Farmers Knowledge Level in the Use of Organic Fertilizer and Its Applicationin Rice Cultivation (Case in Subak Penarungan, Sub-District of Mengwi,Badung Regency) Public attention to the issue of agriculture and the environment in recent years haveincreased as a result of a big negative impact on the environment, compared with itspositive impact on increasing the productivity of agricultural crops. This encouragesseveral regions to hold organic farming. Organic farming is a natural farming whichin practice trying to avoid the use of chemicals and fertilizers that are poisoning theenvironment with the aim to obtain a healthy environmental condition.This studyaims to determine (1) the level of farmers' knowledge on organic fertilizer; and (3)the application of organic fertilizers by the farmers in the cultivation of lowland rice.The research was conducted at the Subak of Penarungan, Mengwi Sub-District ofBadung Regency. The choice of research location was conducted by purposivesampling. The population of the research was the active members of Subak ofPenarungan totaling of 167 people. The sample size was determined by using theformula of Slovin, so that the number of respondents was 63 people.This researchuse method analysaize descriptive qualitative. The results showed that farmers'knowledge about organic fertilizers can be categorized in the high category withachieving a score of 3.41. However, the application of organic fertilizer by thefarmers is classified in the medium category by achieving a score of 3.05. Based onthe results of this study can be suggested farmers as actors should be more activedoing weeding and want to optimize the use of organic fertilizer as recommended bythe extension. Because the use of sustainable organic fertilizer for the future will givea big influence in soil fertility, quality and not damage the environment.
Role of Social Capital in Preserving Subak Bukti Batan Badung in GulinganVillage, Mengwi Sub-district, Badung Regency Subak Bukti Batan Badung is one of the subaks found in Bali. The area of Subak BuktiBatan Badung was previously 65,25 hectares and had undergone land conversion of7,25 hectares. Seeing the current development, it is highly likely that the existence ofSubak Bukti Batan Badung could be threatened. Thus, there is a need for the role ofsocial capital is preserving Subak Bukti Batan Badung. The data analysis method usedwas descriptivr qualitative.The results of this study showed that social capital owned bySubak Bukti Batan Badung to keep its sustainability was good which could be seen in:(1) the farmer’s belief in other farmers, the farmer’s belief in subak administrators,farmer’s belief in the government program and religious rituals, and the farmer’e beliefin the cooperatives, (2) the norms; awig-awig owned was not strong enough to suppressland conversion. Other norms were still strong and obeyed by all the subak member. (3)The social network owned could br said to be good, it could be seen from subak’srelationship with banjar/adat village, subak relationship with Public Work andAgricultural Departements.The suggestion that can be made from this research is toreinforce regulation accompanied bu sanction for related parties violating the awig-awigand awareness of subak members not to do land conversion.
The purpose of this study was to engineer a social capital-based canvas business model that is oriented towards the value of products offered to customers and devised a strategy to empower young entrepreneurs to develop their business in Manado, North Sulawesi, in 2018. ANP (analytical network process) analysis was chosen as a decision analysis tool engineer of this business system. ANP allows dependencies and feedback, both between elements in the cluster (inner dependence) and between clusters (outer dependence). Supermatrix, with all its advantages, is a fundamental tool in ANP. Based on the results of the study produced a canvas business model based on participation in social networks, oriented to the value of product creation offered to customers, and supported by the empowerment of entrepreneurial competencies for young entrepreneurs, business infrastructure development, and social innovation. Continuously, it is necessary to validate model assumptions with customers in order to represent the potential of a social-based canvas model business in North Sulawesi.
The role of social capital in the Werdi Gopala Farmer Group has not been maximally carried out in developing the network of plant formalin marketing, so it needs to be studied by using trust, social network, social norm, and cooperation. The purpose was to determine the role of social capital in building a marketing network of formalin of lamtoro plant and to find out the obstacles encountered in plant formalin market. This research was conducted in the Pucaksari Village, Busungbiu Sub-District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. The findings showed that the role of social capital in establishing farmer group-based marketing network of plant formalin in the case of Werdi Gopala Farmer Group of Pucaksari Village is classified in the medium category. The role of each indicator of social capital is the role of trust classified in good category. The role of social networks is categorized very poor. The role of social norms is classified as moderate category. The role of cooperation is classified as moderate category. The main obstacle faced by the farmer group in marketing plant formalin is technical aspect which covers condition of equipment that is not productive. The second constraint is from the economic aspect which includes the lack of capital to purchase the equipment used to produce plant formalin, and the absence of plant formalin marketing from the farmer group. Suggestions that can be given is that by improving social network by coaching farmer group to use printed media and social media to market formalin plant assisted by the agricultural extension or students in their community service in Pucaksari Village, increasing cooperation with company in agriculture, adding equipments to produce formalin plant and increasing the capital by submitting a proposal to the government to get equipments or capital aids.
Aims for this research are to count the effects of farmers knowledge to farmers motivation, farmers motivation and chance for industrialist to level adoption of inovation using 2 : 1 Legowo Row planting system in Subak Penyaringan, Sub-District Mendoyo, Jembrana Regency. The research method used descriptive qualitative and quantitative method.Sample used are as many as 50 farmers member of Subak Penyaringan with purposive taken according to already know but not using 2 : 1 Legowo Row planting system. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and inferential statistics (Sem PLS). The result showed that farmers knowledge influent positively and has very significant effect to farmers motivation. Farmers motivation influent positively and had very significant efffect to level adoption of inovation using 2 : 1 Legowo Row planting system. Chance of industialist influent positively and had very significant effect to level adoption of inovation using 2 : 1 Legowo Row planting system. Suggestion that the writers can give are the local goverment and its line should give cropping tools for Legowo Row planting system, frtilizer subsidy, and certified seeds evenly to all Subak in Jembrana Regency, give more technical guidance and practice field (demonstration plot) and always mentoring when planting season has begun.
