T his research is aimed at finding the effects of: 1) organizational culture on performance, 2) leadership on performance; 3) achievement motivation on performance; 4) organizational culture on achievement motivation; 5) leadership on achievement motivation. This research used a survey method with a causal approach. There were 255 lecturers selected from initial population of 706 individuals based on a simple random technique as the sample. This research was conducted using questionnaires given to lecturers in Jambi University. The validity test was conducted using the Cronbach's alpha. Keywords:performance; organizational culture; leadership; achievement motivation.The results showed that: first, there was a direct effect of organizational culture on performance; second, there was a direct effect of leadership on performance; third, there was a direct effect of achievement motivation on performance; fourth, there was a direct effect of organizational culture on achievement motivation; fifth, there was a direct effect of leadership on achievement motivation. The implication of this research is that the effort to improve lecturer performance can be made by improving the organizational culture, leadership, and achievement motivation.
Nepenthes spp. memiliki nilai ekologi, ekonomi dan ekslusifitas bagi masyarakat pada umumnya, namun eksistensi di habitat alaminya setiap tahunnya semakin terancam. Hal ini disebabkan oleh konversi lahan hutan, semak belukar menjadi kawasan pemukiman, perladangan, perkebunan, pembalakan hutan, degradasi hutan, dan eksploitasi liar, sehingga preservasinya cenderung terabaikan. Penelitian bertujuan mempertelakan secara ilmiah deskripsi dan eksplorasi vegetasi komunitas Nepenthes spp., nilai penting dan indeks keanekaragaman tumbuhan dalam komunitasnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah metode survei dan teknik pengambilan data mengikuti prosedur kerja ekologi, obervasi, koleksi secara langsung pada sejumlah sampel, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan Nepenthes mirabilis dan N. gracilis. Komposisi tumbuhan dalam komunitas Nepenthes spp. tercatat 43 spesies termasuk ke dalam 25 famili. Nilai kepentingan tertinggi adalah Stenoclaena palustris (14,65%), Dicronapteris linearis (17,74%), dan Lygodium microphyllum (12,10%). Indeks keanekaragaman spesies berdasarkan Shannon-Wiener tergolong rendah (1,86). Rendahnya nilai indeks keanekaragaman spesies dalam suatu komunitas dipengaruhi oleh interaksi yang terjadi dalam komunitas tersebut kecil dan gangguan lingkungan alami ataupun kegiatan aktivitas manusia.
This study aims to examine the management of the Principal towards the school's income and expenditure budget (APBS) at Public High School or SMAN 10 East Tanjung Jabung, Jambi. The research was motivated by 1) APBS planning carried out by the Principal was only formulated by school managerial decision makers, was not discussed openly with all existing human resources, 2) there was still limited training by the Principal regarding the preparation of the APBS, 3) Principals had difficulty adjusting the APBS plan with needs, and 4) the assessment of the implementation of the APBS is not effective. This research uses qualitative methods that are based on the philosophy of postpositivism. Data is obtained through participation observation, interviews, and documentation. Based on the research, it is known that the sources and budget allocations are still limited. there are still problems with the process, namely: a) Still difficult for budget users to specify budget requirements, b) The ability of administrative personnel to manage BOS is limited, c) school budget allocation as a source of school development is still not in accordance with the real needs of schools and d) Limitations of school principals carry out continuous monitoring. Planning activities are still not detailed, the implementation has been carried out in accordance with the planning, and the APBS evaluation has been carried out effectively.
This study found an integrated quality management model at UIN North Sumatra Medan in developing soft skills-based graduate competencies. The research instrument is the researcher himself as a key instrument. Data collection was carried out in three ways, namely; observation, interview, and documentation study. To analyze the data, several steps were taken, namely; compiling data, linking data, producing data, presenting data, and making conclusions. To achieve a reliable level of research data that has been collected, credibility and triangulation tests were carried out. The results showed that UIN SU Medan implements quality management in developing soft skills-based graduate quality through the effectiveness of the implementation of management functions.
The present research is aimed to determine the management model of excellent schools in instilling religious behavior to the students at state high schools in North Sumatra Province. This research is useful to enrich the scientific paradigm in the field of Management of Islamic Education, especially studies on the management of excellent schools in instilling religious behavior to their students. The research used qualitative approach. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews and documentations. The data analysis used Milles and Huberman model, while the data analysis technique used data triangulation. The data were collected in excellent state high schools in North Sumatra with these following subjects: (1) SMA Negeri 2 Plus Martabe Sipirok, Tapanuli Selatan; (2) SMA Negeri 1Plus Matauli Pandan, Tapanuli Tengah; (3) SMA Negeri 2 Plus Panyabungan, Mandailing Natal. The results of this research indicate that, first: the success of management of excellent schools is influenced by inputs and processes in determining the output and outcome of the students’ religious behavior. Second, the management of excellent schools in North Sumatra involves all components of stakeholders, such as foundations, government, and communities, starting from start planning, implementation and supervision and financing. Third, the religious behavior of students in North Sumatra constitutes “aqidah/ Faithful Behavior”, namely the students’ faith in their religion; “Worship behavior”, namely the act of religious rituals in schools; “Almsgiving behavior”, as seen in discipline, cleanliness maintenance, mutual assistance in pluralism; “Ihsan/ Good Deeds Behavior”, namely the students’ sincerity in worships and almsgiving; “Knowledge Behavior”, namely the students’ knowledge of the teachings of their religion. Fourth, the management of excellent schools in North Sumatra in instilling the students’ religious behavior, that is integrated in the humanistic learning approach system, full-day school and boarding school programs.
