This research is motivated by the condition of students in the learning process of multivariate statistics courses. In the matter of data input practice, data output, and data interpretation. Students tend to only follow lectures and are less active in asking questions. Students are less active in looking for additional material beyond the material taught by the lecturer. The research method uses a qualitative case study type approach. The research object consisted of 23 students who took multivariate courses, the Chair of the Study Program and a lecturer in Economic Education. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are multivariate statistical learning courses performed well. The process of teaching and learning activities prioritize student activity as evidenced by the practice carried out in each lecture. The Submission of material is done using English. Student activeness is still lacking because students are less active in asking questions. Student motivation tends to be low in finding information about lecture material that has been taught or will be taught. The conclusion of this study is that discipline, commitment, and encouragement from within students are important. Personal motivation affects more activeness. This research has implications as a contribution to lecturers in order to be able to increase encouragement from within students in order to increase activity in the learning process.
Penelitian ini bertujuan membuktikan adanya pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama, terhadap kinerja guru SD negeri di Kecamatan Comal Kabupaten Pemalang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional dan survey yang bersifat explanatory. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan skala Likert yang telah teruji keabsahannya terbukti valid dan stabil. Pengujian prasarat analisis yang meliputi uji normalitas, multikolinearitas, heteroskedasitas, dan linearitas menunjukkan persyaratan telah terpenuhi. Hasil uji F hitung 120,311 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000<0,05, berarti ada pengaruh signifikan dan positif gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja terhadap kinerja guru. Dari uji parsial, diperoleh nilai signifikansi gaya kepemimpinan transformasional 0,001, motivasi kerja 0,000, dan kepuasan kerja 0,000< 0,05, berarti gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja masing-masing berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap kinerja guru. Hal ini menunjukkan semua hipotesis dalam penelitian ini dapat diterima, artinya ada pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan dari gaya kepemimpinan transformasional, motivasi kerja, dan kepuasan kerja, baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun bersama, terhadap kinerja guru.AbstractThis study aims to prove the influence of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction both individually and collectively on the performance of elementary school teachers in Comal District, Pemalang Regency. This is a quantitative study using a cross sectional approach and an explanatory survey. Data were collected using a questionnaire with a Likert scale that has been tested for validity and is proven valid and stable. The results of the analysis prerequisite test including normality test, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and linearity show that the requirements have been fulfilled. The result of the F test count is 120.311 with a significance value of 0.000<0.05, meaning that there is a significant and positive effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction on teacher performance. Partial test shows that the significance value of transformational leadership style is 0.001, work motivation is 0.000, and job satisfaction is 0.000<0.05, meaning that transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction have a significant and positive effect on teacher performance, respectively. It shows that all hypotheses in this study are acceptable, which means that there is a positive and significant effect of transformational leadership style, work motivation, and job satisfaction both individually and collectively on the teachers’ performance.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan merupakan jenis penelitian studi kasus (case study) yaitu penelitian yang dilakukan langsung ke lokasi penelitian di SMP N 2 Taman Kabupaten Pemalang pada tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Dari hasil penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa perencanaan mutu akademik berjalan dengan baik yang dibuktikan dengan: (a) Menganalisis permasalahan dan kebutuhan mutu pembelajaran; (b) menetapkan tujuan penyelesaian masalah yang ada; (c) sekolah mempunyai program kerja yang jelas; (d) mempunyai berbagai macam strategi perencanaan peningkatan mutu akademik; (e) sumber dana berasal dari BOS dan sumber dana lain; (f) merencanakan dan mensosialisasikan peningkatan mutu akademik melibatkan seluruh warga sekolah, komite sekolah dan pertemuan orang tua murid dan guru. Pengorganisasian mutu akademik baik, hal ini dibuktikan dengan adanya: (a) pembagian kerja; (b) penempatan tenaga kerja; (c) pembagian wewenang dan tanggung jawab (d) adanya pelimpahan wewenang dari kepala sekolah kebawahan. Pelaksanaan mutu akademik berjalan dengan baik, dibuktikan dengan: (a) pelaksanaan program sekolah; (b) kepala sekolah berperan sebagai motivator; (c) kepala sekolah memantau terhadap peningkatan mutu pembelajaran; (e) kelulusan Ujian Sekolah 100%.Pengawasan mutu akademik berjalan dengan baik, dibuktikan dengan; (a) adanya kegiatan evaluasi pelaksanaan; (b) pelaporan penyimpangan; (c) Tindak lanjut, menlaksanakan rapat evaluasi tahunan dan menentukan tindak lanjut untuk perencanaan kegiatan peningkatan program mutu akademik ditahun pelajaran yang akan datang.
This study aims to determine the influence of the role of school committees on the implementation of school-based management (SBM) in private elementary schools in Pemalang district. The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, namely research with quantitative data which is then processed and analyzed for conclusions. The first step before the research is taken is to conduct a theoretical study, then the following stages are carried out; first, compiling research instruments, secondly testing the validity and reliability of instruments, thirdly the process of data retrieval, fourth tabulation of data, data processing and interpretation of data, fifth drawing conclusions. The results showed that; first, The role of the school committee as a judge, supporter, mediator and controller of the implementation of SBM obtained a minimum score of 69 and a maximum score of 202 with a score range of 133. The data can be described as saying that out of 100 respondents who stated that the role of the school committee was good, 13 people were equivalent to 13%, stated that 37 people played a good role. 37%, stated that 39 people played a role equivalent to 3 9% stated that they played less role as many as 9 people equivalent to 9% and respondents who stated that they did not play a role as many as 2 people were equivalent to 2%. With a mean value of 149.27 and a mode value of 162, the value is included in the interval class 150 – 176 in the good/high category. The conclusion of this study is that the level of SBM implementation in Pemalang District Private Primary School is influenced by the level of role of the school committee. The higher the role of the school committee, the more the implementation of SBM will increase. Similarly, if the role of the school committee is low or lacks a role, then the level of implementation of SBM will also decrease.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap bagaimana peran kepala sekolah yang ideal terutama peran manajerial dan supervisor, agar dapat meningkatkan kinerja guru di SDIT Buah Hati Pemalang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif, memaparkan secara alami fakta dengan ditemukan di lapangan tentang peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan secara trianggulasi (gabungan), analisis data bersifat induktif/kualitatif. Hasil pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumen, ditemukan bahwa 1) Peran kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru yakni dengan menerapkan program POAC yaitu planning, organizing, actuating dan controlling; 2) Kendala yang dialami kepala sekolah yaitu kemampuan guru kelas yang masih rendah serta kemampuan dalam memanfaatkan teknologi juga masih minim; 3) Solusi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah yaitu membimbing dan mengarahkan guru kelas dalam peningkatan kompetensi melalui berbagai kegiatan diantaranya workshop, serta melakukan kegiatan supervisi pembelajaran secara berkala.
