This paper examines the health operations flexibility dimensions in the United Arab Emirate in the healthcare sector by employing Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approaches. The study also attempts to determine the numbers for the operational flexibility dimensions which will help the researchers in future find healthcare operational flexibility dimensions valid and reliable. A model consisting of two constructs of operations flexibility structures: external flexibility and internal robustness is examined to measure health operations flexibility elements in service sectors. Respondents are the health leaders (managers, middle manager, top manager and others) who were working in health service sectors in the United Arab Emirate. The underlying constructs of operations flexibility are empirically verified and validated through Reliability Analysis Procedure, Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), First and Second Confirmatory Factor Analysis, and Construct Validity Procedures, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed to test the model, drawing on a sample of 250. The findings revealed that the model of the UAE health service sector consists of two latent's operations flexibility dimensions namely external flexibility and internal robustness, each dimension consisting of four items. Further research should be considered to validate these findings in the other firms. The two dimensions of health operations flexibility represent a valid instrument to measure the operations flexibility in the services sector in the United Arab Emirate. This research is important for one to understand the main topics of health operations flexibility in the health services sector.
Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui peluang, tantangan, dan solusi untuk Sumber Daya Manusia(SDM) pelabuhan nasional di Indonesia dalam menghadapi Revolusi Industri 4.0 dan mengembangkan pendidikan yang sudah ada. Permasalahan dan tantangan yang dihadapi oleh masyarakat kepelabuhanan terletak pada penempatan sumber daya manusia, pembaruan aplikasi teknologi di bidang pelayaran, dan daya saing industri pelayaran. Permasalahan terbesarnya adalah ego sektoral yang masih tinggi, misalnya biaya logistik yang mahal di Indonesia. Adapun, tantangan terbesarnya adalah mengolaborasi pelayanan agar dapat diintegrasikan dan menghilangkan ego sektoral tersebut. Pengembangan teknologi informasi yang menjadi penggerak ekonomi dunia belum sepenuhnya dapat disusul dengan pendidikan saat ini. Penelitian ini merupakan studi literatur yang fokus pada hasil wawancara mendalam (in-depth interviews) dengan beberapa narasumber. Hasil penelitian yang berkaitan dengan pelabuhan cerdas (smart port) menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan automasi dan semi-automasi terkait dengan berkembangnya digitalisasi akan menjadi suatu acuan di dalam pelayanan pelabuhan secara nasional. Selain itu, diperlukan pendidikan yang menghasilkan sumber daya manusia dengan kekhasan maritim melalui pendalaman lebih ilmiah, khususnya pada jurusan Nautika, Teknika, dan Tatalaksana, serta pelatihan bersertifikat tingkat diploma. Kata Kunci: pendidikan; peluang; revolusi industri; pelabuhan cerdas; sumber daya manusia; tantangan AbstractOpportunities and Challenges for Human Resources in Organizing National Ports in Indonesia: This research was designed to assess the opportunities and challenges for human resources of national ports in Indonesia in the industrial revolution 4.0, provide relevant solutions, and evaluate and improve existing education. The problem and challenges faced by the port society lie in human resources distribution, connectivity, update on technological applications in shipping, and the competitiveness of the shipping industry. In terms of human resources, experts, especially in the port sector, seem to be limited in number. Sectoral egotism that, for example, leads to expensive logistics costs, has been reported as the greatest problem, and, accordingly, an integrated collaboration on service provision in this atmosphere poses a significant challenge to human resources in national ports. Moreover, today’s education has not been able to catch up with the advancement of Information Technology, which is the engine of the world economy. This research employed a literature study focuing on the results of in-depth interviews with several informants. The results showed that, in the context of smart ports, automated and semi-automated systems as a result of digitalization would most likely become a reference in port services nationally. An education that produces human resources with maritime specialties through in-depth scientific analyses (especially in Nautical, Technical, and Management majors) and certified training at the diploma level is highly required. This study aims to analyze the improvement of the operational performance of Indonesia’s Soekarno-Hatta Airport train through service quality which is mediated by train passenger loyalty and passenger satisfaction. The main problems in this study are the use of the same railway for long-distance train, airport train, and commuter Line train, the limited use of airport railway with four schedules, the headway which becomes 30 minutes since the number of travels becomes 82 trips, and the tariff being applied now is considered as burdening the passengers. The research method uses a quantitative analysis approach with the technique of Structural Equation Modeling-Lisrel. Data collection is done through observation and questionnaire distribution. The respondents are 306 passengers of trains heading for Soekarno-Hatta Airport. The benefit of this study for the domestic railway company is that by improving service quality, passenger loyalty and satisfaction, it will improve the operational performance of airport trains. The result of this research indicates the significant influence of service quality variable on passenger loyalty through passenger satisfaction, the significant influence of service quality variable on operational performance through passenger satisfaction and passenger loyalty as well as the significant influence of passenger satisfaction variable on operational performance through passenger loyalty.
