Abstract-A robust genetic circuit optimizer using Unscented Transform and Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm-II is presented. The algorithm provides significant decrease in computational cost compared to Monte Carlo method. This transform permits the circuit performance uncertainties determination from components uncertainties, thus, a search through robustness can be done. Results shows reduced computational costs, the many possibilities provided to circuit designer by the multi-objective search and assumptions that can be done in a Doherty power amplifier study with the optimizer.

Having the property to modify only the geometry of a polygonal structure, preserving its physical magnitudes, the Conformal Mapping is an exceptional tool to solve electromagnetism problems with known boundary conditions. This work aims to introduce a new developed mathematical operator, based on polynomial extrapolation. This operator has the capacity to accelerate an optimization method applied in conformal mappings, to determinate the equipotential lines, the field lines, the capacitance, and the permeance of some polygonal geometry electrical devices with an inner dielectric of permittivityε. The results obtained in this work are compared with other simulations performed by the software of finite elements method, Flux2D.

This paper presents a methodology to calculate the value of Carter's factor for airgaps with polygonal slots. A numerical evaluation of the Schwarz-Christoffel transformation is performed using Genetic Algorithms. The methodology presented here extends Carter's method to airgaps with more complicated geometry. Some case studies compare the results of the developed methodology to Carter's results.

This paper presents a hybrid evolutionary algorithm to synthesize the resonator filters of an arbitrary topology. In this approach the structure space is explored concerning predefined small building-blocks having specific functionalities (resonator or coupling) and rules for structural restrictions. The method used 2D representation, proposing new strong genetic operators and combining a biobejctive evolutionary algorithm to evolve topologies and local search to improve the circuit parameters. The results showed that the proposed method generates, with small populations and few generations, small well-structured circuits which accomplish the specifications. Two examples using building-blocks with elements R/L/C are presented and the characteristics were consistent with those circuits obtained by the conventional approach.
