Remaja putri memiliki risiko tinggi mengalami anemia, karena setiap bulan pada remaja putri mengalami haid. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pemberian tablet besi (Fe), vitamin C dan jus jambu biji terhadap peningkatan kadar hemoglobin remaja putri. Jenis penelitian desain eksperimental dengan rancangan pretest-posttest with control group. Sampel dalam penelitian ini mahasiswi dengan kadar Hemoglobin <12gr/dl sebanyak 30 orang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok, mahasiswi yang mendapat suplementasi tablet Fe+jus jambu biji (kelompok I), suplementasi tablet Fe+vitamin C (kelompok II) dan suplementasi tablet Fe (kontrol). Pemberian intervensi dilakukan selama 8 minggu dan pemeriksaan kadar Hb setiap 2 minggu. Analisa data menggunakan Uji paired t test dan uji Anova. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa setelah intervensi 8 minggu diperoleh rerata peningkatan kadar Hb tertinggi pada kelompok tablet Fe+jus jambu biji sebesar 2,13 gr/dL, kelompok tablet Fe+vitamin C sebesar 1,23 gr/dL, dan kelompok tablet Fe sebesar 0,83 gr/dL. Berdasarkan uji Anova setelah intervensi 2 minggu (p=0,010), setelah intervensi 4 minggu (p=0,226), setelah intervensi 6 minggu (p=0,423), setelah intervensi 8 minggu (p=0, 0,267) dengan α=0,05.
ABSTRAKNovel coronavirus (COVID-19) saat ini telah menjadi pandemi dan masalah kesehatan dunia sehingga diperlukan upaya pengendalian dan pencegahan COVID-19. Salah satu upaya pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat, melalui kesehatan tubuh perorangan. Informasi mengenai suplemen kesehatan sangat diperlukan agar masyarakat dapat memilih dan menggunakan suplemen secara bijak untuk menghadapi COVID-19. Edukasi terkait penggunanaan suplemen kesehatan bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi yang benar, objektif dan tidak menyesatkan untuk menghadapi COVID-19 sehingga masyarakat dapat lebih memahaminya. Metode yang dilakukakan dengan memberikan sebanyak 30 booklet dan suplemen kesehatan kepada warga masyarakat Singasari, Puyung, Lombok Tengah. Wawasan masyarakat tentang penggunaan suplemen kesehatan meningkat setelah pemberian edukasi yang ditandai dengan masyarakat mampu mengulang kembali informasi yang sudah diberikan. Masyarakat dapat mengetahui bagaimana cara penggunaan suplemen yang tepat sehingga tidak salah dalam mengkonsumsi produk suplemen yang beredar dipasaran. One of the preventive efforts that can be done is to increase community resilience through the health of the individual body. Information about health supplements is needed so that people can choose and use supplements wisely to deal with COVID-19.Education related to the use of health supplements aims to provide correct, objective and not misleading information to deal with COVID-19 so that the public can better understand it. The method is carried out by providing as many as 30 booklets and health supplements to residents of the Singasari community, Puyung, Central Lombok. Public awareness about the use of health supplements increased after the provision of education, which was marked by the community being able to repeat the information that had been given. Waste consists of household waste, waste similar to household waste, and specific waste. Waste generated in the campus area is included in household type such as plastic waste, and specific waste especially if it used hazardous materials or contains hazardous and toxic waste in campus laboratories. So that good waste management must be applied to improve the health of the academic civitas and maintain the quality of the campus environment. The aims are to ensure that integrated waste management can be carried out on the University of Muhammadiyah Mataram by minimizing waste and maximizing recycling and composting. Integrated waste management system with the concept of zero waste applies the principle of 3 R (reduce, reuse, recycle), 4R (replace) or 5R (replant). This activity was carried out through counseling on waste management to the campus academic civitas, particularly the Faculty of Health Sciences UMMat. The expected outcomes are the commitment to realize zero waste of the UMMat campus, and participants get a good understanding of plastic waste management as well as raising awareness to sort and dispose of waste in appropriate places of its kind.
