The problems that will be examined in this study are (1) How the concept of education based on life skills (2) How education management based on life skills (3) How the education management model based on life skills.This research was carried out in the form of meta-synthesis, also referred to as systematic review, a research to identify, evaluate and interpret the result of similiar studies to answer research questions, spesific topics or phenomena that are concern. Form such data will be identified, analyzed and interpreted to produce conclusion. In this study the author will be conduct a meta synthesis (identifying, evaluating and interpreting) 13 research journals based on life skills education, so that the authors get new concepts or deep new insights about Life Skills-Based Education Models. The author will conclude a lot of information from 13 journals that may conflict with each other or support each other which then can increase the streght of the authors analysis., overcome uncertainties and also be able to answer questions about the life skills education model proposed in previous studies. The education model based on life skills through training can make positive decisions in the face of everyday.
The aims of this study is to find out the feasibility of comic media on narrative texts based on local wisdom. The research was conducted in the second semester 2018/2019. The subjects in this study were students of VII grade of Junior High School (SMPN) 1 Kotapinang. The results of the material expert validation on the feasibility of material aspects gained an average of 89.37% with the category "Very Good", the aspect of language feasibility obtained an average of 83.33% with the category "Very Good", the feasibility of presentation aspects obtained an average of 89, 58% with the category "Very Good. The results of the validation from the illustrated expert obtained an average of 100% with the category "Very Good", while the results of the validation of the design of the learning media from the visual appearance aspect obtained an average of 80.28% with the category "Good", while from the aspect of design learning obtained on average 75% with the category "Good". Therefore, comic media in narrative texts based on local wisdom are developed for VII Grade Students of Junior High School (SMPN) 3 Kotapinang that are suitable for use in the learning process.
The development and implementation of learning material on exposition text with a process for Senior High School (SHS) students on the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia is reported. The study is aimed to develop a learning material on exposition text with a process to be used as a learning media on the teaching of writing in Bahasa Indonesia. The study is carried out at state senior high school (Sekolah Menengah Atas, SMA) Medan, Indonesia at academic year 2017/2018. The learning material is developed by enriching the topics with exposition text to meet the competence required by national curriculum in Indonesia. The learning material has been used as a media the teaching and learning activities in the experimental class and compared with ordinary book that has been used in control class on the teaching of Bahasa Indonesia. An excellent learning material has been obtained. Implementation of the learning material in the class has change students learning style moving from teacher centred to students centred learning. The developed material was found very effective as a learning media in the teaching and learning process and be able to improve students’ achievement in Bahasa Indonesia. Students’ achievements in experimental class (M=89.63±5.32) was higher than that obtained in control class (M=77.25±5.06). The students’ writing skills are improved. Students performance in experimental class (M=86.04±6.89) was higher than that in control class (M=78.60±5.42). The learning facilities provided in the learning material are found to be effective to guide the students to improve their learning ability to write texts on exposition text with a process in Bahasa Indonesia.
This study discusses about how lecturer intelligence can influence their perfomance. This research is a study that uses numerical numbers and changes feed approach to quantitative methods, with descriptive research. This research is conducted in Medan city. This study examines the performance of lecturers in private universities represented by universities that have lecturers of foundations with a long category of founding universities over 10 years, namely: (1) Islamic University of North Sumatra (UISU); (2) Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra (UMSU); (3) Muslim Nusantara University (UMN); (4) Nomensen University; (5) Indonesian Methodist University (UMI); (6) Catholic University of Santo Thomas. The result shows that Cognitive abilities tend to be "high" (53.33%). The average value of the overall cognitive abilities of lecturers in private universities in Medan is 81.92. Cognitive ability directly influences the performance of permanent lecturers in private universities in Medan.
