Straw-headed bulbul (Pycnonotus zeylanicus) is a popular singing bird widely traded in Indonesia. Captive breeding is one of the conservation efforts to increase the population outside the natural habitat, therefore, research on captive breeding models is important. The objective of the study is mainly to describe the management and determine the model of straw-headed bulbul captive breeding. The study was conducted on May-July 2015 in 10 different captive breeding facilities in Bogor and Depok Districts. Data were collected through observations, measurement, and interview. Principal Components Regression with the stepwise methods was used to analyze the success model of captivity breeding. The study found that the captive breeding management has been operated appropriately to ensure its productivity, as demonstrated by the natality and mortality models. The natality model Y1 = 64.70 + 57.48 PC1 showed that captivity duration, higher parent productivity, and higher egg hatchability increase natality rate. The mortality model, Y2 = 19.10 -4.23 PC2, showed that greater operational and capital costs incurred as well as longer treatment duration are able to suppress mortality.Key words: Captive breeding, management, principal components regression, straw-headed bulbul, success model. ABSTRAKBurung Cucak rawa (Pycnonotus zeylanicus, Gmelin 1789) merupakan salah satu burung berkicau terkenal dan marak diperdagangkan di Indonesia. Upaya konservasi untuk meningkatkan populasi di luar habitat alaminya adalah melalui penangkaran sehingga penelitian mengenai model keberhasilan penangkaran penting untuk dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan manajemen penangkaran pada lokasi penelitian dan menentukan model keberhasilan penangkaran cucak rawa. Penelitian dilakukan pada sepuluh penangkaran yang berlokasi di Kabupaten Bogor dan Depok. Penelitian dilakukan selama tiga bulan mulai Mei hingga Juli 2015. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pengamatan langsung, pengukuran, dan wawancara. Data selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan regresi komponen utama dengan metode stepwise untuk menentukan model keberhasilan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa manajemen penangkaran yang sudah beroperasi hingga saat ini dinilai tepat untuk memenuhi kebutuhan produktivitas, seperti yang ditunjukkan dalam model perkembangan reproduksi berdasarkan angka kelahiran dan kematian. Model kelahiran Y1 = 64,.70 + 57,48 PC1 menunjukkan bahwa semakin lama menangkarkan, jumlah induk produktif banyak, dan daya tetas telur tingi maka semakin besar kelahiran. Primates that live within fragmented and disturbed habitat are facing population declines and a higher probability of extinction due to gene flow inhibition. To address this problem, land managers, practitioners, and primatologists have applied several approaches to enhance primates’ habitat quality and connectivity through habitat restoration and canopy bridge installation. In some cases, artificial canopy bridges have shown to be effective to facilitate movement between fragmented habitats for several primates’ taxa. However, while several types of canopy bridge designs are available, there is no clear evidence on which is the best for primates. Here we evaluated the effectiveness of three artificial canopy bridge designs within a hydroelectric project in Sumatra, Indonesia from 2019 to 2021. The hydroelectric project was located at the edge of a forest block within the Batang Toru Ecosystem which could disconnect the primate’s population from this protected forest to the other forest blocks. During 595 days of camera trapping, we captured 988 independent crossing events from six diurnal primate species (Pongo tapanuliensis, Hylobates agilis, Symphalangus syndactylus, Presbytis sumatrana, Macaca nemestrina, and Macaca fascicularis). Our initial observation finds the ladder canopy bridge design was commonly used by primates and Presbytis sumatrana was the species that often crossed the canopy bridge. These findings are important to improve species management plans and primate conservation in Indonesia.

The process of selecting IIES is not a simple thing, parents must choose wisely and precisely which IIES will be a place for their children to get knowledge given that the learning routines and interactions carried out by children in the school will take place in no short time. At present, almost all parents who will choose a school, especially IIES for their children, must-visit IIES one by one to get information and compare each IIES, which of course will take a lot of time and money. Therefore, it is necessary to implement a method, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) method, which is able to help parents in choosing IIES according to their wishes. The results of this study are to provide the best alternative recommendations that have been determined based on the ranking of the TOPSIS calculation which consists of 8 criteria, namely accreditation criteria, entrance fee, school fee/month, facilities, parking yard, extracurricular, location and distance.

<p>Penelitian ini yaitu untuk: untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode pemecahan masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar Matematika tentang satuan panjang pada  kelas II SD Negeri 5 Panjer Tahun Ajaran 2020/2021. Penelitian ini merupakan PTK yang direncanakan dan dilaksanakan oleh peneliti sendiri dalam dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan   refleksi. Pada siklus I pertemuan I dengan presentase siswa belum tuntas 30,00 % dan tuntas 70,00%. Siklus I pertemuan II yaitu dengan presentase siswa belum tuntas 15,00% dan tuntas 85%. Siklus II pertemuan I dengan presentase siswa belum tuntas 25,00%  dan tuntas 75,00%.  Pada siklus II pertemuan II  tetap menggunakan metode pemecahan masalah meningkat dengan presentase siswa belum tuntas 10,00% dan tuntas 90,00%. Kesimpulan   penelitian   ini   adalah   penggunaan metode pemecahan masalah dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika peserta didik tentang satuan panjang di kelas II SD Negeri 5 Panjer tahun ajaran 2020/2021.<em></em></p>
