This study aims to determine to what extent the education system of Islamic boarding schools (known as Pondok Pesantren) is related to the model of interpersonal communication and pesantren students (known as santri) readiness to learn can contribute to their success while taking the level in higher education. The authors used the quantitative method as the research approach. This research was conducted at the Pondok Pesantren "Anwarul Huda" Karang Basuki, Malang. To solve the problems in this study, two statistical analysis techniques were used, namely descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicated that first, most of the santri studying at higher educational institutions (universities) had poor interpersonal communication, quite good learning readiness, and good learning outcomes. Second, the santri’s interpersonal communication model and learning readiness significantly contribute to university learning outcomes achievement by 7.6% and other factors that influence the rest. This analysis indicates that santri’s interpersonal communication and learning readiness have not been optimally carried out in Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, every educator should always provide directions to generate and develop santri’s interpersonal communication model and learning readiness to maximize their learning outcomes in higher education.
Every PendahuluanManusia pada dasarnya memiliki kebutuhan untuk hidup bahagia dimanapun ia berada. Kebahagiaan itu akan sulit untuk dicapai manakala manusia tidak memiliki ilmu. Dalam dunia pendidikan, siswa adalah manusia yang berusaha untuk menuntut ilmu demi masa depannya. Siswa memerlukan layanan pembelajaran yang bermutu. Siswa akan sangat terbantu manakala diberikan layanan sebaik-baiknya untuk memudahkannya dalam meraih ilmu yang dicita-citakan. Oleh karena itulah, siswa membutuhkan banyak bantuan dari orang lain terutama dari seluruh civitas akademika termasuk guru dan tenaga administrasi. The existence of a good quality institution is required to afford good quality and professional human resources (HR) services. This need will not be achieved unless through a good quality educational institution. It is expected that the result of a good quality education process will be able to produce competitive human resources nationally, regionally, and globally. Among the several good quality Islamic institutions, SMA Al-Izza Batu and SMA Darul Ulum 2 Jombang are very well known. Both are Islamic educational institutions that are organized using national and international standard quality. The indicators of a good quality Islamic education institution can be seen from the academic or non-academicals achievements and the grade of the accreditation at the national or international level. The researcher wants to analyze the success achieved by the two institutions as an attempt to develop Islamic institutions in Indonesia.
In the Islamic school process, environment-role is affecting to the education accomplishment, either in Islamic school or not. Education field out of Islamic school such as; home-schooling and society-schooling. If these could work each other propitiously, so the result would be filled the bill by government, people, and religion. Otherwise, if Islamic education is only focused on classroom-teaching and paying no regard to society education. Thus, very hard to attain intended outcome. Furthermore, if Islamic education does not care about family setting so will occur teaching learning process-failure especially Islamic religion subject. Therefore, in the carrying out of education in Islamic school, the importance of environment setting in education needs serious consideration to figure ideal human by government, people, and religion. Madrasah exhibition is an attempt of Islamic educational institution to acquaint itself to public till people know of its existence, advantages and superiority than the other schools. The exhibition is expected to demonstrate excellences of madrasah that will change public views so far, which are assumed madrasah is identical as backward, dirty and not advanced. Madrasah excellences are displayed on the society will make people excited and interested in Islamic educational institutions. Each education institute has a great longing to be able to conduct all education programs thoroughly. The desire to do the whole brings in the school endeavor that is how to create favorable situation between schools and students’ participant. The aim in doing close relationship between school and students’ participant is to give more comprehension for them in school life. Home visit is one of the school programs whose enormous effect in attempting school programs. The development of plantation agroindustry is very important effort to attract and encourage the emergence of new industries in the agricultural sector, also to create a resilient economic structure, added value of a product, jobs, and increase foreign exchange receipts. Coconut shell agroindustry is one of agroindustry mostly attempted on a household scale, so it has not been able to play a maximum role. This research took the village of Wager and Sukosari, located in Kasembon sub-district as the locus. This participatory action research is done through four stages, namely: (1) Planning (2) Action ( 3) Observation ( 4) reflection. After this action research is applied, there are some change, namely: (1) Added value and profit to coconut shell agro-industrial products. (2) Availability and skilled human resources. (3) Increased knowledge of management in running a business. (4) Increased knowledge of the importance of competitive excellence, marketing and sales, service, technology development, human resources management, and infrastructure. (5) The creation of an established life. (6) The creation of a happy, loving and supportive family.
Entrepreneurship development in Pesantren (Islamic boarding schools) is an important thing to do so that they become independent. This study aims to reveal and elaborate on three things, namely: the concept of kiai leadership in developing entrepreneurship in pesantren; strategies for developing entrepreneurship in pesantren; and the benefits obtained by pesantren and the surrounding community with the development of entrepreneurship in pesantren. The data were obtained from two pesantrens that have been successful in developing entrepreneurship, namely pesantren Sidogiri and pesantren An Nur 2. Data collection is done through interviews, observation, and documentation. All data were analyzed using domain and componential analysis techniques. The results of the data analysis show that the kiai's concept for developing entrepreneurship in pesantren is collective-collegial, democratic-participatory, and consultative-authoritative. While the strategy carried out by the Kiai is to build and maintain trust, empowerment, synergy, innovation, flexible policies, and solid cooperation. The benefits of the results of entrepreneurship development in pesantren are felt and enjoyed by various parties, namely: first, the availability of basic necessities for students, alumni, teachers, pesantren and surrounding communities. Second, the opening of new job opportunities for the community, especially residents around the pesantren. Third, pesantren have economic independence, so that they are authoritative and independent in regulating and managing pesantren. The research has implications for the development of entrepreneurship based on religious values.
