Image is a term from the world of industry that is currently entered in the education world, especially the Islamic educational institutions. Today the business is very important imaging in the presence of Islamic educational institutions, this is due to the more important and urgent to establish the image of Islamic educational institutions in response to his role in educating generations of the nation, especially in the framework of the unitary republik of Indonesia. Fostering the quality and professionalism of teachers is the responsibility and obligation of the madrasah principal (supervisor) as madrasah leader. Therefore, there is a lot of work that must be done by the head of madrasah in developing teacher competence, including the head of madrasah should supervise teachers by monitoring and evaluating teacher performance so that educational goals can be met according to what is planned. The function of the head of madrasah as supervisor is very important considering that the head of the madrasah is fully responsible for the quality of madrasah learning.This research is a type of qualitative field research research. The type of research used is a case study, which is a research conducted intensively, in detail and in depth on a particular organization, institution or phenomenon. In this study, researchers conducted research at MI Miftahul Huda, having its address at Tulungagung Regency, East Java. To obtain the required data, several methods were used, namely; interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis stages in this study are as follows: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.Based on the data obtained from observations, interviews and documentation, the researcher suggests several research results, namely; 1) The implementation of academic supervision at MI Miftahul Huda related to professional and pedagogical competence of teachers by the head of the madrasah is by cross-checking in the field and by regularly checking the learning tools of all teachers at the beginning of the year, such as lesson plans, syllabus, annual programs, semester programs, etc. 2) As for social competence, the head of the madrasah delivers to teachers in meetings and daily interactions in order to respect parents and guardians of students, all criticism of suggestions is accommodated and acted upon, maintaining good Javanese interaction. 3) And for the personality competence of the principal of the madrasah stick the teacher's code of ethics in the form of a banner in the teacher's room. 4)Academic supervision used at MI Miftahul Huda is a clinical supervision model.
A good brand image in an Islamic educational institution has an attraction for public interest in using the educational services provided. Brand image does not come by itself but is built by all existing human resources. Brand image is an important factor for an educational institution because it serves as a differentiating identity from other institutions and as a natural promotional asset in society. This study aims to analyze and find strategy in building brand image of Islamic educational institutions to increase public interest carried out by MA Ma'arif NU Blitar City and MA Ma'arif Udanawu Blitar Regency. This research uses a qualitative approach and is a case study research type with a multi-site research design. Data collection techniques were carried out by (1) in-depth interviews, (2) participatory observation, (3) documentation. Data analysis was carried out with steps of data collection, data reduction, data condensation, data display, and drawing conclusion. The results of this study found that the strategy in building a brand image in Islamic educational institutions is carried out by holding direct or face-to-face meetings with the community and utilizing mass media or social media to build positive impression in the minds of the public.
In Islam there is a suggestion that affirms that learning is an obligation for both men and women. Learning activities are to gain success in developing one's potential and talents. Learning is a behavioral change as a result of the experience of the learning process with a series of activities such as: reading, trying something, following a certain direction, observing, listening, imitating and so on (physical-spiritual activity) to full personal development. Students who are in the process of learning obligatory have a noble intention in him, that is learning is one part of worship that aims to seek Allah SWT, get happiness hereafter, combat ignorance, and improve civilization for society. In Islamic Education institutions of course need to learn to be empowered learners become independent learners, there are several strategies to empower learning among others; daily discussions, daily writing programs, daily competitions, daily practice, mobile library system, simple research training, and comparative studies were conducted. With the empowerment of intensive learning then Islamic education will produce graduates self-reliant and tough as a supporter of the progress of Islam. AbstrakDalam Islam terdapat anjuran yang menegaskan bahwa belajar merupakan sebuah kewajiban bagi laki-laki dan perempuan. Aktivitas belajar adalah untuk memperoleh keberhasilan dalam pengembangan potensi dan bakat seseorang. Belajar merupakan perubahan perilaku sebagai hasil dari pengalaman dari proses pembelajaran dengan serangkaian aktivitas misalnya: membaca, mencoba sesuatu, mengikuti arah tertentu, mengamati, mendengarkan, meniru dan lain sebagainya (aktivitas ruhani-jasmani) menuju perkembangan pribadi yang utuh. Siswa yang sedang dalam proses belajar wajib hukumnya mempunyai niat yang luhur dalam dirinya, yaitu bahwa belajar merupakan salah satu bagian dari ibadah yang bertujuan mencari ridha Allah SWT, mendapat kebahagiaan akhirat, memerangi kebodohan, dan meningkatkan peradaban bagi masyarakat. Di lembaga Pendidikan Islam tentu belajar perlu diberdayakan agar peserta didik menjadi sosok pembelajar mandiri, ada beberapa strategi memberdayakan belajar diantaranya; dilaksanakan kegiatan diskusi setiap hari, mengadakan program menulis setiap hari, diadakan lomba setiap hari, melaksanakan praktek setiap hari, diadakan sistem perpustakaan keliling, melatih penelitian sederhana, dan mengadakan studi banding. Dengan pemberdayaan belajar yang intensif maka pendidikan Islam akan menghasilkan lulusan-lulusan mandiri dan tangguh sebagai penopang kemajuan Islam.
This study aims to explore and describe in depth the motivation of TPQ teachers in teaching the Qur'an which is associated with the theory of needs developed by Maslow at TPQ Miftahul Jannah Kalangan Ngunut Tulungagung. This study uses a qualitative approach and this type of research is a case study. This study’s data sources were the head of the TPQ, students, and teachers. This study uses several methods in collecting data, namely: the participatory observation method, in-depth interview method, and documentation method. The results of the study stated that TPQ teachers thought that teaching the Qur'an was part of worship, teaching the Qur'an was following the orders of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, teaching the Qur'an was a practice that would never lose its reward, and teaching the Qur'an to children is part of the fun (entertainment). TPQ teachers in teaching the Qur'an are not based on the fulfillment of physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, esteem needs, and actualization needs but are based on the main intention, namely to worship Allah SWT.
