method can play a role). So there needs to be a solution or alternative to solve the problem.Method of product design; instructional media, which produces video instructional media. Video media that has been created contains ulcer wound care diabetes mellitus duration of 25 minutes 37 seconds. Video content on the reviews wound ulcer diabetes mellitus, causes, the occurrence of injury, investigation and physical examination needs to be done to determine the diagnosis or problem.
