The study aimed to determine (1) Learning Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) model on student’s problem solving abilities environmental material. (2) Expository model teaching on student’s problem solving abilities environmental material. (3) The difference between AIR and expository teaching model on student’s problem solving abilities and environmental material is better between the two. The population in this study were students of class XI-IPS SMA Negeri 2 Brebes. The samples taken at random sampling with XI-IPS 1 as an experimental class and XI-IPS 2 as a control class. The study design used was quasy experimental with posttest-only control design.
Learning English syntax is taken as a boring subject for the majority of students since the activities frequently monotonous and the classroom setting becomes quiet and too formal. The study is intended to discover the use of games in the learning of English syntax. It is conducted to find out whether the games provided by students themselves (autonomously) are able to make a joyful learning activities and able to increase their involvement in the learning process. The study makes use descriptive research which is classified into a case study. The data are collected through classroom observation, questionnaire to gain students' response toward the classroom learning activities. There are ample remote learning platforms to be used and obviously each of them has strengths and weaknesses. However, based on a survey, WhatsApp becomes the top choice to be used by students in Madura for some reasons; this is a case study on maximizing the use of Whatsapp to promote students’ engagement in English remote learning. The data are collected through Google form questionnaire and in-depth interview via WhatsApp voice notes. The subjects are English lecturers and higher education students of English department from several Universities in Madura whom are volunteers to be taken as sample. The result showed that exploring the various features of WhatsApp, blending various learning platforms to WhatsApp and lecturer’s creativity in maximising the use of WhatsApp enable to promote the students’ engagement toward the English remote learning. Thus, it is suggested to maximize the use of WhatsApp as to promote the students’ engagement towards the English Remote Learning.
In this paper, we introduce generalized Baskakov Kantorovich Stancu type operators and investigate direct result, local approximation and weighted approximation properties of these operators. Modulus of continuity, second modulus of continuity, Peeter's K-functional, weighted modulus of continuity and Lipschitz class are considered to prove our results.
