Physical activity is one of the vital components of students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic, which is endemic in various countries, including Indonesia. The purpose of the study was to determine the level of physical activity of students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants of this study were 17 students with disabilities (intellectual disability, hearing impairment, speech impairment) aged 8-14 years. This research used a quantitative descriptive research method. The tool used was the Children's Physical Activity Questionnaire (PAQ-C) distributed through Google Forms. Data analysis included quantitative descriptive statistics analysis and the analytical need testing using IBM SPSS 24 applications. The results showed that the physical activity of students with disabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic was mostly distributed in the low category, nine students (50%). This study implied that students should maintain and increase physical activity by doing light physical activity at least 30 minutes a day and maintaining immunity by eating nutritious foods such as vitamins, fruits, vegetables, and healthy foods to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. It will be interesting to study adaptive learning more deeply during pandemics in a broad scope in Indonesia for further research.
This study was aimed at developing a new model of resistance-based strength training for junior tennis athletes and examining its effectiveness on their serve performance compared to traditional model of training. It is a Research and Development study focusing on developing, validating, revising, and testing the model of training. In testing phase, effectiveness test was accomplished to examine the effectiveness of the new training model and compared to the effectiveness of the traditional model. There were 60 junior athletes contributing to this study. The data were gathered by distributing questionnaires to reveal the convenience and attractiveness of the model developed and using Collang Smart Tennis Racket Sensor Tracker Motion Analyzer to reveal the tennis athletes' serve performance. The data were analyzed by employing descriptive statistic and t-test. In terms of convenience and attractiveness, this study revealed that the use of resistance training for junior tennis athletes showed good results. T-test proved that this new model was more effective in improving players' serve speed compared to traditional model was. Thus, researchers concluded that the new model of resistance-based training can be implemented to increase tennis junior players' serve speed.
Mastery techniques in badminton game are a main ability that must be possessed by players. One part of these techniques is the strategy in proper shuttlecock placement, so that the opposing player is difficult to restore it. Therefore, this study aims to build a computational model and its implementation that are able to provide predictions/recommendations for trainers and players on determining strategies of shuttlecock's placements and strokes. The proposed model takes into account historical game patterns that have been done by world class athletes. Then, string matching using the Knuth-Morris-Pratt algorithm and a clustering method are utilized to provide solutions to be some strategies on shooting the shuttlecock. The model is then implemented in the R programming language. Several experiments, involving 20 series of world matches collected as historical data, have been conducted to validate the system. From the results obtained, it can be concluded that the system can be used as an alternative tool for players and coaches to determine the strategy in the placement and strokes of shuttlecock on badminton game.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat motivasi belajar pendidikan jasmani berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif komparatif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SMP kelas VII dengan jumlah 52 orang siswa, terdiri dari 30 siswa laki-laki dan 22 siswa perempuan. Instrumen yang digunakan oleh peneliti adalah angket motivasi belajar pendidikan jasmani untuk siswa SMP yang terdiri dari 29 item pernyataan dengan nilai validitas 0,518 dan reliabilitas 0,906. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah independent sample t test untuk menguji perbandingan motivasi siswa laki-laki dengan siswa perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi belajar pendidikan jasmani siswa laki-laki lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa perempuan di jenjang SMP. Adanya temuan ini diharapkan menjadi evaluasi bagi pihak-pihak terkait dalam rangka menumbuhkan motivasi guna peningkatan hasil belajar siswa.
