The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation continues to actively modernize military towns: the bet is placed on prefabricated modular buildings. Such buildings comply with the basic requirement for military installations - mobility. The article presents examples of existing modular military towns, as well as the results of a thermal survey of fencing structures of a modular building to accommodate military personnel.
Abstract. The most common problem among a vast variety of design and performance management problems for the industrial enterprises supply chain networks is determining transport and storage processes' characteristics in the areas of high population density. The divergence of the logistic structure development in the area has a major influence on the choice of location for the warehouses and the characteristics of the corresponding material flows. This article addresses the issues of determining transport and warehousing systems characteristics in a major population center and its suburbs. In particular, this means the warehouse location and the delivery lot sizes. The article suggests a procedure for solving this problem based on a set of mathematical models using linear and non-linear optimization via the standard algorithms of common computer software like Microsoft Excel, Mathcad, MatLab, etc.
The process of «flat» design fell into the background, giving way to new technologies and opportunities. Today, it is impossible to imagine a high-level designing without using technologies such as BIM (Building Information Modeling). The principles of information modeling allow you to increase the speed of the project work and not affect the quality of project.
Modern software allows not only to build a 3Dl model, but also fill it with all sorts of information about all elements of the project.
A very important issue to be considered in the publication is why BIM technologies are needed for modern Russian design companies.
The authors conducted a review and analysis of software tools in the field of building design, providing the possibility of automating the creation of individual elements. Also the article describes a general algorithm for creating elements of complex structures using automation tools as part of software environments for building design. The algorithm is described on the example of designing a pedestrian bridge with an arched construction of the transition. Autodesk Revit PC and special add-on Dynamo are used for work.
This algorithm saves design time, and therefore saves and financial costs. The design process is becoming fast and convenient.
Optimal insulation for the walls of the house is selected based on the material of construction and must meet several requirements. This article describes the method of justifying the dependence of the cost of heaters on their technical characteristics, based on a statistical analysis of price and thermophysical characteristics, used later in the development of optimization models for the selection and use of thermal insulation materials (heaters). To assess the quality of the resulting economic and mathematical model, the coefficient of determination was used. In order for the number of regressors (factors) not to affect the statistics of this coefficient, an adjusted coefficient of determination was also calculated, which gives a “penalty” for the factors included in the model.
Earthwork cost is one of the major cost items (approximately 25% of the construction costs) in road construction projects. The amount of earthwork volumes therefore earthwork cost, mostly depends on the geometry of the road vertical alignment. We can conclude that an optimized vertical alignment has a profound impact on earthwork costs. In this research paper, we solve the task connected to the minimization of earthwork cost by optimizing vertical alignment by the development of linear optimization model with different categories of unknown variables including vertical offsets between road and surface in different points as well as extremum points’ numbers. Proposed linear optimization model is supposed to be implemented with application of simplex method as the component of complex branch and bound approach. The developed model has been implemented on the basis of practical example. After the optimization of vertical alignment, earthwork volumes have been calculated in the road design software with average end area volume calculation method. We also have provided numerical results which include earthwork volumes and cost improvements over preliminary design.
