This study aims to describe the implementation and barriers of Indonesian language learning for autistic children at the SLB Mitra Ananda Colomadu. This research is a qualitative descriptive study where the subjects were two class teachers and four grade VII autistic students at SLB Mitra Ananda. Data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of Indonesian language learning at the Ananda Colomadu Partner Autism SLB used the ABA and Individual Learning Program (PPI) methods tailored to the students' abilities. The 2013 curriculum is difficult to implement because the limited Indonesian language learning materials did not meet the child's conditions. Various efforts have been made by the teacher to overcome these obstacles: using PPI, creating independent learning media, and learning the latest methods that are applicable to learn Indonesian for autistic children.[Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan hambatan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk anak autis di SLB Autis Mitra Ananda Colomadu. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah dua guru kelas dan empat siswa autis kelas VII di SLB Autis Mitra Ananda. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SLB Autis Mitra Ananda Colomadu menggunakan metode ABA dan Program Pembelajaran Individual (PPI) yang disesuaikan dengan kemampuan siswa. Kurikulum 2013 tidak dapat diterapkan sepenuhnya karena materi pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia yang tidak sesuai dengan kondisi anak dan media pembelajaran yang terbatas. Berbagai upaya dilakukan guru untuk mengatasi hambatan terebut: misalnya menggunakan PPI, membuat media pembelajaran mandiri dan mempelajari berbagai metode terbaru yang dapat diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia untuk anak autis.]
This study aims to determine the implementation of special education management at Special School for Autism. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The speakers in this research are the principal and two teachers at Special School for Autism in Karanganyar. Data were collected by interview, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using Miles and Huberman models. There are three steps in this model, namely data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The implementation of special education management at Special School for Autism in coordination by a principal. In planning educational programs, tailored to the ability of each autistic student using IEP (Individual Educational Program). The school has an organizational structure that works in accordance with its duties. The principal is in charge of coordinating school management, while the teacher is responsible for the management of the class. Special School for Autism is a recently established school. The condition of autistic students who have different characteristics, the location of the foundation's office with the school is very far away, and the entry of students with different disorder conditions with autistic students makes the implementation of education management in Special School for Autism not running optimally. Therefore, schools have made efforts to minimize these barriers.
Children with special needs are children who have abnormalities in him, thus causing the individual has a need to be tailored to their specific characteristics. Abnormalities of children with special needs, impact on the immediate environment of children, namely family. Many cases of divorce in parents who have children with special needs. The cause may be possible because of negative parents' perceptions of children, low acceptance and resilience in parents with special needs children. Divorced parents have a negative impact on the education of children with special needs, because they lose the ability to fully play a parent in fulfilling the rights of the child. One solution in dealing with divorce that occurs in parents who have children with special needs is to use family counseling and divorce therapy. Handling is expected to minimize the negative impact of divorce parents of children with special needs and prevent the occurrence of divorce cases in other families who have children with special needs.
Mathematics is an important subject to be learned by all children. Visually impaired children experience obstacles in following the process of mathematics learning caused by abnormalities. Visually impaired students experience obstacles in the process of thinking at the disequilibrium stage and low understanding of concepts when studying mathematics. It caused them to experience difficulties when doing math problems. Assistive technology is a technology created specifically to improve or maintain the functional ability of children with special needs in order to accomplish tasks that hard for them to do. Assistive technology for visually impaired children is made by maximizing the abilities that the children still possess and helping them to get a clearer mathematical concept. This article is a literary study which aims to provide information about the difficulty for the visually impaired students in mathematics learning and assistive technologies that have been developed to support the learning. This article can be used as the basis for developing new assistive technology in mathematics learning. Assistive technology is needed to help children with visual impairment in following the learning of mathematics and to optimize the ability of the children in learning mathematics.
<p>Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pelaksanaan konseling individu untuk menumbuhkan kepercayaan diri orang tua yang memiliki anak autis di SLB Autis Mitra Ananda Colomadu. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang mana peneliti menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan hasil temuan. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah orang tua anak autis. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, dan observasi, metode analisis data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis interaktif dan keabsahan data menggunakan metode trianggulasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konseling individu menggunakan teknik REBT dapat membuat orang tua sadar bahwa anaknya membutuhkan dukungan dari orang tuanya. Karena salah satu keberhasilan terapi untuk anak autis adalah dukungan dari orang tuanya. Dengan teknik logotherapy klien mulai memberikan nilai pada keadaan yang dia punya serta klien sadar akan karunia Tuhan yang diberikan kepadanya, dan dengan teknik humanistik, klien mulai mampu menerima kondisi anaknya. Hal tersebut membuat klien memiliki kepercayaan diri sebagai orang tua yang memiliki anak autis.</p><br /><em>The purpose of this study is to know how the process of individual counseling implementation to foster self-confidence of parents who have children with autism in SLB Autis Mitra Ananda Colomadu. This type of research is descriptive qualitative in which the researcher describes and describes the findings. Subjects in this study were parents of children with autism. Data collection techniques using interviews, and observation, data analysis methods used in this study is interactive analysis and data validity using data triangulation method. The results of this study indicate that individual counseling using REBT techniques can make parents aware that their children need support from their parents. Because one of the successes of therapy for children with autism is support from their parents. With the logotherapy technique the client begins to give value to the circumstances that he has as well as the client is conscious of God's gift given to him, and by humanistic techniques, the client begins to be able to accept his child's condition. This makes the client has confidence as parents who have children with autism.</em>