The largest sector contributing to GDP Buleleng District is agriculture, in order to develop these sectors will need to know what commodities are classified as superior. This research has the goal : 1). Analyzing the various agricultural commodities in excellent Buleleng district, and 2). Assessing the structure of growth in agricultural commodities Buleleng District. This study implemented in April to November 2016 Buleleng in District, Bali Province. Data using is a skunder data. Analysis tool used is Location Quotient and Typolegi Klassen. The results showed growth pattern and structure of agricultural commodities in Buleleng Regency is the leading commodity by commodity basis of food crops and the growth rate is maize. Peanut and rice paddy is slow-growing, but has a great contribution. Leading commodity vegetable crops in Buleleng regency in 2010 to 2015 are garlic and chili, as it is a prime commodity. Commodities onion, tomatoes, beans and kale are commodities that are grown, although not yet become a commodity base, which is included in the potential commodities are cabbage, while including commodities backward is mustard greens and bean. Potential commodities plant seed tropical kabupaten buleleng 2015 be spread in eight sub-districts. Commodities durian potentially developed in subdistrict Seririt, Busungbiu, Banjar, Sukasada, Buleleng, Sawan, Kubutambahan, and Tejakula, while commodities sapodilla can be developed in all areas Buleleng regency, because in every sub-district have a sapodilla production. Commodities guava potentially developed on seven sub-districts namely Grokgak, Seririt, Busunbiu, Banjar, Sukasada, Buleleng, and Sawan. Commodities pepaya can developed in all areas kabupaten buleleng.Crops plantation overall in 2010 to 2015 showed a fairly rapid growth,, but only two commodities that experienced slow growth compared with Bali Province that is vanilla and coffee robusta. Breeds average fast growth rate during the years 2010 to 2015 are Bali pigs, landrance, seddle back, goats, and fish catch. For fowls laying and broiler not cultivated in buleleng regency.
Fertilizer business is one of the business in agriculture proper to be developed. This can be seen from the high demand for organic fertilizer to make business people. Glance at promising business opportunities. The success of the organic fertilizer business is influenced by the strategy development . The purpose of this research is to formulate strategic alternatives and strategic priorities. Variables used in this study are the internal and external environment variables environment variables. Collection methods used were interviews, field observations, questionnaires, documentation and FGD (Focus Group Discussion) data . Data analysis methods used are SWOT Analysis and QSPM Analysis The results showed that there were four alternative strategies in the order of priority, namely (1). Trying to maintain and improve the quality of organic fertilizer. (2). Maintain old partners and explore new partnerships. (3). Improve the promotion strategy by utilizing information technology that is increasingly advanced. (4). Expand market share. The right priority strategy for marketing organic fertilizer at UD Darma Puri Farn is expanding market share which is the first choice among the four other strategies. A few things can be advised of the results of this study are as follows: (1). By utilizing media and good online marketing strategies , it is expected to increase sales without limitation of space and time. In addition, an increase in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is also needed to make it easier for cyberspace customers to find organic fertilizer products to be marketed. (2). In order for business to develop, what must be done is increasing the means of production, efficiency, and productivity through a work system aimed at improving the production process, as well as improving the quality of human resources in the workforce through education. and training. (3). To develop a business, it needs support from all elements, not only from the internal side of the business actor but also the role of government in supporting business development. It is hoped that the government can provide its support by providing entrepreneurship education to business people through guidance and counseling to improve the ability of small businesses to become resilient and independent businesses, as well as providing business capital assistance to increase the desire of business people to develop his business. Treating Arabica Coffee Potentials As A Main Sector Of The ExportCommodity Bali ProvinceThe last 5 years of Balinese economic growth has been stagnant (on average 5.5%), whileit is better than the national economic growth (5.02%). Given these facts, Balinese economicdevelopment needs to be directed to the source of new economic growth to create a progressive,inclusive and equitable acceleration of economic growth towards the equity of the wider society.In line with this intention, this study aims to map the potential industry which then becomes thecandidate for new economic growth.This study was using a descriptive research design, in which the researchers interactedintensely with key informants and various sources of reference, related to the field under study.Methodologically these assessment activities may include careful study (observation, fieldsurvey and documentary studies of the potential of arabica coffee that can be identified as futurebusiness opportunities.Coffee plants (Coffee Sp.) in addition to having a strategic value in the economicdevelopment of society, especially in rural areas. Its role is increasingly important consideringthe coffee garden place the highest position in terms of coffee ownership in the province of Bali.The development of the last 10 years, increased the area of planting area by 3.04%, productionby 27% per year, and the productivity (ose) an average of 1000 kg/ha/year. Until now Baliprovince ranks the top 10 coffee producers in Indonesia with planting area of 23,614 ha forRobusta and 9,448 ha for Arabica. The contribution of Arabica coffee to Bali’s coffee exportcommodity recently shows a significant increase in both quantity and quality. In terms of overallpotential in Bali (22,974 ha), most (20,840 ha) are located in 4 arabica coffee producer regencies,including: Bangli (12,589 ha); Karangasem (3,419 ha); Buleleng (3,400 ha) and Badung 1,413ha. However, in its development until 2014 the potential area can only be realized as acommunity plantation of 9,780 ha covering 3 regencies such as: Bangli, Buleleng and Badung,so there is still a potential remaining 46.4% of Bali's potential as a whole.
