This research aims to: (1) Identified and analyzed the factors that would influences external and internal environment of SME’s in order to maintain their competitive advantages; (2) to found and analyzed what kind of effort that SME’s and government does in order to maintain and supporting the competitive advantage of SME’s at Gorontalo; (3) to analyzed the competitive advantage strategy of SME’s to winning the competition. The method used in this research is a survey method by doing data collection from interviewing, observation, and questionnaire spread up. Analysis doing by identified current external and internal environment, until move to the particular circumstances of competitive advantage strategy in the future. In order to formulating the competitive advantage strategy, researcher used SWOT analysis. The result shown, to achieve competitive advantage between competitors, SME’s must use “aggressive“ Strategy which is by decreasing a cost, create new product, quality improvement, market expansion. In addition another strategy based on SWOT matrix that could used to achieve competitive advantage are: create a fresh business plan; get more credit to have more capital; fixing and improving product quality; labor insurance (work safety); enter and conquer the market; service quality improvement; and promotion intensity.
This study aims at finding out the actual condition of community empowerment activity and improvement of productive economic activities through village funds financing and gaining information on Village Funds management to increase productive economy in the village level. This is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach using Milles and Huberman as its method of analysis. This study finds that village funds financing is able to improve people's welfare. This is evident from various achievement of the government of Bone Bolango regency. The success of this village funds in improving people's welfare has made the central government to increase the village allocation funds for this regency annually. This village allocation fund is distributed through two channels: 1) direct disbursement for productive economic activities (grant), (2) fund disbursement for productive economic activity through Village Owned Enterprise (Hereinafter will be referred as BUMDes). To optimize this village funds management, several strategic steps such as: 1) increasing the capacity of village institution; 2). Establishment of Business Units as a joint working group needs to be done.
The ever-changing business environment, competition of similar industries and the presence of new entrant industries and exacerbated by the pandemic condition COVID 19 is very demanding for companies in improving management capabilities and the application of good business strategies to survive and achieve competitive advantages of the company. This research was conducted to determine the influence of management capabilities by focusing on the implementation of strategies on IMK business performance. This research was conducted in micro small business (IMK) food industry in Gorontalo who is also the owner and manager of small and medium embroidery industry at PT Jawa Timur. The method used in this study is a survey method with a research population is a businessman / owner of IMK with a sample number of 377 people the method of sampling research is Non-Probability with purposive sampling techniques. The research uses quantitative approach with PLS (Partial Least Square) analysis tool. The results showed that 1). Management capabilities have a significant impact on business strategy and directly affect business performance; 2). Business strategy has proven to have a significant positive effect in mediating the influence of management capabilities on business performance
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal terhadap keunggulan bersaing Industri Mikro Kecil (IMK) di Kota Gorontalo (Studi Pada Industri Kerajinan Karawo di Kota Gorontalo) secara parsial maupun simultan. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan kuesioner. Adapun jumlah sampel sebanyak 46 orang. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini yakni analisis kuantitatif inferensial regresi berganda. Hasil Penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) Lingkungan internal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing pada Industri Mikro Kecil (IMK) kerajinan Karawo di Kota Gorontalo dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 15,00%. (2) Lingkungan eksternal berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing pada Industri Mikro Kecil (IMK) kerajinan Karawo di Kota Gorontalo dengan nilai koefisien determinasi sebesar 29,10%. (3) Lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal secara bersama-sama berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keunggulan bersaing pada Industri Mikro Kecil (IMK) kerajinan Karawo di Kota Gorontalo. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa adanya dampak yang baik dari lingkungan internal dan lingkungan eksternal dalam meningkatkan keunggulan bersaing pada Industri Mikro Kecil (IMK) kerajinan Karawo di Kota Gorontalo. Hasil koefisien determinasi yakni sebesar 44,10% sehingga determinasi pada keunggulan bersaing dapat pula dijelaskan oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini yakni promosi, persepsi konsumen dan inovasi pada produk Karawo.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mengambarkan inovasi produk berpengaruh parsial terhadap keputusan pembelian DKI Martabak Mini, untuk (2) menggambarkan harga berpengaruh parsial terhadap proses keputusan pembelian DKI Martabak Mini, untuk (3) menggambarkan inovasi produk dan harga berpengaruh secara simultan terhadap proses keputusan pembelian DKI Martabak Mini. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 96 konsumen yang secara tidak sengaja bertemu dengan peneliti dengan cara menyebar kuesioner kepada responden yang telah memenuhi kriteria sampel yang telah ditentukan sehingga data dalam penelitian ini merupakan data primer. Analisis data dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara parsial (1) Inovasi produk berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian DKI Martabak Mini Kota Gorontalo, (2) Harga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian DKI Martabak Mini Kota Gorontalo, (3) Inovasi produk dan Harga berpengaruh signifikan terhadap Keputusan Pembelian DKI Martabak Mini Kota Gorontalo. Kemudian nilai R square adalah sebesar 0,534. Nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa sebesar 53,4% variable Keputusan Pembelian DKI Martabak Mini Kota Gorontalo dapat dijelaskan oleh Inovasi produk dan Harga, sedangkan sisanya sebesar 46,6% dapat dijelaskan oleh variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.
The study aims to determine the effect of partially or simultaneously the brand image of SMI products, investment through government capital assistance and zakat routines to increase the sales volume of IKM food processed products in Gorontalo Regency. The results showed (1) Simultaneously the brand image of IKM products, investment through government capital assistance and zakat routines simultaneously had a significant effect on the increase in sales volume of IKM food processed products in Gorontalo Regency.(2) partially brand image has a significant positive effect on the increase in sales volume of SMI food processed products in Gorontalo Regency. Investment through government capital assistance has not a significant positive effect on the increase in the sales volume of SMI food processed products in Gorontalo Regency. Zakat routine has a significant positive effect on the increase in the sales volume of SMI processed food products in Gorontalo Regency.
This study aims to analyze and know the role of management capability and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance through business strategy in the micro and small food industry (IMK) in Gorontalo Province. The population is all business people/owners of IMK in Gorontalo Province, with a total sample of 377 respondents. This study applies a non-probability method using purposive sampling and proportionate stratified random sampling techniques. Furthermore, this study uses PLS (Partial Least Square) to analyze the data. The findings show that Management capability has a significant positive effect on business strategy and has a significant positive effect on business performance. Entrepreneurial orientation has a significant positive effect on business strategy and has a significant positive effect on business performance. Business strategy is proven to have a significant positive effect in mediating the effect of management capability and entrepreneurial orientation on business performance. Thus, the theoretical and managerial implication is that all variables involved in this study have a positive and significant direct and indirect influence on business performance. This research is expected to provide understanding and knowledge for Gorontalo food SMEs and local governments in terms of increasing competitive advantage. and IKM business performance can be done through the implementation of entrepreneurial orientation, management skills, and business strategies.
