Modified silica gel was prepared to remove the heavy metal of chromium(III) from water sample. Silica gel was used as supporting material and the 2-mercaptoimidazole was immobilized onto surface silica so that the silica would have selective properties to adsorb the heavy metal chromium(III) through the formation of coordination compound between the 2-mercaptoimidazole and chromium(III). The characterization of modified silica gel was carried out by analyzing the Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrum of this material in order to ensure the immobilization of 2-mercaptoimidazole onto the surface. The effect of pH solution, initial concentration of chromium(III), and interaction time were investigated in batch mode to find the adsorption properties of chromium(III) onto modified silica. The condition optimum of these parameters was applied to determine the removal percentage of chromium(III) in water sample using the modified silica gel
Abstract.As by-product of pretreatment bioethanol production, ligno-cellulosic biomass creates an abundance of bioresidue. This work is devoted to studies the antioxidant activity of lignin that obtained from recovery process of bioethanol by-product. This by-product comes from pretreatment process of empty fruit palm bunch in acid (pH 2) and alkaline (pH 12) conditions. The samples of purified lignin were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Particle Size Analyzer (PSA). Radical scavenging efficiency of lignin was examined by the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) method using quercetin as a standard. The value of IC50 showed that the lignin that was purified in acid condition (pH 2) gave the activity value in antioxidant active range (IC50 sample Lignin pH 2 = 69.41), on the other hand the lignin that was purified in alkaline condition (Lignin pH 12) did not have the activity value as an antioxidant (IC50 sample Lignin pH 12 = NA).
Adanya wabah (Covid 19), secara langsung berdampak pada pekerja yaituadanya Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK). Perlunya penyuluhan diberikankepada para pekerja yang ada dalam Serikat Pekerja di daerah Tangerangmaupun pekerja di luar dari serikat Pekerja yang terkena dampak Covid 19.Metode yang digunakan dengan metode penyuluhan dan diskusi.Penyuluhan yang diberikan mengenai hak –hak yang diterima para pekerjaterkena PHK maupun dampak covid 19, berdasarkan aspek hukum sertamembangun mental positif bagi para pekerja terkena dampak pandemik.Kegiatan diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan wawasan parapekerja mengenai hukum tentang hak –hak yang diterima, sehingga parapekerja memahami apa saja yang harus diterima dan mampu menyampaikanproblemnya dengan cara –cara yang benar, selain itu para pekerja bisamemahami permasalahan secara positif dengan mental yang dibangun agardapat mengambil langkah yang strategis dalam menciptakan pekerjaan baru.Dari 15 peserta yang hadir sebagian besar responnya positif.Kata kunci: PHK, Mental positif, Hak, Pekerja.
