The aim of the study is to find out the effectiveness of learning media folklore text of North Sumatra based on blended learning. This study used research and development of learning media based on blended learning takes the form of online, offline and face-to-face learning media. The result of the study Learning outcomes in the folklore text material of 10th Grade students of Vocational High School Harapan Mekar-1 Medan after using learning media based on blended learning are in the category of "very good" with an average value of 82.81 and the average value before using learning media based on blended learning of 67.65 which is in the "good" category. This proves that student learning outcomes in writing folklore text material using blended learning based learning media is higher with the difference in percentage from pretest to posttest is 15,16.
Menjelang akhir tahun 2020, Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Ristek RI menegaskan bahwa cita-cita pembelajaran di Indonesia ialah menciptakan pembelajaran yang berpihak kepada siswa, pembelajaran yang memerdekakan pemikiran, dan potensi siswa. Salah satu strategi yang mampu menciptakan proses pembelajaran tersebut adalah diferensiasi. Melalui artikel ini, penulis mencoba menuangkan gagasan pemikiran terkait rancangan implementasi strategi diferensiasi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dengan muatan kemampuan berpikir aras tinggi. Strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi bermuatan critical thinking skill bertujuan untuk memciptakan peseta didik agar memiliki pola belajar dan pola berpikir serta mengembangkan inovasi kreatif dan inovatif. Strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi dapat dilakukan dalam 3 bentuk, yaitu: (1) diferensiasi konten, (2) proses dan (3) produk. Diferensiasi konten dilakukan melalui kesiapan, minat, dan profil belajar siswa. Diferensiasi proses dilakukan melalui penggunaan kegiatan berjenjang, mengembangkan kegiatan bervariasi dan menggunakan mengelompokkan siswa sesuai dengan kesiapan, kemampuan dan minat. Diferensiasi produk dapat dilakukan melalui pemberian pilihan bagaimana siswa mengekspresikan pembelajaran yang diinginkan. Adapun rancangan strategi pembelajaran diferensiasi bermuatan critical thinking skill dapat dilakukan melalui tahapan yang dimulai dari: literasi, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, dan creativity. One strategy that is able to create the learning process is differentiation. Through this article, the author tries to express ideas related to the design of implementing differentiation strategies in Indonesian language learning with high-level thinking skills. Learning strategies that are charged with critical thinking skills aim to create students to have learning patterns and thinking patterns as well as to develop creative and innovative innovations. Differentiation learning strategies can be carried out in 3 forms, namely: (1) content differentiation, (2) process and (3) product. Content differentiation is carried out through students' readiness, interests, and learning profiles. The differentiation process is carried out through the use of tiered activities, developing varied activities and using grouping of students according to readiness, abilities and interests. Product differentiation can be done through giving the choice of how students express the desired learning. Digital media or often referred to as new media (new digital media) is an electronic media stored in digital format (as opposed to analog format) which can be used as storage, transmit, and receive digitalized information. Digital media is the internet-based media using computers and sophisticated mobile phones. Digital media as internet-based media has the characteristics of (1) computer-based technology; (2) its characteristics are hybrid, not dedicated, flexible; (3) interactive potential; (4) public and private functions; (5) non-strict regulations; (6) interrelation; (7) ubiquitous / independent of location; (8) can be accessed by individuals as communicators. This development research will be carried out at the Medan Tourism Polytechnic which is located at Jalan Rumah Sakit Haji No. 12, Kenanga Baru, Percut Sei Tuan District, and Deliserdang Regency. This Polytechnic has seven Study Programs, namely one Diploma 4 (D-4) Study Program and six Diploma 3 (D-3) Study Programs. The seven study programs are (1) D-4 Hospitality Management, (2) D-3 Room Division Management, (3) D-3 Food Management Management, (4) D-3 Catering Management, (5) D-3 Patiseri Management, (6) Tourism Planning and Marketing Management, and (7) D-3 Travel Tour. This digital multimodal-based public speaking learning media is very effective to use to improve learning outcomes. The learning outcomes after applying this product were at an average of 89.68%, meanwhile the learning outcomes before the application of learning media were at an average (55.93%).
This study aims to: (1) Know the differences in reading skills of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models compared to students taught with conventional learning models; (2) Knowing the difference in reading skills of students who have high learning motivation compared to students who have low learning motivation; (3) Knowing the interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills. The population in this study was the fifth grade students of Public Elementary School 101883 Tanjung Morawa Subdistrict, Deliserdang Regency, amounting to 54 people. The data collection in this study was through a questionnaire and a test of students' reading skills. Hypothesis testing is done by the Two Way Anova test. The results showed that: (1) The reading skills of students taught with Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition learning models were higher than those of students who were taught with conventional learning models (Fcount = 21,164 and sig. 0,000> 0.05); (2) The reading skills of students who have high learning motivation are higher than the reading skills of students who have low learning motivation (Fcount = 6.756 and sig. 0.012> 0.05); (3) There is an interaction between learning models and learning motivation in influencing students' reading skills (Fcount = 7.054 and sig. 0.011> 0.05).
This study is aimed to describe the development of instrument of reading literacy assessment on Indonesian language learning in Quality Medan University. The assessment instrument which is developed in the form of a guidebook of reading literacy on the PISA reference which is used as a handbook for lecturers in the field of learning studies reading texts. The population of this study is the first semester students of the Medan Quality Private University. The authors took a sample of 30 students. The result shows that the development of reading literacy assessment instrument on the PISA reference, is a direct assessment because students immediately show evidence of mastery of competencies when the assessment is conducted. The use of reading literacy assessment increases the results of high-level understanding of students, this is indicated by the results of student scores after using the reading literacy assessment on the PISA reference was 2283 compared to the results before 1364.
