Background; nutritional status is a condition in which a person's body is healthy or not, which can be seen anthropometrically, biochemically, physically, and dietary intake. The state of excess intake and inadequate activity will lead to excess body weight. During the COVID-19 pandemic, physical activity decreased among adolescents, so there is a risk of being overweight. Objectives; to analyze the relationship between activity and nutritional status in adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic in Medan City. Material and Method; analytical survey with cross-sectional study approach. This research was conducted by collecting data online in Medan City. The sample of this study was adolescents with a random sampling of 99 samples. Results; This study shows that there is a association between physical activity and nutritional status in adolescents with p-value (0,008). Conclusion; physical activity is needed to maintain body weight during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Latar Belakang: Ketersediaan glukosa darah selama latihan merupakan faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan performa atlet. Pemberian minuman yang mengandung karbohidrat sebelum latihan dapat membantu mempertahankan kadar glukosa darah dan menunda kelelahan. Minuman berkarbohidrat dapat menyuplai energi selama latihan maupun pertandingan. Pemberian minuman dengan kandungan karbohidrat 6-8% selama latihan atau pertandingan dapat membantu meningkatkan performa atlet dengan menunda kelelahan.Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh pemberian minuman berkarbohidrat 15 menit sebelum latihan terhadap kadar glukosa darah atlet.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian true eksperimental dengan rancangan pre-post randomized controlled gorup design. Jumlah subjek 18 atlet sepak bola usia 15-18 tahun di Pusat Pendidikan Pelatihan dan Latihan Pelajar (PPLP) Jawa Tengah yang berpartisipasi dalam penelitian. Subjek penelitian menerima intervensi pemberian minuman berkarbohidrat dan air (kontrol) sebanyak 250 ml. Minuman diberikan 15 menit sebelum latihan lari 10 menit. Kadar glukosa darah diukur sebelum dan setelah lari 10 menit.Hasil: Terdapat perbedaan kadar glukosa darah sebelum dan setelah lari 10 menit baik pada kelompok minuman berkarbohidrat maupun kontrol (p<0.05). Rata-rata penurunan kadar glukosa darah pada kelompok minuman berkarbohidrat lebih kecil daripada kelompok kontrol, akan tetapi menurut statistik tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna pada kadar glukosa darah antara kelompok minuman berkarbohidrat dan kelompok kontrol (p=0.264).Simpulan: Pemberian minuman minuman berkarbohidrat sebelum latihan pada atlet dapat memperkecil penurunan kadar glukosa darah selama latihan dibandingkan kelompok kontrol.
ABSTRAKPemenuhan kebutuhan gizi berbasis pangan lokal merupakan implementasi dari panduan Pedoman Gizi Seimbang (PGS). Pemberian pengetahuan berkaitan dengan pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi pada guru dapat memberikan manfaat bagi lingkungan sekitar, terutama pada siswa di Sekolah. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan guru tentang pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi berbasis pangan lokal. Kegiatan pengabdian berupa pendidikan gizi dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi kepada 15 orang guru MTs Al Washliyah 19 Percut. Adapun rincian kegiatannya adalah pembukaan, pre-test, penyampaian materi dan tanya jawab, post-test serta penutupan. Data pre-posttest dianalisis secara deskriptif dan uji beda paired t-test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan guru terkait pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi berbasis pangan lokal meningkat signifikan (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pendidikan gizi efektif meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi guru MTs Al Washliyah 19 mengenai pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi berbasis pangan lokal. Efforts to increase teachers' knowledge about it can benefit their environment, especially for students. This community service activity aimed to increase MTs Al Washliyah 19 Percut teachers' knowledge about fulfilling local food-based nutritional requirements. The nutrition education for 15 teachers used the discussion method. The activities consist of opening, pre-test, material presentation and discussion, post-test, and closing session. The pre-posttest data were analyzed using the descriptive method and paired sample t-test. The results showed that teachers' knowledge regarding the fulfillment of local food-based nutritional requirements increased significantly (p<0.05). Nutrition education effectively increases the knowledge of MTs Al Washliyah 19 teachers regarding the fulfillment of local food-based nutritional requirements. This research was carried out at the Sports Science Study Program, Faculty of Sports Science, Medan State University, and the Surrounding Medan Football Association (PSMS). The respondents in this study were ten athletes and four football coaches. The model that will be used is a Four-D (4D) model consisting of four (4) stages, namely, Define (defining), Design (design), Develop (development), and Disseminate (deployment). The results showed that most ( 95%) of respondents needed an E-Book on physical exercise and diet management for football athletes. They agreed that all physical training materials in the indicators mentioned must be in the E-book. The validation results of the material show that the material presented in the e-book is very suitable (3.67) with what is needed today and is ideal for use. The results of validation of the media show that this e-book media is included in the category of very suitable both for the completeness of presentation and the feasibility of graphics and can be used as an electronic medium for football sports. The readability test results received an average assessment of 3.75, meaning that the e-book can be declared very legible and suitable for use. The results of the different tests showed significant differences in the years before and after being given the intervention of physical training and diet E-books for Football Athletes. Athletes' knowledge has increased, with an average knowledge increase score of 19.4 points. Suggestions for future improvement and development of e-books are like adding more exciting images and multiplying case examples.