ABSTRAKBeyond Use Date (BUD) merupakan batas waktu penggunaan obat setelah diracik atau disiapkan atau setelah kemasan primernya dibuka atau rusak. Pentingnya masyarakat memiliki pengetahuan yang benar terkait obat menjadi kebutuhan masyarakat agar terhindar dari dampak buruk kesehatan diri maupun lingkungan. Pemberian informasi kepada pasien oleh tenaga kesehatan mengenai cara penyimpanan dan batas waktu penggunaan obat setelah kemasan dibuka sangat penting untuk ketahui. Namun informasi tentang BUD ini masih sangat rendah di kalangan tenaga kesehatan, apalagi di kalangan mahasiswa calon tenaga kesehatan yaitu Ikatan Mahasiswa Kesehatan Kota Mataram (ISMAKES) yang belum sepenuhnya menerima informasi terkait dengan pendidikan yang mereka tempuh. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi terkait Beyond Use Date Obat kepada mahasiswa ISMAKES Kota Mataram untuk peningkatan keamanan dalam penggunaan obat. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini adalah metode ceramah, pemberian leaflet dan metode pre - post test dalam bentuk kuesioner. Subyek pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah seluruh anggota ISMAKES Kota Mataram. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah power point, leaflet dan kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil pretest dan posttest dari kegiatan yang dilakukan dapat dilihat terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan mahasiswa ISMAKES Kota Mataram tentang Beyond Use Date Obat dari nilai rata-rata pretest peserta adalah 73,43% (Cukup) meningkat menjadi 87,14% (Baik) pada saat posttes dengan peningkatan pengetahuan tentang BUD sebesar 13,71%. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa para peserta dapat menerima edukasi yang diberikan dengan baik. The importance of the community having the correct knowledge related to drugs is a community need to avoid the adverse effects on personal and environmental health. Providing information to patients by health workers regarding storage methods and the time limit for using drugs after the packaging is opened is very important to know. However, information about BUD is still very low among health workers, especially among prospective health worker students, namely the Mataram City Health Student Association (ISMAKES) who have not fully received information related to the education they are taking. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide information regarding the Beyond Use Date of Drugs to ISMAKES students in Mataram City to increase safety in the use of drugs. The method used in this activity is the lecture method, giving leaflets, and the pre-post test method in the form of a questionnaire. The subjects of this community service are all members of the Mataram City ISMAKES. The instruments used are power points, leaflets, and questionnaires. Based on the results of the pretest and posttest of the activities carried out, it can be seen that there was an increase in the knowledge of ISMAKES students in Mataram City about the Beyond Use Date of Drugs from the average pretest score of participants was 73.43% (Enough) increased to 87.14% (Good) at the posttest. with an increase in knowledge about BUD by 13.71%. ABSTRAKKeterbatasan APD (Alat Pelindung Diri) semakin memprihatinkan, sehingga perlunya pemasokan APD pada fasilitas kesehatan guna untuk mencegah pemaparan peyebaran covid-19 pada tenaga kesehatan. Dengan adanya kelangkaan alat pelindung diri, alternatif lain dalam perlindungan diri minimal untuk mencegah penyebaran Covid-19 ini adalah dengan menggunakan Face shield. Tenaga kesehatan di fasilitas kesehatan yang secara langsung memberikan pelayanan masyarakat memiliki resiko tinggi terkena penyebaran covid-19. Oleh karena itu, perlunya melakukan kegiatan dalam membantu penyediaan APD di fasilitas kesahatan salah satu nya adalah Face shield. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini untuk membantu tenaga kesehatan dalam pencegahan penyebaran covid-19. Pada pengabdian masyarakat ini pembagian face shield dilakukan pada sejumlah puskesmas dan klinik antara lain Puskesmas Labuapi, Puskesmas Banyumulek, Puskesmas Perampuan dan Klinik An Nur. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan secara langsung dengan jumlah total 50 buah face shield. Due to the scarcity of personal protective equipment, another alternative to minimal self-protection to prevent the spread of Covid-19 is to use a Face Shield. Health workers in health facilities that directly provide community services have a high risk of contracting co-19. Therefore, the need to carry out activities to help provide PPE in health facilities, one of which is Face Shield. The purpose of this community service is to help health workers in preventing the spread of covid-19. In this community service, the division of face shields was carried out in a number of puskesmas and clinics including Labuapi Puskesmas, Banyumulek Puskesmas, Perampu Puskesmas and An Nur Clinic.
