The education management has developed an integrated curriculum between attitude, knowledge and skill assessment based on strengthening character education, because education plays a role in producing high-quality human resources who have balanced intellectual, moral and spiritual abilities. To realize this, the integration of the curriculum between educational institutions should be carried out both in pesantren education and school education. This study aims to formulate and analyze the process of integrative curriculum management both planning, implementation of Islamic boarding school education and school education in order to be able to improve the quality of education. This research uses descriptive qualitative research with a multicase study design. Data collection techniques in this study used interview, participant observation and documentation. The results showed that (1) The planning of an integrative curriculum for pesantren education and school education in improving the quality of education is carried out in three forms, namely conducting coordination meetings, reviewing the curriculum and preparing learning tools. (2) The implementation of an integrative curriculum for pesantren education and school education in improving the quality of education is carried out by integrating cottage subjects in learning activities at school, carrying out habituation activities and using cottage books as reference material in school learning. (3) Evaluation of the integrative curriculum of pesantren education and school education in improving the quality of education is carried out in the form of daily tests, Qur'an certification exams, mid-semester assessments, end-of-semester assessments and supervision of the curriculum.
This article is aimed at describing Collective activity strategy of CPD to improve teacher at Islamic High School of Pesantren. Using qualitative approach in the form of a naturalistic phenomenology, the research setting was three Islamic high school of Pesantren. Data collection techniques used was in depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the main steps of data condensation, data display, and verification/drawing conclusions. The result shows that the preparation of teachers for relevant CPD, building selfawareness of teachers toward self-improvement of knowledge and skill, and the use of various of collective activities of CPD. Besides, the school principal also builds self-awareness of teachers by motivating, supporting, and facilitating teachers to carry out self-development on personal initiative (self-initiative) outside the school program.
This research is motivated by efforts to improve effective educational services so that they are able to face developments and competition that is so tight and become an institution that is able to survive, and play a good role, even more advanced. The curriculum can be said to be the heart of education because of its central position in all school activities. The Islamic education curriculum is very interesting to study because ideally, it should contain material that provides coverage for life in this world and in the hereafter. This study aims to analyze and find the concept of curriculum design in realizing an effective school. This study uses a qualitative approach, the type of case study with a multi-case design. Data collection techniques used in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Data analysis uses the Miles Huberman model of data reduction, data presentation, verification, and drawing conclusions. Data were analyzed from single and cross-case data. Data validity techniques through credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The results showed that the curriculum design in schools was prepared based on the school's vision, mission, and goals, which were discussed in teacher and education staff working meetings involving committees and foundations. The results of the curriculum design are subject-centered design for intracurricular activities, and with the type of learner-centered design for extracurricular activities. Then, the contents of the curriculum consist of the National Curriculum, local content, and an adequate internal (typical) Islamic curriculum.
A good brand image in an Islamic educational institution has an attraction for public interest in using the educational services provided. Brand image does not come by itself but is built by all existing human resources. Brand image is an important factor for an educational institution because it serves as a differentiating identity from other institutions and as a natural promotional asset in society. This study aims to analyze and find strategy in building brand image of Islamic educational institutions to increase public interest carried out by MA Ma'arif NU Blitar City and MA Ma'arif Udanawu Blitar Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach and is a case study research type with a multi-site research design. Data collection techniques were carried out by (1) in-depth interviews, (2) participatory observation, (3) documentation. Data analysis was carried out with steps of data collection, data reduction, data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. The results of this study found that the strategy in building a brand image in Islamic educational institutions is carried out by holding direct or face-to-face meetings with the community and utilizing mass media or social media to build positive impression in the minds of the public.
