Ce travail présente l’historique de l’enseignement de la lecturecompréhension en français, à l’Université de Buenos Aires où cette modalité a été adoptée il y a un demi-siècle environ. L’auteur analyse les grands moments méthodologiques qui ont permis le passage d’une approche basée sur la traduction à la perspective actionnelle aujourd’hui promue par le Cadre européen commun de référence du Conseil de l’Europe. On observe des continuités et des ruptures au niveau des références théoriques et des pratiques de classe, on établit des liens avec le français sur objectif(s) spécifique(s) et on accorde une place privilégiée à la notion de « tâche de lecture ». Ce concept, construit à partir des données du terrain et des principes de l’interactionnisme socio- discursif nous aide à dépasser le rôle instrumental et réducteur souvent attribué à la lecture en langue étrangère. Par ailleurs, il nous permet de réinsérer le processus lecteur dans sa voie de pratique sociale car l’apprenant est invité à entrer dans le jeu de la communication grâce à une action qui résout un problème spécifique du contexte où les écrits circulent.
Conventions de transcription ... : pauses et silences (XXX) : commentaires, traductions de l'espagnol ou formes corre ctes en français. « XXX » : mots en espagnol. /XXX/ : transcriptions phonétiques. XXX : phénomène étudié. 1 Notre travail est centré sur l'étude des variables discursives des interventions du locuteur enseignant (en position d'Intervieweur-Professeur-Chercheur) et du locuteur apprenant (en position d'Interviewé-Apprenant-Informateur) et la manière dont ces variables déterminent le discours de l'autre dans le cadre d'un processus d'acquisition en milieu institutionnel. Nous nous sommes penchées sur le rôle de l'interaction des participants dans la construction de leurs discours pris dans leur évolution, c'est-à-dire l'influence des manifestations discursives, linguistiques et para-linguistiques d'un sujet parlant sur le discours de l'autre. 2 Nous avons travaillé à partir d'un corpus constitué dans le cadre d'une recherche commencée à Buenos Aires : « Le rôle de la langue maternelle dans le processus d'acquisition-apprentissage d'une langue étrangère par des étudiants débutants en milieu institutionnel ». Ce corpus comprend des entretiens réalisés par des professeurs/chercheurs avec quatre apprenants tous les trois mois au cours d'une année d'apprentissage, au total huit heures d'enregistrement. Dans ces entretiens, le professeur interviewe l'apprenant pour susciter la production libre du discours en vue de l'étude de la construction du lexique en langue étrangère.
Au long de ces vingt-trois Journées, nous avons eu une moyenne de 60-80 participants par Journée, entre enseignants d'écoles de langue et de Centres d'Étude de Langues, des étudiants en Lettres, ainsi que des professeurs et des formateurs.À partir de la quinzième journée, en 2017, nous avons proposé une organisation en deux journées : la Journée de Formation à l'USP, le vendredi, et les Rencontres du Français, le samedi, organisées avec le partenariat de l'APFESP (Association des professeurs de français de l'état de São Paulo) et du Lycée Pasteur.Cette rencontre compte sur l'appui et le partenariat de plusieurs institutions, auxquelles nous tenons à remercier encore une fois dans cette publication : l'APFESP, l'Alliance Française, la Librairie Française, Disal, Hachette, Didier, le Consulat de France à São Paulo, l'UNIFESP, ainsi que les organismes de l'université : Pró-Reitoria de Graduação, Pró-Reitoria de Cultura e Extensão, AUSPIN, le DLM-FFLCH-USP. De nos jours, nul n’est sans savoir qu’apprendre une langue étrangère c’est incorporer non seulement des éléments de base du domaine linguistique et discursif mais aussi s’approprier de la richesse de sa phraséologie. Or, même lorsqu’on a atteint un haut degré de compétence, le plus difficile à maîtriser d’une langue, si on ne l’a pas sucée à la mamelle, c’est sa chair idiomatique nourrie de mille et une expressions traversées par l’histoire culturelle du pays. À partir des principes théoriques concernant les objets lexiculturels dont Robert Galisson a montré toute la richesse, dans cet article nous avons recensé et étudié une trentaine d’expressions idiomatiques qui contiennent un nom propre géographique, c’est-à-dire un toponyme. Seuls les noms de villes et de villages ont été retenus. L’analyse du corpus a permis de retracer la source historique, sociale ou culturelle des expressions. Pour chacune d’elles, nous proposons une traduction interprétative en espagnol parlé en Argentine. La présentation invite à porter un regard nouveau sur la phraséologie contrastive en tant que voie de recherche privilégiée dans le domaine de la didactologie des langues-cultures.
