Fur Reaktivitgtsstudien erschienen uns jedoch Dreikerncluster, speziell solche rnit Rh(C0)3-Baueinheiten, vorteilhafter. Bis in die jiingste Zeit sind jedoch kaum gezielte Untersuchungen zur Heterometall-Reaktivitiit a n Clustern vorgenommen worden I.'), etwas mehr schon a n Hetero-Zweikernkomplexen -'I.Selbst iiber das einfachste Studienobjekt, die ortsspezihsche CO-Substitution in Clustern, gibt es bisher nur wenige Arbeiten I. Als Site Specific Substitutions at Mixed Metal ClustersThe phosphane substitution chemistry was investigated for (p3-2-butyne)FeCodCOb and for the clusters (p3-X)RuCo2(C0)9 with X = alkyne, vinylidene, sulfur, and phosphinidene. In the case of the FeCoz cluster Co-substitution was observed exclusively. For the RuCo2 clusters Co-as well as Ru-substituted products were isolated, of which in all cases the Co-substituted one is kinetically favoured and the Ru-substituted one thermodynamically favoured. The thermally induced Co-Ru migrati...
Alkyne-Bridged Tetranuclear Clusters by Expansion of Trinuclear ClustersUnder photochemical activation Fe2(CO)9 is a suitable reagent for the expansion of alkyne-bridged trinuclear clusters [1][2][3][4][5][6][7] FeCo2, FeNi2, RuCo,, FeCoNi, RuCoNi, RuCoMo) Die in dieser Arbeit benutzten Aufbaureagenzien Fez-(CO), und RhCp(CO)z sind gelaufig als Ausgangsverbindungen zur Synthese ein-und mehrkerniger Organometallkomplexe.
The photochemical generation of M(CO)3 fragments from simple carbonyl complexes and their addition to X = Y‐bridged trinuclear clusters provides a general route to tetranuclear clusters having butterfly structures. The detailed structure depends on the kind of unsaturated ligands XY and their electron count (see picture). Such a cluster expansion should change the reactivity of the ligands XY, thereby allowing preparatively useful transformations.
These and the homologous RuCo2 clusters could be subjected to the reaction types metal exchange and alkyne-vinylidene rearrangement. Combination of both reaction types in the appropriate sequence yielded altogether 16 new hetero trinuclear clusters with p3-alkyne ligands and 29 corresponding compounds with p3-vinylidene ligands. Internal alkynes RzCz with R = Me, Et, Ph and terminal alkynes HCzR with R = H, Me, t-Bu, Ph were used; the latter were also the precursors of the corresponding vinylidene ligands. The resulting metal frameworks were of the FeCoNi, FeCoMo, FeCoW, RuCoNi, RuCoMo, RuCoW, FeNi2, and FeCo2 types. The alkyne-vinylidene rearrangements on...
