ÖZ. Bu araştırmada, lise 9. ve 10. sınıf öğrencilerinin internet bağımlılık düzeyleri ile problem çözme becerileri arasındaki ilişkinin çeşitli değişkenler (cinsiyet, yaş, okul türü, ekonomik düzey, internet kullanım amacı ve internet kullanım süresi) açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini, İstanbul ili Ümraniye ilçesindeki 1 Anadolu Lisesi, 1 Genel Lise ve 2 Meslek Lisesinden seçkisiz örnekleme yöntemlerinden tabakalı örnekleme kullanılarak seçilen 400 lise 9. ve 10. sınıf (197 kız, 203 erkek) öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada, Young (1998) tarafından geliştirilen ve Bayraktar (2001) tarafından Türkçe'ye uyarlanan "İnternet Bağımlılığı Ölçeği" ile Heppner ve Peterson tarafından (1982) geliştirilen "Problem Çözme Envanteri" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre öğrencilerin internet bağımlılık düzeyleri ile problem çözme beceri puanları arasında pozitif anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin internet bağımlılık düzeylerinin cinsiyete, ekonomik düzeye, internet kullanım amacı ve süresine göre farklılaştığı tespit edilmiştir. The aim of this research is to investigate the relationship between internet addiction and problem solving skills of high school students (9th and 10th grade) in terms of several variables (sex, age, school, economic level, and internet intended purpose and internet exposure time). Research sample is composed of 400 high school students (9th and 10th grade / 197 girls and 203 boys) chosen from 1 Anatolian High School, 1 General High School and 1 Vocational High School which are located in Ümraniye district in İstanbul by quota sampling method of random sampling method. Life and death constitute a whole, and these concepts become increasingly important in the evaluation of life among middleaged adults. Therefore, this study investigated the correlation between individual levels of death anxiety and meaning in life in terms of certain variables such as gender, age, educational status, marital status, perceived level of devoutness, and witness to death. The sample consisted of 185 individuals (82 males, 103 females; aged 25-55 years) living in Istanbul, Turkey. The data was collected by using a Personal Information Form, the Death Anxiety Scale, and the Meaning in Life Questionnaire. The findings showed that, as the death anxiety and meaning in life subscale levels increased, the meaning in life levels decreased. In addition, it was found that death anxiety does not differ according to the following variables: age (25-35 and 35-55 years), educational status, marital status, perceived religious belief, and living with someone. The results also indicated that women tend to experience more death anxiety than men, and that individuals who witnessed the death of a close person generally feel more death anxiety than those who did not.

The purpose of this research is to develop a successful aging scale specific to Turkey. This research was carried out on two different study groups for exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis studies. The study group formed for exploratory factor analysis consists of 521, and the group for confirmatory factor analysis consists of 243 elderly individuals.By the analyzes carried out, the KMO value of the Successful Aging Scale was found to be .97; validity and reliability analyzes were continued. It was observed that the 19-item SAS with item loads varying between .74 and .84 explained 61.42% of the total variance. After the exploratory factor analysis studies of the SAS, the confirmatory factor analysis studies were started and after the two modifications, the model fit indices were found at an acceptable level (χ2 / df = 2.24, RMSEA = .069, CFI = .922, TLI = .911, SRMR =. .067). In order to determine the criterion-based validity of the SAS, Successful Aging Scale and the Aging In-Situ Scale were used. As a result of the analysis, it was seen that the SAS showed a moderate meaningful relationship with both scales. The Cronbach alpha internal consistency coefficient of the total score of the SAS was calculated as .96 in the first study group and .90 in the second study group.

The aim of the present study is to determine the relationship between selfperceptions and social behaviors of gifted primary school children. The target population of the study consists of 874 third and fourth grade students who are from a district on the European side of Istanbul. These students are labeled as gifted according to the Primary Mental Abilities Test (7-11). 368 students (211 girls and 157 boys) participated in the research conducted in 16 primary schools. The Piers-Harris Children's Self-Concept Scale was used in the study to determine the self-perception levels while the School Social Behavior Scales (SSBS) was used to assess the social behaviors of the gifted children. According to the findings of the study, it was found that the self-perceptions of gifted children predicted the social competence and antisocial behaviors (p <.01). It was seen that as the children's self-perception levels increased, their social competence increased (r = .186) and antisocial behaviors decreased (r = .160).
