As one of the world’s and Indonesia’s most important tourist destination, Bali tourism sector has significantly contributed to both Indonesia’s and Bali’s economy. This study explores how tourism companies communicate CSR including goals, audiences, contents, channels, and strategy. Data are gathered through a single case study approach and thirteen semi-structured interviews to the representatives of hotels, restaurants, tour and travels, and tourism companies in Bali. Data are analyzed by using QDA Miner software. The result shows that relationships, reputation, and branding are the most common goals of communicating CSR. The companies communicated mostly to internal stakeholders; employees and owner, to customers, and the local community. However, there was no specific policy on contents. The companies use reports, meeting, announcement board, e-mail, and in-house communication system to communicate with internal stakeholders; social media, employee, and CSR involvement to communicate with customers; and newspaper, social media, TV, meeting, and employee to communicate to society. An involving strategy was prevalently used mainly through dialogic meeting with the employees and the local community

The aims of this paper are to analyze business performance and competitiveness of SMEs in Bali from the perspective of human resource competency and market orientation. This research was conducted with 100 owners of SMEs of wood craft in Bali. The data were collected through interview, observation, questionnaire, and documentation, then analyzed using the following techniques: (1) descriptive statistic; and (2) structure equation models. The results of the analysis show that: (1) the business performance and competitiveness of SMEs are categorized as fair; (2) Human resource competency has a positive and significant effect on market orientation and business performance of SMEs; (3) business performance has a positive and significant effect on the competitiveness of SMEs; (4) market orientation has a positive and significant effect on the business performance and competitiveness of SMEs. The relevant suggestions for this study are (1) improving HR managerial skills by participating in training; (2) improving product quality by minimizing costs through innovation; (3) Empowering the government to play a role in helping SMEs to open market access.

Tourism marketing practices have gradually changed into more digital, thanks to the invention of the Internet and Communication Technology. It alters the notion of word of mouth to electronic word of mouth through social media applications. This study aims to investigate the Generation Z perceptions toward the usage of social media and its features in the pre-trip planning decision-making process. Why Generation Z? The reason is this generation is raised in the Internet era and they never experienced non-Internet era. For the purpose of this research Generation Z are those who were born in 1995-2000. The study applied a qualitative approach by administered questionnaires for data collection to Generation Z and analysed employing the descriptive method. The results suggest that Generation Z used the Internet mostly for accessing photo and video sharing sites by 70% and 68% respectively. Generation Z took into account mostly the content of social media, online review groups, and online recommendation from friends and relatives in the information search stage. Interestingly, they trust positive comments in the online travel community for granted and willing to share their travel experiences on community sites. The fake social media content is undeniably existing and future researchers should pay attention to this negative side of social media.

The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of work experience and communication on the performance of secretaries at Bali's Five-Star Hotels. This study was quantitative in nature. In this study, the population consisted of 98 secretaries from 50 five-star hotels in Bali that had been registered since 2021. This study's sample consisted of 98 Executive Secretaries and Departmental Secretaries selected using the side saturation or “Sampling Jenuh” technique. The data used were primary data derived from respondents' responses, which were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The strategy for collecting data consisted of a Google Form questionnaire. In this study, it was found that 1) work experience has a positive and substantial influence on secretary performance, 2) communication has a positive and significant influence on secretary performance, and 3) both work experience and communication have a positive and significant influence on secretary performance. As for the guidance that may be given to Five Star Hotels in Bali, particularly the secretarial division, it is suggested that the secretary's excellent performance must be supported by a high level of commitment to performing responsibilities in line with the job description.
