The present study investigates how to implement multiple e-learning technologies on practicing TOEFL PBT Section 2, Structure and Written Expression, and its effectiveness. It is a case study at Indonesian Railway Polytechnic. The participants were 48 students of the Railway Mechanical Technology program observed during eight online TOEFL practising classes. The data were collected using observation note to describe the implementation of e-learning technologies, comparing each score to determine the effectiveness of the technologies and a questionnaire to identify students’ feedback. The findings identified how to implement multiple e-learning technologies on practicing TOEFL PBT Section 2 in which effective to increase students’ TOEFL score; those technologies were regarded as interesting media on practicing TOEFL structure and written expression and received more positive feedbacks than the drawback from the students of Railway Mechanical Technology program. These imply that implementing multiple e-learning technologies on practicing TOEFL structure and written expression enhances students’ learning outcomes. HIGHLIGHTS: Multiple e-learning technologies enhance students’ learning outcomes in TOEFL PBT Section 2, structure and written expression. Quizizz, Kahoot!, Socrative, and Google Forms are interesting media on practicing TOEFL Structure and Written Expression. The fourth e-learning technologies receive more positive feedbacks than the drawback from the students in on practicing TOEFL PBT section 2.
Probiotics are foods or drinks that contain live bacteria that benefit or benefit health, whereas prebiotic is a foodstuff that is not digestible by digestive enzymes and can support the growth of good bacteria in the intestines. The magnitude of probiotic food benefits and prebiotics for health as reported by Healthline, prebiotic food and probiotics are effective for treating diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, allergic disorders, but the enrichment regarding probiotic and prebiotic food is very lacking. This activity aims to improve the knowledge of the probiotic food benefits and prebiotics for health. . PkM was held in the village Sidamulya Wanasari Kabupeten Brebes subdistrict in November 2019. The subject that follows the activity of 25 mothers-Ibu Posyandu Kader Sidamulya Village. This activity consists of 3 stages including: preparation stage, implementation stage and interview stage. Data obtained from pretests and posttest results and discussions. Results of this activity is an increase in the knowledge of mothers about the benefits of food probiotics and prebiotic for health, there is an increase from 4% to 68%.
One of the railway facilities uses stainless steel as the main construction material. The method of joining stainless steel materials, especially the most widely used is the SMAW welding technique. The purpose of this study was to determine the tensile strength of SMAW welding joints on stainless steel 304 material with variations in diameter of rod filler as filler material an d variations in current from DC inverter electric welding machine. The diameter of rod filler as filler material is 1 mm, 2 mm and 3 mm. The variation of the current of the DC inverter of the electric welding machine is 70 A, 100 A and 120 A. The results show the highest tensile strength of the 304 stainless steel welded connection with an average tensile stress of 34.48 MPa on the current electric welding inverter. 120 A is used and the diameter of the rod filler is 2 mm. And the tensile strength of the welding connection of the 304 stainless steel material is the lowest with an average tensile stress of 17.01 MPa at the electric welding inverter current used is 70 A and the diameter of the rod filler is 3 mm.Keyword: SMAW welding, filler, current and stainless steel
Kunci keselamatan dalam berkendara adalah berkendara dengan disiplin, menghormati pengendara lain, dan beretika saat berkendara. Sampai saat ini masih terdapat pengendara yang kurang memperhatikan kunci keselamatan berkendara. Hal ini dikarenakan masyarakat belum sadar akan pentingnya pengetahuan mengenai keselamatan berkendara. Oleh karena itu, perlu adanya cara yang efektif untuk mengedukasi masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengetahuan keselamatan berkendara melalui kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan melakukan sosialisasi keselamatan perkeretaapian di SDN Ngujung II Magetan. Sosialisasi ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi para siswa untuk mengetahui aspek hukum perkeretaapian dan semboyan perkeretaapian. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan siswa SDN Ngujung II Magetan dapat memahami aspek hukum perkeretaapian dan semboyan perkeretaapian.
The community service about training in using Mendeley application as a citation and reference manager instrument in writing article for university students in Madiun aims to share knowledge for academicians in writing article citation and reference manager using Mendeley. The participants of this community service are the university students in Madiun. This activity was done through discussion and simulation in Zoom meeting. It was started with planning and socialization for a month through social media. The simulation was done through Zoom meeting in a day. Evaluation of this activity was done by giving questionnaire for all participants at the end of the training. The results of the evaluation showed that the training of article citation and reference manager in writing article benefits for the university students in writing appropriate APA 7th edition-citation.
In the manufacturing industry, the cutting process, especially lathes, has developed rapidly, one of which is in the rail transportation industry sector. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cutting parameters and the nose radius of the W-style insert tool on the level of surface roughness in the turning process of S45C steel. This research uses experimental research methods. In this study, using a variation of cutting parameters and nose radius. Variations in cutting parameters using cutting speeds of 195 Rpm, 300 Rpm and 440 Rpm. Variation of the depth of cut 1 mm and 2 mm. Variation of feed speed 0.1 mm / rev, 0.2 mm / rev and 0.3 mm / rev. While the variation of the nose tool radius for inserting W-style is 0.4 mm and 0.8 mm. After turning the surface roughness test was carried out using the Surface Roughness Tester. The results of this study indicate that the increasing cutting speed and nose radius of the insert tool, decreasing feeding velocity and cutting depth results in good surface quality. Locomotive CC 206 is the newest locomotive owned by PT Kereta Api Indonesia. Inside the CC 206 locomotive is equipped with a sophisticated smart display that can monitor all size parameters and damage to the locomotive itself. One of the capabilities of the CC 206 locomotive is the pop test. Pop test is the ability of the CC 206 locomotive to test the performance of each cylinder of the diesel engine. Based on the pop test results, there are various disturbances that often occur during maintenance of the CC 206 locomotive diesel engine.The purpose of this analysis is to analyze the pop test results as a reliability parameter on the CC 206 locomotive diesel engine, to analyze the factors causing the disturbance in the pop test results and analyze the effect of the failure of the pop test results on performance. Based on the results of the pop test, it was found that one of the cylinders was abnormal because the injector was under pressure, the injector spring was damaged and there was a clogged nozzle. Sistem suspensi merupakan komponen penting dalam kendaraan, karena berfungsi sebagai peredam getaran bagi kendaraan ketika dikendarai oleh penggunanya. Ada beberapa jenis sistem suspensi yang diterapkan pada kendaraan. Salah satu komponen yang paling penting dalam meredam getaran adalah karet. Pembuatan suspensi karet dimulai dari perencanaan. Perencanaan ini meliputi proses desain dan pemilihan material. Desain karet menggunakan software autodesc inventor dengan memperhatikan kekuatan karet. Desain lebih menitik beratkan pada kekuatan karet ketika menerima beban. Lori inspeksi dirancang dengan kecepatan operasional 20 Km/jam dan kecepatan maksimum 25 Km/jam. Pemilihan bahan dengan menggunakan beberapa campuran bahan kimia dan karet alam yang dominan untuk menambah kekuatan karet. Pembuatan karet dilakukan di tempat industri karet CV Juwahir Berdikari yang berada di Gorang gareng kabupaten Magetan. Dengan beberapa tahapan proses yang membutuhkan mesin khusus untuk menghasilkan produk dari karet. Proses produksi tersebut dimulai dari pencampuran komposisi bahan karet, penyiapan cetakan karet, dan pengepresan kemudian finishing. Hasil dari pembuatan karet akan dipasang di chasis lori inspeksi.
