The Sterculia striata ethanolic extract (Ss-EtOH) inhibited gastric lesions induced by ethanol, HCl/ethanol, and ischemia/reperfusion, but not those induced by indomethacin, and did not alter the gastric secretion. Ss-EtOH restored the catalase activity and content of nonprotein sulfhydryl groups in the stomach of mice treated with ethanol. The gastroprotection induced by Ss-EtOH in the ethanol-induced gastric lesion model was abolished by NG-nitro- L-arginine methyl ester (L-NAME) pretreatment, suggesting the involvement of nitric oxide and antioxidant compounds, but not prostaglandins, in this activity. Lupeol obtained from Ss-EtOH promoted gastroprotection as well as the extract at the same dose, and it must therefore contribute to the observed effects
The present research aimed to evaluate in silico the pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics and toxicity of syringic and ursolic acids isolated from Actinidia delicious and to analyze the mechanism that underlies its performance in cholesterol reduction comparing them with the drug simvastatin. The PreADME online server was used to evaluate the pharmacokinetic and toxicological profile through the molecular structure-activity and the AutodockVina software to study the pharmacodynamics and pharmacological potential of molecular interactions. The ADME data obtained for the syringic and ursolic acids were similar to those for simvastatin, in the analysis of the molecular docking it was evidenced that the results were approximate between the tested molecules, however the ursolic acid overlapped with greater interaction stability with the biological target when compared to simvastatin. It was possible to observe from the results that the evaluated compounds are qualified for subsequent in vitro and in vivo tests for a more in-depth study of their anti-hyperlipemic action.
The present study aimed to analyze in silico the pharmacokinetic and toxicological properties of quercetin flavonoid isolated from Bixa orellana seeds in order to observe the feasibility of this metabolite as a candidate for non-treatment of dyslipidemia. In addition, to endorse pharmacodynamics by means of molecular docking at HMG-CoA be reduced or by comparing as a reference drug sinvastatin and proposed or according to its mechanism of ação. For a pharmacokinetic and toxicological analysis, use the PreADMET online server and perform the predições as a basis for the structure and activity of molecules. A pharmacodynamic analysis was carried out by means of computational docking using AutoDock Vina software to obtain molecular structures and energy from target-ligand complexation. According to two ADME results, a quercetin shows pharmacokinetic and toxicological results next to sinvastatin. Either molecular docking indicou or energy value of binding of the most stable pose to the flavonoid and the target being –8.8 kcal / mol while that with sinvastatin presented the energy of –6.6 kcal / mol, evidencing that quercetin binds more stabilization of the active agent or commercial drug. A variation of the relationship between the two statistically significant binders with P <0.0001 indicating or complex quercetin-HMG-CoA was reduced as statistically more stable. I suggest that you check in vitro studies in order to confirm the ability to open HMG-CoA in order to understand the hypolipidemic effect.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
