This study aimed to review IDCP's (Dimensional Clinical Personality Inventory) Isolation dimension. Its method was divided into two Parts, the fi rst of which focused on developing new items based on literature, and the second one tested the new set of items' psychometric properties. IDCP, the Revised NEO Personality Inventory (NEO-PI-R), and Personality Inventory for DSM-5 (PID-5) were applied in a population of 213 subjects aged between 18 and 69 years old (M= 25.56, SD= 8.70), most of which were women (74.3%). Part I resulted in a total of 39 items, including 28 new ones. Part II resulted in a total of 18 items in four interpretable factors based on internal structure analysis. Items were: Individualism, Social Isolation, Intimacy Avoidance and Emotional Apathy. These items presented total internal consistency coeffi cient of .88 and individual factor internal consistency coeffi cient higher than .75. Dimension correlations to NEO-PI-R and PID-5 showed coherent and expected numbers. Data show this new IDCP Isolation dimension to be acceptable. Keywords: Psychological assessment, personality traits, psychometrics, personality disorders, DSM-5.

Personality disorders are regarded as conditions that involve a maladaptive personality functioning. Homelessness is a worldly debated phenomenon. The present study aimed to understand the situation of homelessness related to the health sector, instead of considering it only as a social or economic problem. Research was conducted with three different groups, male and female, living in a Metropolitan area of Southeast Brazil, the first composed of 71 homeless people; the second, 74 psychiatric patients; and the third, 250 college students that completed the Personality Disorders Dimensional Inventory (IDTP). A logit regression model and ROC curve were used to analyse data. Results showed that homeless people scored higher in all dimensions, especially Antisocial and Schizotypal, compared with the other groups. Although the number of participants was reduced to only one part of the country, as well as the correlational design preventing clearer causal inferences, the results of this research call the attention for the need of new investigations to homeless people's mental health, aiming to focus on public health policies that could deal with the problem.
The internal structure is investigated in mental health measures, exploring or confirming the association of stimuli composing the test and whether this structure is consistent with expectation. Our focus is on the internal structure of the Dimensional Clinical Personality Inventory 2 (idcp-2), a self-report test for pathological traits measurement. Previous studies have only partially verified the internal structure of idcp-2. The objective of this study is to verify the internal structure of idcp-2, contemplating in the same analysis all its dimensions and factors. Participants were 2,000 people from the general population. We conducted confirmatory (cfa) and exploratory (efa) factorial analyzes, including bifactor models. The results showed the bifactor model with 12 specific factors with best fit indices. The internal consistency for the general factor was above .90, and from .40 to .91 for the specific factors. Findings suggested the original solution of idcp-2 is reasonable using a bifactor model.
