This study discusses how Pyisical Education Teachers Educator (PETE) adopt Physical Literacy (PL). Knowledge is the foundation of PL to know what to do and when is the right time to do it. The research has a goal, so that PETE understands the definition of PL. This research study contains 3 stages, the first is determining the objectives of the PL, the second is curriculum planning and the third is the learning approach. The method used is a literature review of several opinions about PL in Physical Education (PE). The national PE curriculum is structured and developed to achieve national education goals that are adapted to current conditions and future needs in order to live regularly and actively, through Physical Activity (PA). For this reason, efforts should be made to create a healthy lifestyle and maintain physical fitness (PF). PL is a potential that can be optimally developed for children from an early age. The role of PE is very important in the formation of PL in children, where cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects are in the goal of PE which can provide motivation, confidence and enthusiasm to continue doing PA.
The study purpose was to prove the effectiveness of a low-impact aerobic dance exercise video on cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and concentration in women with a sedentary lifestyle. Materials and methods. This study used the Pre-Experimental method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. Total of 18 females aged 18–20 y.o., body mass index (BMI) 19 kg/m2 – 24 kg/m2, normal systolic and diastolic blood pressure, normal resting heart rate, oxygen saturation (SpO2) 96% – 100% participated in the research. Low-impact aerobic dance exercise was done using video for 30 minutes/exercise session with an intensity of 75% – 85% HRmax with a frequency of 3 times/week for 6 weeks. Measurement of cardiovascular endurance was done using the Multi-Stage 20-m Shuttle Run Fitness Test, flexibility was measured with the Sit and Reach Test, and concentration was meassured with the Grid Concentration Test. The statistical analysis technique used the Paired Sample T-Test with a significance level of 5%. Results. The results showed the average cardiovascular endurance of the pretest vs. posttest (28.13 ± 4.80 vs. 30.52 ± 0.88 mL/kg/min (p ≤ 0.001)), mean flexibility of pretest vs. posttest (17.79 ± 4.72 vs. 18.75 ± 5.02 cm (p ≤ 0.001)), mean concentration of pretest vs. posttest (7.39 ± 2.38 vs. 9.11 ± 2.45 score (p ≤ 0.001)). Conclusions. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that a low-impact aerobic exercise dance video performed with a frequency of 3 times/week for 6 weeks increased cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, and concentration in adolescent girls with a sedentary lifestyle.
Physical education is one of the subjects in elementary schools that aims to develop students' physical and emotional abilities. The physical education learning model developed to increase students' interest in practicing while learning. Many local cultures in South Sulawesi can be integrated into physical education learning. Researchers develop local game Hadang or foreigners in learning physical education. This study reviews physical education learning trials based on local culture involving 36 elementary school students. The researcher uses four physical growth variables that measure the learning model's success: agility, speed, reflexes, and cohesiveness. The study results indicate that as local culture, the game can be used as a model of physical education learning and increase students' physical growth.
The appropriate genetic potential of an athlete or prospective athlete determines the development of their future performance and achievement and reduces the risk of pathological conditions such as overtraining. This study aimed to determine the genotype variation thought to play a role in differences in exercise results and explosive power performance, namely the ACE gene. The research method used a cross-sectional design to describe the relationship between a factor and its effects on how genetic mutation variations play a role in an athlete's physical performance by involving 54 male and female badminton athletes with an average age of 18 years. The study was conducted by analysing the development of badminton skills with the same exercise routine, then being given an explosive power test in the form of a vertical jump through the Lewis nomogram assessment. The initial test was in the first month, and the second test was after six months. The results showed significant differences between the groups with variation II, ID and DD genotypes of the ACE gene. The DD genotype group showed better training adaptation in the explosive power test than genotype II and ID with a significant value (P<0.05). This study concludes that athletes with genotype DD variations adapt better to explosive power training than athletes with genotype II and ID. Athletes with genetic mutations II and ID in the ACE gene are more suitable for badminton sports requiring complex movement abilities and skills, which require good anaerobic and aerobic abilities.
The purpose of this research and development is to produce an aerobic exercise training model for students of the Faculty of Sports Sciences (FIK) of Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM), primarily for students in the Field Teaching Program (PPL) who must have skills in the field of sports. This is considered necessary as they can deal with students and teachers in field teaching practice schools. It will be difficult if students do not have skills in the field of sports, i.e., gymnastics. Therefore, gymnastic skills are very necessary for the provision of PPL. This is related to the programs carried out by schools every Friday for a joint exercise. During joint gymnastics, PPL students from FIK must lead joint gymnastics. Ideally, PPL FIK students must be able to lead joint gymnastics, both for package gymnastics (for example Physical Health Gymnastics and Healthy Heart Gymnastics) and aerobic exercise in accordance with the rules of sports physiology. This research is the R & D model, which aims to assist the students by seeing a great interest of each school to do aerobic exercise together every Friday. The results of the development of this research are the creation of several types of movements that are in accordance with the characteristics of sports physiology, ranging from heating, core and cooling motions.
