ABSTRAKNovel coronavirus (COVID-19) saat ini telah menjadi pandemi dan masalah kesehatan dunia sehingga diperlukan upaya pengendalian dan pencegahan COVID-19. Salah satu upaya pencegahan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan meningkatkan ketahanan masyarakat, melalui kesehatan tubuh perorangan. Informasi mengenai suplemen kesehatan sangat diperlukan agar masyarakat dapat memilih dan menggunakan suplemen secara bijak untuk menghadapi COVID-19. Edukasi terkait penggunanaan suplemen kesehatan bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi yang benar, objektif dan tidak menyesatkan untuk menghadapi COVID-19 sehingga masyarakat dapat lebih memahaminya. Metode yang dilakukakan dengan memberikan sebanyak 30 booklet dan suplemen kesehatan kepada warga masyarakat Singasari, Puyung, Lombok Tengah. Wawasan masyarakat tentang penggunaan suplemen kesehatan meningkat setelah pemberian edukasi yang ditandai dengan masyarakat mampu mengulang kembali informasi yang sudah diberikan. Masyarakat dapat mengetahui bagaimana cara penggunaan suplemen yang tepat sehingga tidak salah dalam mengkonsumsi produk suplemen yang beredar dipasaran. One of the preventive efforts that can be done is to increase community resilience through the health of the individual body. Information about health supplements is needed so that people can choose and use supplements wisely to deal with COVID-19.Education related to the use of health supplements aims to provide correct, objective and not misleading information to deal with COVID-19 so that the public can better understand it. The method is carried out by providing as many as 30 booklets and health supplements to residents of the Singasari community, Puyung, Central Lombok. Public awareness about the use of health supplements increased after the provision of education, which was marked by the community being able to repeat the information that had been given. ABSTRAKLotion adalah sediaan kosmetik golongan emolien (pelembut) yang mengandung air lebih banyak. Sediaan ini memiliki beberapa sifat, yaitu sebagai sumber pelembab bagi kulit, memiliki lapisan minyak yang hampir sama dengan sebum. Hidroquinon (Hq) termasuk golongan senyawa fenol yang bersifat larut dalam air Senyawa ini digunakan sebagai bahan pemutih dan pencegahan pigmentasi yang bekerja menghambat enzim tirosinase yang berperan dalam penggelapan kulit, Merkuri adalah Merkuri (Hg) / air raksa termasuk logam berat berbahaya yang biasanya merkuri terdapat pada kosmetik yang digunakan untuk memucatkan flek pada kulit. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan apakah terdapat senyawa hidroquinon dan mekuri pada sediaan whitening body lotion di klinik kecantikan Kota Mataram dengan menggunakan metode uji reaksi warna dan metode titrasi sirimetri, setelah dilakukannya penelitian didapatkan hasil bahwa kosmetik khususnya whitening body lotion di klinik kecantikan Kota Mataram mengandung hidroquinon dan merkuri, namun untuk kadar hidroquinon masih di bawah batas tertentu yaitu dibawah 2 %. Setelah dilakukannya penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sediaan whitening body lotion yang didapakan dari beberapa klinik kecantikan di Kota Mataram dengan 3 macam sampel 1 sampel dianataranya positif mengandung hidroquinon dan 2 sampel lainnya positif mengandung merkuri. Hydroquinone (Hq) belongs to the class of phenol compounds that are soluble in the water This compound is used as a bleaching and pigmentation prevention that works to inhibit the enzyme tyrosinase that plays a role in skin darkening, Mercury is Mercury (Hg) / mercury including harmful heavy metals that are usually mercury found in cosmetics used to pronounce spots on the skin. This study was conducted to determine whether there are hydroquinone and mercury compounds in whitening body lotion preparations in Mataram city beauty clinics using color reaction test methods and perimetric titration methods after the study obtained results that cosmetics, especially whitening body lotion in Mataram city beauty clinics contain hydroquinone and mercury, but for hydroquinone, levels are still below a certain limit of below 2%. After the study, it can be concluded that the preparation of whitening body lotion obtained from several beauty clinics in Mataram City with 3 kinds of samples 1 sample of which is positive contains hydroquinone and 2 other samples positive contains mercury.Keywords : Hydroquinone; Mercury; Whitening Body Lotion; Sirimetric titration.
Diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) are a common complication of diabetes and can lead to severe disability and even amputation. Despite advances in treatment, there is currently no cure for DFUs and available drugs for treatment are limited. This study aimed to identify new candidate drugs and repurpose existing drugs to treat DFUs based on transcriptomics analysis. A total of 31 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified and used to prioritize the biological risk genes for DFUs. Further investigation using the database DGIdb revealed 12 druggable target genes among 50 biological DFU risk genes, corresponding to 31 drugs. Interestingly, we highlighted that two drugs (urokinase and lidocaine) are under clinical investigation for DFU and 29 drugs are potential candidates to be repurposed for DFU therapy. The top 5 potential biomarkers for DFU from our findings are IL6ST, CXCL9, IL1R1, CXCR2, and IL10. This study highlights IL1R1 as a highly promising biomarker for DFU due to its high systemic score in functional annotations, that can be targeted with an existing drug, Anakinra. Our study proposed that the integration of transcriptomic and bioinformatic-based approaches has the potential to drive drug repurposing for DFUs. Further research will further examine the mechanisms by which targeting IL1R1 can be used to treat DFU.
ABSTRAKPandemi Covid-19 sangat berdampak pada perekonomian warga Desa Sembalun Lawang. Hal ini disebabkan karena turunnya jumlah wisatawan, sehingga berdampak pada merosotnya penjualan hasil pertanian desa tersebut. Stroberi sebagai salah satu komoditas utama Desa Sembalun Lawang selama ini dijual tanpa pengolahan menjadi produk jadi sehingga memiliki nilai penjualan yang rendah. Untuk itu, diversifikasinya menjadi produk kimia farmasi seperti sabun akan sangat meningkatkan daya saingnya di pasaran terutama dalam mendukung Gerakan Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS). Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dikemas dalam bentuk demo pembuatan sabun dari stroberi yang melibatkan kelompok pengelola tempat wisata, pelaku Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah (UMKM), serta kelompok Ibu-Ibu Pembina Kesejahteraan Keluarga (PKK) sebagai motor penggerak ekonomi di Desa Sembalun Lawang. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran pihak terkait terhadap upaya pengembangan suatu produk demi meningkatkan daya jualnya di pasaran. Kegiatan ini ternyata mampu menumbuhkan rasa ingin tahu masyarakat Desa Sembalun Lawang dan menumbuhkan upaya warga untuk lebih kreatif dan inovatif dalam rangka memaksimalkan potensi yang sudah dimiliki. Keterlibatan pemerintah desa diharapkan dapat mendukung keberlanjutan program pemberdayaan potensi yang selama ini masih kurang digali dan dimaksimalkan oleh masyarakat desa setempat dalam rangka meningkatkan ekonomi dan taraf hidup seluruh warga di desa tersebut. This is due to the decrease in the number of tourists, which has an impact on the decline in sales of agricultural products. Strawberries as one of the main commodities in Sembalun Lawang Village have been sold without processing into finished products so they have a low sales value. For this reason, its diversification into pharmaceutical products such as soap will greatly increase its competitiveness in the market, especially in supporting Gerakan Cuci Tangan Pakai Sabun (CTPS). This activity is packaged in the form of a demonstration of making soap from strawberries involving a group of tourist attractions, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) actors, and a group of Family Welfare Fosters (PKK) as the driving force of the economy in Sembalun Lawang Village. The purpose of this activity is to increase the knowledge and awareness of related parties towards the development of a product in order to increase its marketability. This activity turned out to be able to foster curiosity and efforts of the Sembalun Lawang Villager to be more creative and innovative in order to maximize thei potential sources. The involvement of the village government is expected to support potential empowerment programs that have not been explored and maximized by local villages in order to improve the economy and standard of living of all people in the village.
