Although the mobility students were able to speak in the English language, it can be said that the language spoken had errors in sending the message across to the listener. It is also believed that the errors made were all common among the inbound students and not much help was given to them to overcome the issues. Therefore, the need to use communication strategies were important to enhance learning. It is hoped that further studies will focus on the long-term inbound mobility program.

The COVID-19 pandemic has become the main social practice that influences all contents in the advertising. It has become a crucial time for brands to monitor what they advertise as it can be beneficial or sensitive. Most brands in the industry are creating content surrounding the COVID-19 outbreak. The milk formula industry is one of the industries that has connected their content from the influence of the social practice of the COVID-19 pandemic. Milk formula brands have opted to use their social media to advertise their product through fear based emotional appear towards parents. In the advertisement, they emphasised the milk formula brands offer the best for their children so that parents will not need to worry from the COVID-19 on their children. This research is a qualitative research focusing on social practice analysis from Fairclough (1995) critical discourse analysis. 3 super premium milk formula brands Facebook description content advertisement were analysed. 3 Facebook descriptions were analysed for every brand, one from 2019 before the COVID-19 outbreak, one from 2020 at the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia and one in 2021, one year with the COVID-19 pandemic. The findings showed that the content from the milk formula brands for the pre COVID-19 outbreak was very generic and the product based on the Facebook descriptions in 2020 and 2021 included the COVID-19 content explicitly and implicitly. This showed that the social practice of the COVID-19 pandemic had influenced the content of the milk formula in a big way via its Facebook description post and how the industry is adapting to the pandemic situation and assuring parents that their brands are the best to protect their children. It is hoped that the future research could be done on the milk formula advertisements and the effectiveness of the digital advertising in comparison to the traditional advertising for the milk formula industry.
Communication involves taking part in a discussion in order to learn, to help other people learn, to examiner issues, to share ideas, and to listen to the ideas and points of view of others. A discussion involves interaction among group members, a willingness to share ideas, and a willingness to respect others' points of view. In other word, successful discussion involves leading and following, agreeing and disagreeing, contributing and questioning, exploring, expanding and focusing, evaluating, linking, responding, crediting, appreciating, and enjoying. However, distractions may happen in communication during discussion due to certain behaviours such as dominating, attacking, sarcasm about group members or their ideas, ridiculing, excluding, non-participation, lack of preparation, and often single-minded focus on task and many more. Therefore, this paper focuses on distraction in communication among secondary school students. The objectives of the study were to identify the theme and discuss the distraction during interaction. The samples of the study consisted of twelve subjects from a secondary school. The subjects were divided into groups of fours. They were given a task on storyboard for a video clip production. The activity took place in six weeks for three hours a week. The results of the study revealed that the subjects had given positive impact towards learning where they were actively involved in the task given.
Historical novels are getting less popular these days due to its content of story on historical events. To which it does not interests a lot of readers. Most of the historical novel readers are mainly adults in their 30s up to the elderlies in the late 50s to 70s. Therefore, our youngsters are not that interested in reading historical novels as compared to other kinds of novels like romance, comedy and many others. For such reason, authors tend to change their perspective and started to write about historical novels for teenagers. The content and elaboration of the novel should be able to attract the interest of the youngsters in reading the historical novels. Thus, the objective of this study is to identify settings in the 2019 teenagers' historical novels competition "Wira Demokrasi" by Nor Azida Ishak. The samples of the study consisted of the "Wira Demokrasi" teenagers' historical novel itself. The "Wira Demokrasi" teenagers' historical novel were chosen from the 2019 teenagers' historical novels competition and won the consolation price out of the 8 novels who competed in the competition. This study is a quantitative study whereby the number of settings that took place in the novel in each chapter were taken into account. The different settings used in each chapter of the novel were further elaborated into 3 different situations which are the place, time and society which were involved in each setting. The settings used in the novel were captured and analysed by using Discourse Analysis Theory by Normaliza Abd Rahim (2019;2021). The result of the study showed that setting plays an important role in elaborating the detail of the storyline. It helps to identify the actual surrounding and environment that the character of the story had to go through or face during certain situation. It also helps the reader to understand more in depth of what is happening in the storyline which mainly focused on the place, time and society involved. It is hoped that further studies will focus on other important aspects that needs further elaboration in the teenagers' historical novel.
