This research was conducted with the aim of knowing how the living conditions of the people, especially on the island of Samosir, after the arrival of the colonists to the Batak land. The research method used in this research is using historical methods, namely heuristics or source collection, verification or source criticism, interpretation or interpretation and historiography. Therefore, the data was collected through books and journals that discussed the living conditions of the people, especially on the island of Samosir after the arrival of the colonists to the Batak lands as well as documents in the form of pictures taken from the KITLV magazine. So, the results found from this study are, after the arrival of the colony, namely the Dutch to the Batak land specifically on the island of Samosir, the condition of the community at that time was growing, characterized by more and more types of livelihoods, people's lives also increased, beliefs or spirituality experienced changes, maronan activities (shopping/buying and selling transactions) as economic, social and so on. So, it can be concluded that the arrival of Europeans, especially the Netherlands, had a profound impact on people's lives.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji: (1) Implementasi nilai karakter Nasionalisme melalui pembelajaran sejarah materi “Pendudukan Jepang di Indonesia” di SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan t.a 2018/2019, (2) Hasil dari implementasi nilai karakter nasionalisme di SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan, (3) Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam mengimplementasikan nilai karakter nasionalisme di SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Informan dalam penelitian ini adalah guru sejarah dan siswa siswi kelas XI di SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi yang dilakukan didalam kelas pada saat pembelajaran berlangsung maupun diluar kelas. Adapun teknik analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian menggunakan teori Miles dan Hubberman yang membagi teknik analisis data melalui 3 proses yaitu: reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data (penarikan kesimpulan). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah : (1) Guru Sejarah di SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan telah mengimplementasikan nilai karakter nasionalisme lewat perencanaan pembelajaran yang disusun kedalam RPP serta telah melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang dapat membantu menumbuhkan nasionalisme dalam diri siswa/i, (2) Hasil implementasi tersebut dapat diketahui melalui kegiatan, respon, serta tingkah laku siswa selama melakukan proses pembelajaran khususnya pada saat belajar sejarah, serta aktivitas siswa yang dilakukan diluar jam belajar dalam kelas, (3) Kendala yang dihadapi guru dalam mengimplementasikan nilai karakter nasionalisme di SMA Swasta Budisatrya Medan meliputi: waktu, faktor lingkungan, serta media elektronik seperti televisi dan handphone.Kata kunci : Nilai Karakter, Sejarah, Nasionalisme
This study aims to develop an Android-based interactive electronic module as a learning resource for students majoring in history education at the State University of Medan, Indonesia in the National Movement History course. The current digital era requires lecturers to be more creative and innovative in developing learning resources that can reach and attract students who are technology and information literate and proficient. In developing this module, the researcher used the research and development model of the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The advantages of this model are simple, easy to learn and systematic structure. In addition, the researcher also involved experts in the material (content), linguistic, and presentation aspects. The results showed that this module is very feasible, effective and interactive as a learning resource. It can be seen from the results of the first stage the average score of the first stage is 3.48 (good). While the average score of the material expert assessment in the second stage is 4.13, if it is presented then the number is 82.6%, it means that the feasibility value of the product developed based on the material expert's assessment is in the Eligible category.
The purpose of this research is to develop African history teaching materials based on multiculturalism for historical education students. Data collection is done using polls, observations, and interviews. The teaching materials are developed using the Borg and Gall models grouped in four stages, namely preliminary study, development, field test, dissemination and dissemination of products. Assessment of the 4.14 material members included in the good category and the assessment of the 4.07 media experts included in the good criteria. Student assessments in limited field test stages, wider field tests, and operational tests of 4.19 respectively; 4.26; and 4.14. The value 4.19 in field trials are included in the good criteria, the value of 4.26 in the broader field test is included in excellent criteria, and the value 4.14 in the operational test is included in the good criteria.
The background of this research because of unattractive students worksheet in general, learning activity is still centered to the teacher/verbalistic and lack of using student worksheet in classroom activity. The purpose of this research is to develop SW (Student Worksheet) and to see the appropriateness based on magazine layout in History, Sumpah Pemuda subject matter in state senior high school 5 Binjai grade eleven. The method was used in this research using development model from Borg and Gall which divided into seven stages such as Preliminary study, Research planning, Developing early form product and design validation, Early trial, Product revision, Field trial and Final revision product. After tested, then the result of the research showed 91% scored (Including Valid Criteria) in early trial or field/large and able to attract student attentiveness learning on History subject.Keywords : Student Worksheet, Magazine Layout, History Subject ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang menariknya tampilan LKS pada umumnya, kegiatan belajar masih berpusat pada guru/verbalistik, dan kurangnya penggunaan LKS dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu Mengembangkan LKS (Lembar Kerja Siswa) Berbasis Layout Majalah Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Materi Sumpah Pemuda di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Binjai dan Melihat Kelayakan LKS (Lembar Kerja Siswa) Berbasis Layout Majalah Pada Mata Pelajaran Sejarah Materi Sumpah Pemuda di Kelas XI SMA Negeri 5 Binjai. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan dari Borg and Gall yang terdiri dari tujuh tahapan yaitu studi pendahuluan, perencanaan penelitian, pengembangan format produk awal dan validasi desain, uji coba awal, revisi produk, uji coba lapangan, dan revisi produk. Setelah diuji cobakan, maka dapat diketahui bahwa hasil penelitian mengenai kelayakan LKS (Lembar Kerja Siswa) Berbasis Layout Majalah mendapatkan nilai 91% (termasuk kriteria sangat valid) baik uji coba awal maupun lapangan/luas dan mampu menarik perhatian siswa dalam pembelajaran sejarah.Kata Kunci : Lembar Kerja Siswa, Layout Majalah, Pembelajaran Sejarah