The aim of this study to development of materials teaching writing text drama based on problems that happened in 9th of grade Students of Methodist Medan. The reason for choosing this school student at Methodist Senior High School 12 Medan was because it had all the supporting aspects so that the research could run well. This study was conducted on July2019. The result is students who scored 65-74 were 2 with a percentage of 7%, at 55-64 there were 1 2 people with a percentage of 40 % and at 0-54 as many as 16 people with a percentage of 53%. In the posttest score increased better learning outcomes around 85-100 scores by 2 with a percentage of 7 %, 75-84 scores by 2 2 with a percentage of 73 %, a value of 65-74 by 6 with a percentage of 20 % . So, the final results of the needs analysis showed that 100% of teachers and students of Medan Methodist 12 High School needed a companion module in learning Indonesian.
This study discusses about how significance between organizational culture and lecturer perfomance. This research is a study that uses numerical numbers and changes feed approach to quantitative methods, with descriptive research that processes data with SPSS from the results of questionnaires on population samples. The research is done in private universities, college, academies and polytechnics in Medan. The result shows that organizational culture tends to be "high" (57.78%), only 36.83% which distributes the average value into sufficient categories.
This study is aimed to describe the process of developing SOLO Taxonomy-based assessment tools on the text of observation reports for X grade students of Senior High School 1 NA. IX-X; describe how the appropriateness of the assessment tool, and describe the effectiveness of the assessment tool. This study uses Borg & Gall development model. The analysis is done by determining the characteristics of the will of students and teachers by determining the percentage of answers to each question / statement. The data obtained in this study were quantitative descriptive data. The results showed that: (1) the development of Solo Taxonomy-based assessment tools on the text of observation report was carried out in several stages, there were: research and information collecting; planning; develop preliminary form of product; preliminary field testing; main product revision; and main field testing. This stages has been restricted to the entire stage of the Borg & Gall development model. Restrictions on the stages of development are tailored to the needs of researchers. All stages are carried out until the product is said to be of good quality based on validity and is suitable for use in learning; (2) the average percentage of all sub-components from the results of the validation of material experts was 81%. The average percentage of all indicators of results to content eligibility was 85.49%; Presentation Feasibility has an average of 88.4%; language worthiness has an average of 90.3%; all three components were in the "excellent" category. The average percentage of all sub-components from the results of the evaluation expert for the multiple choice instrument was 94.38% with "excellent" criteria and the description form had a total percentage of 91.65% with "excellent" criteria. The results of the teacher's response to the assessment tools has an average total percentage of 90.38% with the criteria of "excellent". The results of student’s response to the application of assessment tools has a total percentage of 91.31% with the criteria of "excellent"; and (3) The effectiveness of the Solo taxonomy-based assessment tool on the text of the observation report obtained an average of 82.57. The lowest student score was 75 and the highest was 95. This shows that student learning outcomes were better when compared to without teachers using assessment tools.
This study aims to produce teaching material products in the form of poetry writing modules based on character values in the lyrics of the song Rafly Kande and describe their eligibility. The development module makes it easier for students to learn about writing poetry. This research uses research and development methods or Research and Development (R & D). The product that was developed based on preliminary research is the character development writing module based on character values in the lyrics of the song Rafly Kande for grade VIII students which contains poetry understanding materials, poetry builder's elements, character values, character values in the Rafly Kande song. The test subjects in this research development are subject matter experts, namely material experts, design experts and teachers. As well as the subject of students of class VIII Madrasah Tsanawiyah Private Geudubang Aceh Langsa as prospective module users. The determination of the subject was carried out by random sampling, consisting of 3 students for individual tests, 9 students for small group tests and 32 students for limited field tests. Data collection techniques are done by anget. This questionnaire is used to assess modules developed from the aspects of module completeness, material content and physical appearance of the module. The results showed that in the individual test the writing module of poetry based on character values in the lyrics of the song Rafly Kande was included in the feasible category after the revision, the result of the development module was included in the small group test and the result of the development module was in the very feasible category in the limited field test. Thus, the development module for writing character-based poems in the lyrics of the song Rafly Kande for students of class VIII results of this development is appropriate for students to use.
