This study aims to analyze and examine in depth about the ability of mathematical representation that influenced the active learning of junior high school students. The method in this research using correlational method with quantitative approach. The population in this study is all junior high school students in the city of Bandung with a sample of students selected class IX Junior High School in the city of Bandung amounted to 22 students. Instrument in this research is a test of Reverentasi mathematical ability as much as 6 item and student activity scale as much as 21 scale statement. The results of this study concluded that the ability of mathematical representation of junior high school students is positively influenced by learning activeness of 93%, while 7% is influenced by other factors outside of student learning activity.
AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa SMP pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) melalui penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan pada siklus I dan siklus II. Setiap siklus terdiri dari lima pertemuan empat pertemuan di dalam kelas satu pertemuan di luar jam pembelajaran. Jenis tindakan yang dilakukan adalah pembelajaran IPS menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa pada siklus I persentase mencapai 77% kriteria "Tinggi" dan pada siklus II persentase mencapai 96% kriteria "Sangat Tinggi". Terjadi persentase peningkatan sebesar 19%. Dengan demikian model pembelajaran kooperatif Group Investigation terbukti dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa pada pembelajaran IPS kelas VIII H SMPN 01 Batu. The method used in this research is the Classroom Action Research are implemented in the first cycle and the second cycle. Each cycle consists of five convened four meetings in the classroom one meeting outside of instructional hours. The type of action taken is learning social studies using cooperative learning model type Group Investigation. Results of research conducted showed an increase in student motivation in the first cycle the percentage reached 77% criterion of "High" and the second cycle the percentage reached 96% criterion of "Very High". Happened percentage increase of 19%. Thus cooperative learning model of Group Investigation proven to increase students' motivation in learning social studies class VIII H SMPN 01 Batu City.
Achievement of competencies, especially related to the application of concepts is still a problem. This research answers this problem by applying the Direct Instruction model. The design used in the study used the Elliot model. This research was conducted in three cycles with an emphasis on different aspects. Each cycle consisted of the planning phase, the implementation phase, the observation phase, and the reflection phase, then after classroom action research was carried out using the direct learning model the student learning outcomes increased as follows: Cycle I is cognitive aspects, the pre-cycle average value of 62.96 with 52% completeness while after the action taken an average value of 77.36 with 84% classical completeness. Cycle II is psychomotor aspects, the pre-cycle average value of 69.68 with classical completeness of 52%, after taking action the average value of 80.72 with classical completeness of 80%. While the third cycle is affective aspects with an average value of 75.8 and 84% classical completeness with excellent learning outcomes category.Abstrak: Ketercapaian kompetensi, terutama yang berkaitan dengan penerapan konsep masih menjadi masalah. Penelitian ini menjawab masalah tersebut dengan menerapan model Pembelajaran Langsung (Direct Instruction). Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian menggunakan model Elliot. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus dengan menekankan pada aspek berbeda.Setiap siklus terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tahap pelaksanaan, tahap pengamatan dan tahap refleksi, kemudian setelah dilaksanakan penelitian tindakan dengan menggunakan model Pembelajaran Langsung hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan sebagaimana berikut: Siklus I aspek kognitif, nilai rata-rata pra siklus 62,96 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 52% sedangkan setelah dilakukan tindakan nilai rata-rata 77,36 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 84%. Siklus II aspek psikomotorik, nilai rata-rata pra siklus 69,68 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 52%, setelah dilakukan tindakan nilai rata-rata 80,72 dengan ketuntasan klasikal 80%. Sedangkan siklus III aspek afektif dengan nilai rata-rata 75,8 dan ketuntasan klasikal 84% dengan kategori hasil belajar sangat baik.
Personal hygiene is an act to maintain the cleanliness and health of a person for physical and psychological well-being. Lack of knowledge and information about the importance of personal hygiene makes the elderly not think too much about the impact that personal hygiene will have on the elderly. So that education (counseling) related to personal hygiene can increase knowledge in the elderly about the importance of maintaining and caring for personal hygiene. This counseling uses audiovisual in the form of video media (AVA or Audio Visual Aids). The result of this community service is a fact that the counseling went well and the elderly felt happy with the knowledge that was given. A healthy and clean lifestyle needs to be continuously socialized because cleanliness is the root of health and the elderly are susceptible to various diseases that originate from body uncleanness.
Abstrak: Kegiatan penempatan Pojok Baca sebagai usaha mendukung peningkatan minat baca masyarakat di balai desa Umbulrejo merupakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilatarbelakangi adanya usaha bersama untuk meningkatkan literasi dan minat baca di kalangan masyarakat desa karena di balai desa Umbulrejo tidak menyediakan pojok baca. Program ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi masyarakat dengan adanya dukungan pojok baca sekaligus dapat mendekatkan bahan bacaan kepada masyarakat selama di balai desa Umbulrejo. Metode pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam pengabdian masyarakat meliputi metode diskusi, promosi dan penempatan pojok baca di balai desa. Kegiatan ini melibatkan perangkat desa dalam proses diskusi dan promosi serta masyarakat sehingga pada hari pertama setelah peletakan awal pojok baca jumlah pengunjung lumayan banyak yaitu 16 orang dan tanggapan pengunjung sangatlah positif dan merasa beruntung karena di balai desa sudah ada pojok baca yang bukan hanya menguntungkan pihak desa saja tetapi juga masyarakat Umbulrejo dalam meningkatkan literasi membaca di desa Umbulrejo.
