This research analyzed the influence of employee creativity on innovation in the hospitality industry in West Sumatra Province. This research is confirmatory. The samples are 96 employees in five hotels in West Sumatra. The number of samples was determined using purposive sampling technique. This research analyzed using SPSS. The result found that employee creativity has a positive and significant effect on innovation in the hospitality industry in West Sumatra Province. The results highlight the influences of creativity on organizational innovation. This is clearly showing in this relationship from an empirical point of view.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap burnout karyawan pada perusahaan tekstil manufaktur di Sumatera Barat melalui work life balance sebagai mediator. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam jenis penelitian deskriptif kausatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh karyawan perusahaan manufaktur tekstil di Sumatera Barat. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling yang berjumlah 182 orang. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis SEM dengan menggunakan PLS3 smart. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap burnout karyawan perusahaan tekstil manufaktur di Sumatera Barat. (2) Kecerdasan emosional positif dan signifikan terhadap work life balance pada perusahaan manufaktur tekstil di Sumatera Barat. (3) Keseimbangan kehidupan kerja negatif dan signifikan pada karyawan yang mengalami burnout pada perusahaan manufaktur tekstil di Sumatera Barat. (4) Kecerdasan emosional berpengaruh signifikan terhadap burnout karyawan perusahaan tekstil manufaktur di Sumatera Barat dengan work life balance sebagai variabel mediasi.
Era revolusi industri 4.0 yang ditandai dengan lahirnya teknologi digital dan internet, pengguaan teknologi digital merambah ke keseluruhan aspek kehidupan termasuk pada bidang pendidikan. Guru dituntut untuk dapat memahami dan menggunakan teknologi, terlebih lagi siswa saat ini merupakan generasi Z yang sejak kecil telah mengenal teknologi dan tidak dapat terpisahkan dari teknologi. Penggunaan teknologi dalam proses pembelajara salah satunya pada media pembelajaran, sehingga kemampuan guru dalam mengambangkan media pembelajaran berbasis digital learning harus terus ditingkatkan. Oleh karena itu guru membutuhkan pelatihan dalam menggunakan aplikasi-aplikasi media pembelajaran berbasis digita. Dengan adanya pelatihan diharapkan pengetahuan dan kemampuan guru dalam memanfaatkan dan mendesain media pembelajaran berbasis digital akan meningkat sehingga media pembelajaran lebih sesuai dengan karakteristik siswa.
Pada tahun 2020, Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) merilis data Tingkat Pengangguran. Persentase terbesar berasal dari lulusan SMK. Hal ini tentunya bertentangan dengan tujuan SMK yaitu menyiapkan lulusan yang siap kerja. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini ingin melihat sejauh mana persiapan siswa SMK dalam berkarir. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMK di Batipuh. Berdasarkan hasil total capaian responden, terlihat bahwa indikator penilaian diri, eksplorasi peluang, perencanaan karir, dan kebutuhan berprestasi tidak terlalu tinggi. Satu-satunya indikator yang mendapat skor tinggi rata-rata adalah penetapan tujuan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa untuk mempersiapkan karir siswa di SMK Batipuh masih kurang, diperlukan pendampingan dari semua pihak yang terkait untuk mendukung dan membantu siswa dalam mempersiapkan diri untuk menentukan karir sejak dini.
This research examined the implementation of the Dual Pathway Creativity Model (DPCM) as a function of cognitive flexibility and cognitive persistence in employees working at companies engaged in the tourism sector in West Sumatra. Dual Pathway Creativity Model (DPCM) suggests a more comprehensive theory about employee creativity. DPCM argues that a flexible and pleasant environment can encourage flexibility and creativity. However, problems and a less flexible environment might also encourage creativity, but through a different process compared to a flexible environment. This research used a purposive sampling technique with 96 respondents, consisting of employees working in the tourism sector. The results showed that cognitive flexibility had a positive effect on employee creativity in the tourism sector in West Sumatra, while cognitive persistence had a negative effect on employee creativity in the tourism sector in West Sumatra.
This study aims to analyze: (1) the effect of financial compensation on employee retention (2) the effect of career development on employee retention (3) the influence of the non-physical work environment which moderates the effect of financial compensation on employee retention (4) the influence of non-physical work environments that moderate the effect of career development on employee retention. This research is a causal research. The population in this study were all non-managerial employees of Bank Bengkulu Cabang Curup and Bank Bengkulu Cabang Pembenatu Pasar Tengah, with a total of 38 people. The sampling technique was taken using total sampling where the number of samples was the same as the population, namely 38 people. Collecting data using a questionnaire with a Likert scale. The analysis technique used is through the SPSS 20.0 software. The results of data processing in this study indicate that: (1) Financial compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee retention at Bank Bengkulu Cabang Curup dan Bank Bengkulu Cabang Pembantu Pasar Tengah, (2) Career development has a positive and significant effect on employee retention at Bank Bengkulu Cabang Curup dan Bank Bengkulu Cabang Pembantu Pasar Tengah, (3) non-physical work environment does not significantly moderate the effect of financial compensation on employee retention at Bank Bengkulu Cabang Curup dan Bank Bengkulu Cabang Pembantu Pasar Tengah, (4) non-physical work environment does not significantly moderate the effect of career development on employee retention at Bank Bengkulu Cabang Curup dan Bank Bengkulu Cabang Pembantu Pasar Tengah.
The aim of this research is to examine the influence of two leadership styles (transformational leadership and transactional leadership) on commitment to organizational change of government employee in Padang, West Sumatra. This research object is employee working as government employee in Padang city. This research used questionnaires as primary sources of data to measure the variables. This research used purposive sampling to determine the sample. This research used 176 respondents, from several public sector organizations in Padang city. The data will be analysed using regression analysis, using SPSS. The results found that both transformational leadership style and transactional leadership style had positive and significant impact on commitment to organizational change.
This research used transformational leadership as independent variables which had negative influence on cynicism about organizational change. While distributive justice used as moderated variable that expected to affect the relationship of transformational leadership on cynicism about organizational change. The survey was conducted to 250 employees of PT PLN branch Padang (Rayon Kuranji, Rayon Tabing, Rayon Belanti and Rayon Indarung), PT Telkom area Padang, PT MNC Sky Vision (KPP KPP Padang and Bukittinggi). At least, 202 Questionnaires were collected, but only 187 questionnaires that can be processed.
