ABSTRAKSalah satu kendala dalam budi daya tanaman lada ialah penyakit busuk pangkal batang yang disebabkan oleh cendawan Phytophthora capsici. Penelitian dilakukan untuk mengamati peran cendawan mikoriza arbuskula (CMA) terhadap insidensi penyakit busuk pangkal batang pada bibit tanaman lada. Penelitian dilakukan di rumah kasa dan disusun menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan 6 perlakuan, yaitu (1) tanah terinfestasi P. capsici (TPC) sebagai kontrol negatif, (2) tanah steril (TS) sebagai kontrol positif, (3) TPC ditambah 5 g propagul CMA, (4) TPC ditambah 10 g CMA, (5) TPC ditambah 15 g CMA, dan (6) TPC ditambah 20 g CMA. Peubah yang diamati ialah tinggi tanaman, jumlah tunas, insidensi penyakit, persentase infeksi PM pada perakaran tanaman lada, serta kebergantungan tanaman lada terhadap CMA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi 20 g CMA per 10 kg tanah efektif menekan insidensi penyakit busuk pangkal batang dan meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman.Kata kunci: Phytophthora capsici, propagul mikoriza arbuskula, insidensi penyakit ABSTRACT Stem rot or foot rot disease caused by Phytophthora capsici is known as an important constraint on pepper cultivation. Research was conducted to determine the effect of arbuskula mycorhizal fungi (AMF) on incidence of foot rot disease of pepper seedlings. The experiment was done in the net house and arranged using completed randomized design with 6 treatments, i.e. (1) soil infested by P. capsici (TPC) as negative control treatment, (2) sterilized soil (TS) as positive control treatment, (3) TPC with 5 g of AMF, (4) TPC with 10 g AMF, (5) TPC with 15 g AMF, and (6) TPC with 20 g AMF. Observation involved plant height, number of shoots, disease incidence, the percentage of AMF infection on the roots of pepper plants, and pepper plants dependence on AMF. The results showed that the application of AMF at a dose of 20 g per 10 kg of soil effectively suppressed incidence of foot rot disease and improve plant growth.

Effectiveness of botanical insecticide formulations against cocoa pod borer Conopomorpha cramerella (Snell.). Cocoa pod borer (CPB), Conopomorpha cramerella (Lepidoptera: Gracillariidae), is a major pest on cocoa plants. The research aimed atfinding out botanical insecticide formulations that are effective against CPB. Plant materials used for preparing the formulations were cashew nut shell (Anacardium occidentale), whiteflower albizia (Albizia saponari), siam weed (Chromolaena odorata), and candle bush (Senna alata) extract. This research was conducted in the field using a randomized complete block design with the following treatments: formulation of cashew nut shell extract, cashew nut shell extract + whiteflower albizia bark extract, cashew nut shell extract + siam weed leaf extract, cashew nut shell extract + candle bush leaf extract, cashew nut shell extract + whiteflower albizia bark extract + siam weed leaf extract + candle bush leaf extract, and a synthetic insecticide formulation containing a mixture of lambda-cyhalotrin 106 g/L and thiametoxam 141 g/L as well as control (without botanical and synthetic insecticide treatment). The concentration of botanical pesticides applied from cashew nut shell extract used was 2.5 mL/L, while from other ingredients 250 mL/L.Variables observed were intensity of CPB infestation, degree of damage to the cocoa seed, and the efficacy of botanical insecticide treatments. The results showed that the test botanical insecticide formulations reduced the intensity of CPB infestation by 48.9–55.3% and the degree of seed damage by 52.3–58.2% compared with control. The efficacy of the test botanical insecticide formulations in controlling CPB was relatively the same when compared to each other, with a range of efficacy of 64.2–71.0%, but was lower than that of the synthetic insecticide formulation (92.8% efficacy). The implication of this research is that botanical insecticide formulations have the prospect of being continuously developed and have the potential to reduce the used of synthetic insecticides.

