Bu çalışma, okul psikolojik danışmanlarının, kapsamlı rehberlik ve psikolojik danışma programına ilişkin yapılan hesap verebilirlik uygulamalarını belirlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada, hesap verebilirlik uygulamalarına ilişkin veri toplamak amacıyla araştırmacılar tarafından geliştirilen Hesap Verebilirlik Uygulamalarını Belirleme Anketi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmaya 111 okul psikolojik danışmanı katılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre okul psikolojik danışmanlarının çoğu hesap verebilirlik uygulamalarına yer vermektedir. Hesap verebilirlik bilgisini toplamak için en fazla bireysel görüşmeler kullanılmaktadır. Hesap verebilirlik uygulamaları için en yaygın engel, çok zaman alacağı inancıdır. Bu engelleri aşmak için ise genellikle işbirliği yapıldığı belirtilmiştir. Meslek örgütleri veya üniversitelerden hesap verebilirlik uygulamaları için en fazla beklenen desteğin hesap verebilirlik uygulamaları ile ilgili eğitim olduğu belirlenmiştir.
Okul psikolojik danışmanlarına göre COVID-19 pandemi süreci ve uzaktan eğitim uygulamalarının öğrenci, öğretmen ve velilere olumlu ve olumsuz yansımalarının incelendiği bu araştırma, nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kapsamında yürütülmüştür. Araştırma verileri 2020-2021 eğitim-öğretim yılı güz dönemi sonunda, resmi okullarda görev yapmakta olan ve amaçlı örnekleme yöntemiyle belirlenen 55 okul psikolojik danışmanından çevrim içi görüşmeler aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin çözümlenmesinde içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Okul psikolojik danışmanlarına göre pandemi sürecinin öğrenciler için; ilişkisel, bireysel/psikolojik ve akademik olarak olumlu katkıları ve olumsuz etkileri; öğretmenler için; eğitim-öğretimin işleyişine ve kişisel yaşantılarına yönelik olumlu katkıları ve olumsuz etkileri; veliler için ise ebeveyn-çocuk ve eğitim ilişkisine katkıları ve kişisel yaşantılarına yönelik olumlu katkıları ve olumsuz etkileri bulunmaktadır. Elde edilen sonuçlar literatür ışığında tartışılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
The aim of this study is to determine the reasons why undergraduate first year students in the Psychological Counseling and Guidance (PDR) program prefer PDR. The study group consists of 200 (women and men) students who have just started to study in the PDR department of 10 different universities. The phenomenology design from qualitative research methods is used in this research. The research data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of 10 open-ended and closed-ended questions developed by the researchers. Data were analyzed using content analysis. According to the results of the research, psychological counselors are seen by the participants as psychological supporters in schools. They stated that psychological counselors worked outside the school in courthouses and private companies. While perceiving the concept of guidance teacher in the context of school, teacher and student; the concept of psychological counselors is perceived as psychology graduates working with adults and outside school. Most of the participants preferred the PDR program in the first place. They mostly benefited from school psychological counselors and family members as a source of information and support during the choice process. The participants expressed personal factors as the reasons for preference the PDR program. This was followed by political, economic and educational factors and social factors.The results of the research were discussed based on the related literature. The limitations of the research and suggestions for future research are presented.
