Este estudo possui como objetivo relatar uma experiência de qualificação da extensão universitária na área da saúde por meio de estratégias de ensino contemporâneas. Trata-se de um relato de experiência, descritivo e exploratório, com abordagem qualitativa. O campo de estudo para o presente trabalho foi um curso de extensão universitária. Foi neste contexto temático em que se inseriu a experiência de aplicação de duas estratégias de ensino, sendo elas a Brainstorming e o Estudo de Caso. Identificaram-se algumas dificuldades, como a insegurança do professor em utilizar as estratégias em um espaço de ensino diferenciado, contudo, foram superadas no sentido que as estratégias foram bem aceitas pela turma, gerando os resultados esperados para a qualificação profissional.
Neste relato de experiência, buscou-se explicitar as ações em quatro programas de pós-graduação stricto sensu, em nível de Doutorado Profissional, de instituições distintas e que se encontram em fase inicial de desenvolvimento. Foram pesquisadas as especificidades do produto educacional, do acompanhamento da prática profissional, do perfil do egresso e a produção intelectual pretendida pelos programas. Entende-se que o doutorado profissional na área de ensino contribuirá para formar um profissional pesquisador capaz de intervir em seu campo de atuação com habilidade em identificar problemas, retomar os passos metodológicos realizados no decorrer do processo de pesquisa, além da possibilidade de ampliar suas ações de inserção social na educação.
Este trabalho visa socializar contribuições das atividades experimentais para despertar a curiosidade e a investigação pela área das Ciências Exatas. A pesquisa de abordagem qualitativa, caracterizada como um estudo de caso, foi realizada com quatorze estudantes do Ensino Médio, que, durante um ano, participaram de encontros científicos para a realização de atividades experimentais investigativas de Ciências. Eles também participaram do “Aprender Experimentando”, evento em que orientavam e explicavam experimentos aos visitantes. A partir dos relatos dos integrantes e das filmagens de discussões semanais com o grupo, foi possível perceber que as atividades experimentais lhes despertaram o interesse, bem como possibilitaram a aquisição de novos conhecimentos sobre conteúdos de Física, Química e Matemática. As atividades estimularam a criatividade, o trabalho em grupo e o raciocínio lógico, oportunizando aos alunos estabelecerem conexões entre os elementos teóricos e práticos de cada conteúdo.
No cenário contemporâneo ainda convivemos com desigualdades e preconceitos de gênero, seja no mercado de trabalho, nas universidades ou em carreiras científicas. Esse cenário é reflexo de uma cultura patriarcal e machista que naturaliza as diferenças e desigualdades. No campo das Ciências Exatas e Engenharias não é diferente. Estatísticas e estudos mostram que as mulheres são minoria em cursos de graduação ou pós-graduação na área. Também revelam que há um forte desestímulo social e escolar para que meninas escolham essa área. A Chamada 031/2018 do CNPq surge como uma iniciativa pública de fomento para contribuir na reversão dessas estatísticas. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar as principais ações da proposta Meninas na Ciência da Universidade do Vale do Taquari – Univates, problematizando questões de gênero na área das Ciências Exatas e Engenharias. A natureza coletiva deste projeto se reflete também na estrutura deste artigo, que representa vozes, inquietações e iniciativas de muitas meninas e mulheres. As seções dois e três resultam do trabalho de três bolsistas de iniciação científica júnior (ICJ) do CNPq e de bolsista de extensão de projeto vinculado ao Programa de Extensão Ciências Exatas e Engenharias.
Esta pesquisa de carácter qualitativo tem como objetivo apresentar os resultados obtidos em relação à utilização de uma modelagem computacional com o software Modellus num curso de formação continuada para professores da Educação Básica. O curso envolveu doze professores com formação nas áreas de Física, de Matemática e de Ciências Exatas, sendo que uma parte da formação foi destinada para o desenvolvimento de atividades de modelagem computacional envolvendo situações de cinemática, em especial o Movimento Retilíneo Uniforme (MRU). A fundamentação está embasada na modelagem computacional sob a luz de um ensino científico, em que se procura aproximar a forma que se faz ciência com a sala de aula. Os resultados apresentados neste trabalho apontam que de forma geral, a modelagem pode vir a potencializar a construção de aprendizagem do aluno. Em síntese surgiram três resultados relevantes. No curso de formação continuada foi observado que o compartilhamento de experiências de professores que desenvolveram atividades com recursos tecnológicos em sala de aula contribuiu com os professores que ainda não haviam utilizado a se sentirem mais seguros e confiantes, encorajaram os demais a trabalhar nas suas salas de aula atividades com recursos tecnológicos, bem como ao desenvolvimento de trabalhos conjuntos com seus pares durante a formação. Dois professores desenvolveram as atividades do Modellus em suas salas de aula, e apontaram a motivação, a visualização, as representações múltiplas e as aproximações da física com a matemática como principais diferenças quando comparadas com a forma tradicional que faziam. Por último, vale ressaltar as dificuldades técnicas enfrentadas pelos professores: falta de computadores, dificuldade para reservar o laboratório de informática, computadores antigos e internet lenta.
