Batik industry is a business activity oriented towards customer loyalty and is demanded to show an increasing diversity of products with various motives designed to prevent customers from moving to other companies. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to develop a theoretical approach in solving problems in the relationship between service quality and product diversity on satisfaction and word of mouth (WoM) and its impact on customer loyalty. Furthermore, this study also examined the mediating effects of satisfaction and WoM in the relationship between service quality and product diversity on customer loyalty. This research's object took the customers of Batik Semarangan Craftwork, Indonesia, with the phenomenon of always developing creative and innovative Batik motif designs that can be accepted by the market without leaving Semarang's uniqueness. The total sample was 98 customers. The results of the study showed that service quality and product diversity positively affected satisfaction and WoM and had a positive effect on customer loyalty. Besides, satisfaction and WoM had a mediating effect on the effect of service quality and product diversity on loyalty. Thus, it is essential for management to create and increase customer loyalty by paying attention to service quality, product diversity, satisfaction, and WoM.
This study aims to analyze the effect of job characteristics and employee engagement on performance by mediating organizational commitment to employees of PT Jati Luhur Agung Semarang. The research sample was all 115 employees of PT Jati Luhur Agung Semarang (Factory 1) with census sampling technique. The data analysis technique used instrument test, model test, regression test, and sobel test using SPSS 24 software. The results showed that job characteristics had no effect on organizational commitment. Employee engagement had a positive effect on organizational commitment. Job characteristics had a positive effect on performance. Employee engagement had a positive effect on performance. Organizational commitment had a positive effect on performance. Organizational commitment does not mediate the effect of job characteristics on performance while organizational commitment mediates employee engagement on performance.
This study aims to analyze the effect of product quality on the purchasing decision process, the influence of lifestyle on the purchasing decision process and the influence of product knowledge on the folding bicycle purchase decision process in Semarang City. This research was conducted from November to December 2020 with the number of samples used as many as 100 respondents with the sampling technique in this study was purposive sampling. The data analysis technique used instrument test, model test, regression test using SPSS 24.0 software. The results showed that product quality, lifestyle, and product knowledge had a positive effect on the purchasing decision process. Product quality has the greatest influence on the purchasing decision process compared to lifestyle and product knowledge. The better the quality of the product, the higher the purchasing decision process.
A company disclosed its environmental disclosure by providing its annual report and sustainability report as a responsibility to society and the environment. This study aims to examine the factors that influence environmental disclosure, consisting of profitability, leverage, company size, industry type and company age. Legitimacy theory and stakeholder theory are used in this study. The population in this study is industrial companies listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) in 2018. Purposive sampling is used as a sampling method in order to obtain 61 companies. Multiple linear analysis was used to test the effect between variables. The quantity determination of environmental disclosure is measured using the content analysis method based on GRI Standard 2016. The result showed that company size has a significant positive effect on environmental disclosure. Meanwhile, the relationship between profitability and environmental disclosure has a significant negative. On the other hand, leverage, industry type, and company age have no significant environmental disclosure effect. Based on the resulting test, large companies disclosed environmental disclosures to increase public trust and credibility.