AbstrakPenelitian Keanekaragaman Coleoptera dan Araneida di ekosistem Perkebunan Kakao Rakyat Kabupaten Kolaka Timur telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober 2014 – Juni  2015. Tujuannya untuk mengevaluasi kepadatan relatif dan keanekaragaman Coleoptera dan Araneida permukaan tanah. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan di empat kondisi sanitasi kebun yang berbeda, yaitu tanpa sanitasi (TS), sanitasi bersih (SB), sanitasi pohon (SP), dan sanitasi lahan/seresah (SS), dengan luas masing-masing kebun sebesar satu hektar. Penelitian bersifat deskriptif - kuantitatif, dengan metode purposive, dan pengambilan sampel melalui penangkapan langsung dengan tangan, umpan serangga, dan perangkap. Hasilnya, dari ordo Coleoptera diperoleh enam famili yaitu Scarabaeidae, Scolytidae, Staphylinidae, Nitidulidae, Hydrophilidae, Dermestidae dan dari ordo Araneida juga diperoleh enam famili yaitu Salticidae, Thomisidae, Araneidae, Lycosidae, Arachnidae, dan Oxyopidae. Kepadatan relatif tertinggi ordo Coleoptera terdapat di kebun sanitasi bersih, yaitu famili Scolytidae 34,20%, dengan indeks keragaman -0,16. Kepadatan relatif tertinggi dari ordo Araneida juga terdapat di kebun sanitasi bersih yaitu famili Lycosidae 5,20% dengan indeks keragaman -0,018. Kata kunci : Kepadatan relatif, Indeks keanekaragaman, Coleoptera, Araneida  AbstractThe research diversity of Coleoptera and Araneida on the ground of Cocoa smallholder Plantation at East Kolaka was held in October 2014 - June 2015. The objective is to evaluate the relative density and diversity of Coleoptera and ground Araneida. Sampling was carried out in four different gardens sanitary conditions, i.e. without sanitation (TS), clean sanitary (SB), tree sanitary (SP), and land sanitary (SS) with each garden area of one hectare. The study was descriptive, using purposive sampling through direct capture by hand, insect baits and traps. The result, of the order coleoptera obtained six families (Scarabaeidae, Scolytidae, Staphylinidae, Nitidulidae, hydrophilidae, Dermestidae) and six families are Salticidae, Thomisidae, Araneidae, Lycosidae, Arachnidae, dan Oxyopidae of the order Araneida. In the cocoa field with clean sanitation, the highest relative density of the order coleoptera exhibited by the family Scolytidae 34.20%, with a diversity index -0.16 and the highest relative density of the order araneida exhibited by the familiy Lycosidae 5.20% with a diversity index -0.018. Keywords: Relative density, Diversity index, Coleoptera, Araneida

Since the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Education and Culture has shifted the assessment mode from face-to-face into online assessment following the policy of online teaching and learning process. This conversion can essentially encourage the lecturers in higher education to reflect on and improve their assessment methods that are novel, stimulating, and practical for them. On the other hand, various kinds of challenges are likely to encounter by lecturers in carrying out the online assessment. This study aims to find out the challenges of online assessment in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic disruption, and the solutions to meet these challenges. Qualitative method in a case study design was used to achieve the objectives of this study. The data were collected through in-depth interview and observation from two EFL lecturers at a state university in Palembang as the participants. The data were analysed by using thematic analysis. The findings revealed five primary challenges of online assessment: uneasiness, technical problems, time-consuming process, late submission, and academic dishonesty. Komunikasi transendental adalah bentuk komunikasi antara Tuhan dan manusia menggunakan media metafisik. Ini mendeskripsikan konsep dasar manusia sebagai mahluk sosial yang indentik dengan keterbatasannya dalam melangsungkan kehidupan, maka dari itu membangun komunikasi antara sesama manusia dan Tuhan atau komunikasi vertikal maupun horizontal adalah sesuatu yang harus dilakukan oleh setiap individu dan masyarakat sekaligus menggambarkan sikap manusia yang humanis. Pola interaksi antar manusia dengan Tuhan senantiasa membawah manusia atau individu merepresentasi menjadi manusia yang pari purna. Salah satu bentuk praktik komunikasi transendental adalah dapat dijumpai ketika orang-orang melakukan ibadah atau ritual tertentu. Dalam praktek masyarakat Islam komunikasi transendental selain dari ibadah sholat, perilaku masyarakat yang mendatangi makam-makam para leluhur juga berupa membaca doa atau bertawassul lainnya itu juga merupakan bentuk dari praktik komunikasi transendental. Tesis ini merupakan hasil penelitian dilapangan dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografis, proses pengumpulan data dimulai dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Proses analisis data dimulai dengan pengumpulan data, display data lalu verivikasi. Tesis ini menyimpulkan bahwa pemaknaan para pendukung ziarah makam Rea tersebut sebagai makam wali Allah, makam memiliki karomah, makam leluhur, dan pada pola komunikasi transendental terlihat pada aktivitas tawassul dan tabarruk.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pupuk hayati Biofresh dan bahan organik Bokashi dalam meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman jagung terhadap penyakit karat daun Puccinia (Puccinia polysora). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Konda I, Kecamatan Konda, Kabupaten Konawe Selatan. Metode Percobaan menggunakan Rancakan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Pola Faktorial yang terdiri dari 8 kombinasi perlakuan dan ulangan 3 kali sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Parameter yang diamati adalah Intensitas Penyakit (IP) karat daun Puccinia, LDBKPP, IPP, dan Analisis Aktivitas Enzim Peroksidase. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi pupuk hayati Biofresh dan bahan organik Bokashi mampu meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap pengakit karat daun Puccinia pada tanaman jagung. Nilai LDBKPP terendah pada perlakuan A1B1 sebesar 220,37%.hari, IPP tertinggi pada perlakuan A1B1 sebesar 51,74% dan aktivitas enzim peroksidase tertinggi pada perlakuan A1B1 sebesar 0,13 unit.mg–1.