ABSTRAKTujuan penelitian adalah mengidentifikasi masalah yang terdapat pada sistem infomasi manajemen pelabuhan, menganalisis apa yang perlu dikelola dalam sistem informasi manajemen pelabuhan, memberikan rekomendasi atas pengelolaan sistem informasi manajemen. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan analisis kualitatif, dimana manajemen pelabuhan masih kurang memuaskan, oleh karena itu untuk mengelola pelayanan pelabuhan memerlukan sistem informasi manajemen berbasis aplikasi teknologi yang saat ini sedang dikembangkan yaitu Inaportnet, pada tahap awal aplikasi teknologi ini digunakan untuk pelabuhan yang sudah diusahakan. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah dengan adanya aplikasi sistem informasi berbasis teknologi diharapkan kinerja manajemen pelabuhan dapat semakin meningkat dan diharapkan Pemerintah melakukan pembinaan, pengawasan dan melakukan penegakan hukum terhadap stakeholder di pelabuhan yang melanggar aturan.Kata kunci : sistem informasi manajemen pelabuhan, aplikasi informasi teknologi pelabuhan, manajemen pelabuhan cerdas (smart)
This research aims to know and analyze the contribution of enterprise risk management and business strategy to the competitive advantage and company performance of shipping companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The company performance and competitive advantage of shipping companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange fluctuate and are decreasing. The enterprise risk which is not well-managed can result in a decrease in competitive advantage and company performance. The shipping companies having no competitive advantage will have poor performance and lose in the competition with similar companies. This research uses Path Analysis with the analysis tool of Partial Least Square SmartPLS3 and its path coefficient significance test using a t-test. The total number of samples is 65 consisting of 13 companies with five years of observation taken using the purposive sampling technique. The result of this research states that shipping companies in Indonesia can increase their company performance through enterprise risk management. So, the companies must practice enterprise risk management properly where the aspect of risk management is integrated into the company strategy. Shipping companies in Indonesia can also increase their company performance through competitive advantage so that they can increase their revenue. Shipping companies can increase their company performance through business strategy, so they must implement a business strategy.
This study aims to evaluate supply chain management on fuel oil to optimize improvement strategies that can be applied to ConocoPhillips companies in Indonesia. Effective and efficient supply chain management is one of the goals to achieve the company's business stability in the fuel oil supply chain. Fuel oil is a very complex basic need for companies in carrying out industrial and transportation activities. The research method is measuring and evaluating company performance through a combination of the Supply Chain Operation Reference (SCOR) model and the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Research respondents through interviews with four informants from the company ConocoPhilips. Based on the SCOR Version 11.0 model, in this study the SCOR measurement is divided into four perspectives, namely Plan, Source, Deliver and Return. Furthermore, through the measurement of Key Performance Indicators, it is classified using five supply chain dimensions, namely reliability, responsiveness, agility, costs, and assets. The research resulted in the final value of supply chain performance of 74,992 which can be categorized as a moderate or intermediate level, this implies that the existence of an assessment system or measurement of supply chain performance on an ongoing basis can be used as a consideration in determining the optimal strategy. Research findings, improvements, and strategies are needed, especially in the perspective of delivering which has the lowest score.
This study aims to analyze the contribution of Green Manufacturing and Green Distribution on improving the performance of Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) through Reverse Logistics. The development of industry and increasing consumer concern for the environment as well as issues regarding the concept of an environmentally sound industry have forced industries to adjust in line with the GSCM concept. To make the program a success, Green Manufacturing, Green Distribution, and Reverse Logistics are assumed to be supporting the implementation process. This study uses quantitative methods, with the number of samples taken randomly as many as 70 people. The analysis was carried out using the Path Analysis method. Hypothesis testing was carried out in two stages, namely Structural Model-1 and Structural Model-2 testing to obtain each path coefficient number. The results of the study conclude that there is the contribution of Green Manufacturing, Green Distribution, and Reverse Logistics on the success of GSM implementation so that companies must always pay attention to the facilities and related policies to improve the performance of those variables.
