Resumen Tras una revisión bibliográfica exhaustiva sobre los regímenes de crecimiento económico, se desarrolla un modelo econométrico para determinar el régimen de crecimiento de 16 economías de América Latina entre 1950–2012 a partir de datos estadísticos sobre la participación de la masa salarial y de las ganancias en el PIB. Se analiza la evolución de la distribución factorial del ingreso respecto al crecimiento económico durante el periodo y se concluye que la mayor parte de las economías de la región tienen regímenes basados en salarios, por lo que las políticas redistributivas a favor de la masa salarial son positivas para el crecimiento económico.
RESUMENEn este artículo se construyen las series de la participación salarial en el producto interno bruto (pib) de 15 economías de América Latina y la correspondiente al conjunto de estas entre 1950-2010. Se determina, con diferentes metodologías, la tendencia no lineal de esta variable, corroborando la presencia de dos grandes ciclos. Se incluye una discusión de diversos autores, especialmente clásicos y postkeynesianos, que exploran la vinculación de esta variable con el nivel de actividad económica. Asimismo, se demuestra la pertinencia del enfoque postkeynesiano para explicar que las variaciones del pib real están determinadas por la participación salarial, la formación bruta de capital y las exportaciones de bienes y servicios, entre las principales variables. Sin embargo, la contribución de la variación de la participación salarial al crecimiento del producto real es menos importante a partir de los años ochenta. En ambos casos se trata de curvas sinusoidales que comparten una historia regional común, pero en las que las particularidades de cada economía son importantes. Asimismo, se determina cómo la participación regional de los salarios contribuye de manera directa y positiva al crecimiento económico en el periodo , mientras que su contribución es negativa entre 1980-2014. El mayor nivel que se presenta se da en la década de los sesenta. <p>La distribución del ingreso factorial, personal y de la riqueza en Perú es altamente inequitativa. La participación salarial muestra un mayor nivel en los años sesenta como ocurre a nivel internacional, y mejora a partir de los años noventa, pero sin<br />alcanzar el estándar anterior. El coeficiente Gini del ingreso personal corregido supera la tendencia oficial. Los niveles de desigualdad en la distribución de la riqueza productiva y los activos son mayores a los de la distribución personal del ingreso, de conformidad a la literatura internacional. Se elabora un proxy de la distribución de riqueza considerando los depósitos de las personas físicas y empresas en el sistema financiero nacional. Algunos de los resultados se comparan con otras economías latinoamericanas.</p>
