The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the differences in students' critical thinking skills in natural science subjects between those who use the Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model (TSTS) and those who use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model (2) the effectiveness of Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) type of cooperative learning models and Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models in improving students' critical thinking skills. This type of research was an experiment with a Posttest-Only Control Design group method. The sampling technique used was Cluster Random Sampling to determine the experimental class and the controlled class. Data collection techniques were the test. Furthermore, the research instrument used the final test to measure students' critical thinking skills. From the results of data analysis, it was obtained the results of hypothesis testing and hypothesis testing on the effectiveness of students' critical thinking skills. The calculation results of the hypothesis test for differences in critical thinking skills of students using the Independent Samples t-test showed tcount> ttable (14.710> 1.674) and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, while the results of the effectiveness test on students' critical thinking skills used the One Sample t-test. The test shows the value of tcount> ttable (11.654> 1.708) and a significance value of 0.000 <0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) cooperative learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills.
This study aims to determine the validity and level of readability of the Basic Concepts Science module with SETS vision (Science, Environment, Technology, Society) based on Science Literacy. Testing the validity of the module in this R & D (Research and Development) uses content validity and construct validity tests, while testing the readability level of the module using the crossing test technique. The results of the study show the level of validity of the modules developed is included in the category of very high validity so that the module can be used. Meanwhile, the results of the module readability level test show that the Basic Concepts Science Module Based on Science Literacy SETS developed in the category is quite easy to understand and ideal for use in learning.
The emergence of Differential Item Functioning (DIF) indicates an external bias in an item. This study aims to identify items at scientific literacy skills with integrated science (SLiSIS) test that experience DIF based on gender. Moreover, it is analyzed the emergence of DIF, especially related to the test construct measured, and concluded on how far the validity of the SLiSIS test from the construct validity of consequential type. The study was conducted with a quantitative approach by using a survey or non-experimental methods. The samples of this study were the responses of the SLiSIS test taken from 310 eleventh-grade high school students in the science program from SMA 2 and SMA 3 Tegal. The DIF analysis technique used Wald Test with the Rasch model. From the findings, eight items contained DIF in a 95 % level of trust. In 99 % level of trust, three items contained DIF, items 1, 6, and 38 or 7%. The DIF is caused by differences in test-takers ability following the measured construct, so it is not a test bias. Thus, the emergence of DIF on SLiSIS test items does not threaten the construct validity of the consequential type.

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest and postest group design. Peta konsep yang digunakan dalam bentuk fill in mapp sehingga peserta didik diminta untuk melengkapi peta konsep yang telah disediakan. Penelitian ini di analisis menggunakan uji t. Hasil yang diperoleh dari analisis data pretest dan postest menggunakan uji t bahwa terdapat perbedaan antara hasil pretest dan postest dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. Sehingga hipotesis pada penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa 0 ditolak dan 1 diterima. 0 ditolak karena hasil uji t menyatakan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil pada pretest dan postest dengan nilai postest lebih tinggi dari pada nilai pretest sehingga hipotesis yang dapat diterima 1 yaitu ada peningkatan hasil belajar dan berpikir kritis peserta didik melalui metode concept mapping bervisi SETS. Kata Kunci : berpikir kritis; concept mapping; SETSThis study aims to determine that the SETS vision concept mapping method can improve students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a quantitative approach and this type of research is experimental research. The research design used was the pretest and posttest group design. The concept map used in the fill in app form so that students are asked to complete the concept map that has been provided. This study was analyzed using the t test. The results obtained from the pretest and posttest data analysis used the t test that there were differences between the results of the pretest and posttest with a significance value of 0.00 <0.05. So that the hypothesis in the study can be seen that rejected and accepted. rejected because the results of the t test state that there are differences in the results at the pretest and posttest with the posttest value higher than the pretest value so that the acceptable hypothesis is that there is an increase in students' learning and critical thinking through SETS vision concept mapping method.
Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan implementasi model pembelajaran SETS berbasis probing-prompting. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII SMP N 8 Pekalongan. Desain dalam penelitian adalah pretest-posttest. Metode pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis berupa pilihan ganda. Pengujian profil kemampuan berpikir kritis dilakukan melalui analisis kemampuan dengan menghitung selisih antara kemampuan awal dan akhir. Hasil penelitian profil kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan implementasi model SETS berbasis probing-prompting meningkat yaitu pretest 72.5% dan posttest 82.9% atau dengan selisih sebesar 10.4%.
