ÖzetThe rapid development of IT (Information Technologies) in today's world has caused the effects of globalization to radically change the perceptions in the tourism sector. From the 80's until today, Turkey has covered a very important distance in the field of tourism. At this time of period, the traditional structure of tourism has undergone a complete change and the necessity of information technology has been understood and the sector has redesigned itself in the context of technology. Turkey as a destination is a tourism country with different tourism advantages. Factors such as being the biggest open air museum in the world, being hosted by many civilizations, being in the Mediterranean climate zone, geopolitical position, diversity of tourism investments, diversity of tourism, and educated human power are the main features that make Turkey attractive in the sense of destination. As a micro-destination, Konya has become a destination which is subject to curiosity of both domestic and foreign tourists, and has rises in the world day by day about both health tourism and faith tourism. With an integrative approach, information technology is crucial for the tourism sector and issues such as the simplification of the sector in terms of workload, to what extend it affects the productivity of tourism enterprises in a positive way; the transparency of information and how well it manages the information will be addressed in this study. Günümüz Dünya'sında bilgi teknolojinin, baş döndüren bir hızla gelişmesi, küreselleşmenin etkileri, turizm sektöründeki anlayışların kökten değişmesine neden olmuştur. Türkiye'de turizm alanında 80'li yıllardan günümüze kadar çok önemli bir mesafe kaydedilmiştir. Bu zaman diliminde turizm alanındaki geleneksel yapı tümüyle değişime uğrayarak bilgi teknolojilerin gerekliliği anlaşılarak, sektör kendini teknoloji bağlamında yeniden dizayn etmiştir. Türkiye destinasyon olarak farklı turizm avantajlarına sahip bir turizm ülkesidir. Dünya'nın en büyük açık hava müzesi oluşu, birçok medeniyete ev sahipliği yapmış olması, Akdeniz iklim kuşağında olması, jeopolitik konumu, turizm yatırımların çeşitliği, turizm çeşitliliği, yetişmiş insan gücü, turizm bölgelerindeki yerel halkın turizmi benimsemiş olmaları gibi faktörler Türkiye'yi destinasyon anlamında çekici kılan temel özelliklerdir. Mikro destinasyon olarak Konya, hem sağlık turizminde, hem inanç turizminde gün geçtikçe yıldızı parlayan yerli ve yabancı turistler tarafından merak edilen bir destinasyon haline gelmiştir. Bütüncül yaklaşımla bilgi teknolojileri turizm sektörü için son derece önemli ve sektörü iş yükü anlamında basitleştirmesi, turizm işletmelerinin verimliliğini hangi ölçüde olumlu yönde etkilediği, şeffaf oluşu ve bilgiyi ne derece ve nasıl yönettiği gibi konular bu çalışmamızda ele alınacaktır.
The purpose of this study is to make an analysis on human resources of Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in terms of their needs and expectations. The research sample involves 64 managements registered in Seydisehir Chamber of Commerce, one of the largest districts in Konya, which is also one of the most important industrial centers in Turkey. The study investigates the interest areas expected by human resources in terms of vocational skills in SMEs, the characteristics that human resources should have, the characteristics that they have difficulty in finding and vocational groups they are also unable to find. The questionnaires are used as a means of data collection and no sector difference is made when applying them to the SMEs in Seydisehir. The list of SMEs registered in Seydisehir Chamber of Commerce and their contact information are obtained before reaching each of these managements. The data obtained from the questionnaires are tested via using SPSS program. Measures of central tendency are used in these evaluations. The findings gathered from this study are expected to direct the studies to be made in terms of human resources need and expectations of SMEs, the other shareholders in the region and Seydisehir Chamber of Commerce, to be a guide for settlement areas with a large hinterland like Seydisehir and to contribute to the academicians working in this area.
