The area of Paledah Village, Padaherang District, Pangandaran Regency is very potential to be developed. This village has interesting natural characteristics, unique social and cultural life. This potential must be encouraged and developed in accordance with the socio-cultural characteristics of the community. The development of community-based tourism is a strategic effort to build the community. Rural tourism development is a long-term and potential investment for the government because human resources and natural resources are available. The purpose of this study was to find out the development of tourism villages based on local wisdom, especially related to the concept of criteria for tourism villages in Paledah village. This study uses a qualitative approach. The process of collecting data used were interviews, observation, Forum Group Discussion (FGD), and literature review. The data analysis technique in this study was descriptive with the stages of data reduction and presentation as well as composing the conclusions. Validity and reliability tests were carried out through a triangulation process. The informants in this study were the government, tourism village communities, and tourism developers which totally 9 (nine) people. The results of the study indicate that the values of local wisdom in the development of agro tourism villages in Pangandaran Regency are contained in organizational principles. There are three main principles of organization, namely voluntary and opened-membership, democracy-based management, and independence. Village tourism criteria include attraction, accessibility, public facilities and tourist facilities, community empowerment, and marketing or promotion. Based of the five criteria for tourism villages in Paledah village, only two that have been running optimally, namely tourist attraction and community empowerment, while the other three criteria still have problems.
This study is to investigate the use of information and communication media in supporting agricultural extension activities. Media communication in this study is limited to brochures and leaflets. Research conducted at the Institute for Agricultural Technology in West Java. The population in this study is the agricultural extension workers with a total sample of 48 people. The method used is descriptive method with data collection through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and literature. Based on the results showed that: Frequency of use of communication media such as brochures and leaflets by agricultural extension workers are not too high, but most respondents using brochures and leaflets as a medium supporting agricultural extension activities; The intensity of the use of brochures and leaflets by agricultural extension is also not too high, but almost half of the respondents use of brochures and leaflets in supporting agricultural extension activities; The reason the use of brochures and leaflets in general respondents stated that because of the information contained in brochures and leaflets in accordance with the needs in supporting agricultural extension activities; While the purpose of the use of brochures and leaflets majority of respondents stated to increase knowledge in supporting agricultural extension activities.
Introduction. A village library is a public library that support rural community education activities. The village library should be transformed into a sosial inclusion-based library. The paper aims to explore services and activities of Jendela Dunia Village Library based on sosial inclusion. Data Collection Method. This paper used a qualitatative research method with a case study approach. Data Analysis. The data collection techniques were conducted through interviews, observations, and library studies. Results and Discussion. The Jendela Dunia Village Library has been run based on sosial inclusion considering aspects of collection development to support the needs of the community with a web-based digital library. Several activities have also been conducted such as organising training of computer, making handicrafts, arts, and gymnastics, organisings innovative KOBOK services, managing mobile reading bicycles, and supporting health literacy through Posyandu and Posbindu. Conclusion. Jendela Dunia Village Library is a sosial inclusion-based library that is creatively managed and has the full support of the village leader. This can be a model for other village libraries in utilizing the potential of the village. Jendela Dunia Village Library also opens training sfor library managers outside the village.
This study aims to examine more deeply about the use of the internet for entrepreneurial purposes or livelihoods among rural youth. The method used is observation and in-depth interviews with 20 business informants in this internet sector. The results of the study illustrate that (a) viewed from the aspect of knowledge, business people understand correctly that the internet is the main media used to find information and sources of livelihood information; (b) viewed from the aspect of motivation, they are encouraged to use the internet for entrepreneurship because it is very easy to learn; (c) judging from the aspects of behavior and experience, business people in this sector feel very disturbed when there are a network disorder. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji lebih dalam mengenai pemanfaatan internet untuk tujuan wirausaha atau penghidupan di kalangan pemuda pedesaan. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara mendalam terhadap 20 orang informan pelaku usaha di sektor internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (a) dilihat dari aspek pengetahuan, para pelaku usaha memahami benar bahwa internet menjadi media utama yang digunakan untuk mencari informasi dan sumber informasi penghidupan; (b) dilihat dari aspek motivasi, mereka terdorong menggunakan internet untuk berwirausaha karena sangat mudah dipelajari; (c) dilihat dari aspek perilaku dan pengalaman, para pelaku usaha di sektor ini, merasa amat terganggu manakala terjadi gangguan listrik dan jaringan internet.
This study focused on the information literacy among the students of Islamic boarding school (santri) in their learning processes. The purpose of this study describes how the information literacy skills of the students are developed and how to make the students become literate to information individually. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design. Information literacy in this study was viewed from three aspects, namely: realizing the need of information, retrieving the source of information and utilizing the content of information. The findings from the field indicate that many students know the ways to explore and utilize the information they need. However, the access to get information at schools were very limited. The pupils can only get additional information from the internet on computers (PC) in the computer lab. However, they maximized this limited access to explore and utilize the technology of information in their learning process.

It used descriptive data analysis technique and the steps aredata reduction and presentation, and conclusion. Test of Validity and reliability used triangulation process. Informants in this study were the government, tourism village communities, and tourism developers. The number are 9 persons. The results indicate the values of local wisdom in developing agro tourism village in Pangandaran regency is embodied in organizational principles. There are three basic principles: membership is voluntary and open, management is democratic, and self-reliant. Tourism village criteria include attraction, accessibility, public facilities and tourism facilities, community empowerment, and marketing or promotion. Of the five criteria tourism village in Paledah village, two of it have been running well.Those are the attraction of tourism and community empowerment. While the other three criteria still have constraints.
ABSTRACT-This research is aimed to know the knowledge level of the society around Bosscha Observatory in Lembang about light pollution. The research was conducted using a survey method to 98 respondents in Lembang Village, Lembang District, West Bandung District. Based on the results of the research, it is revealed that the knowledge level of the society around Bosscha Observatory Lembang about light pollution is categorized as high. It is based on the research on four dimensions of knowledge with high results for factual, conceptual, and procedural knowledge, thus indicating that the public knows well the term, indicators, causes, disorder, harmful nature, the countermeasure solution, the countermeasure techniques, and the criteria of when to apply the procedure of light pollution countermeasure. Then, the next is medium results for metacognition knowledge indicating that the public knows enough information resources, the importance of countermeasures, and the awareness of the knowledge about light pollution. Therefore the society is expected to be wiser in using artificial light and contribute to reducing light pollution. Keywords
